New Girl Casts Mr. and Mrs. Day!

A couple of very familiar faces will show up for Thanksgiving on New Girl.

Fox has announced that Rob Reiner and Jamie Lee Curtis have been cast as Bob and Joan Day, the parents of Zooey Deschanel's Jess. Look for them to show up in late November.

What brings these veteran stars to town? It's unclear, but they may need to be there for their daugher. Jess will lose her job early on New Girl Season 2, which kicks off with TWO episodes on September 25.

In other ridiculously awesome casting news, Carla Gugino will appear on three New Girl episodes as a kinky love interest for Schmidt.
