Matt Milne to Play New Servant on Downton Abbey

Matt Milne has been cast on Downton Abbey Season 3.
The actor (War Horse) will come on board as Alfred Nugent, O'Brien's nephew and the footman who will take the place of the late William and recently-promoted Thomas.
Teases executive producer Gareth Neame to William Keck of TV Guide Magazine:
"Alfred worked silver service at a hotel and tries to serve that way, which would never be done in a home. It really rattles Carson."
Among other Season 3 teases offered by the producer: Thomas will find trouble when he makes an unwanted advance on another man; and the family will take a vacation on the season finale.
"We leave the house and go somewhere else for a period, with only some of the staff invited," says star Hugh Bonneville.
Downton Abbey premieres in the U.S. on January 6.
