Last night's season premier was the best episode yet. It was some great TV viewing! I love you Jim Caviezel!

I love this show. Period. Person of Interest is one of the best shows to come along in quite a while. And it captures my attention for the entire hour - no getting up to do anything else while it's on. And I'm all for the addition of Bear: this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship! Great season opener!

So glad to see this show again. It is one of the few that I really enjoy. Reese is great and a fine actor. Be interesting to see how Root will be caught! And Finch, he is full of surprises. So calm! I rate 5 Stars.

From the start this has become my favorite TV drama. All the characters have a mystery behind them that makes me want to know more and see more. This new season started off again with me wanting more. Looking forward to seeing what happens next. Just ...please, please, please... DO NOT get rid of Finch. He is awesome.

First - it's one of my favorite shows. But having Finch sit before a person whose job is not only to deal cards, but to be hyper vigilant to cheaters while his cellphone buzzed on every hand? And she remained blissfully ignorant? No.
Also... Aryan nation bikers on japanese motorcycles? Again - no.
Keep it plausible guys.

Another great premier, and I was loving every minute of Reese talking to the machine and letting it know that he can't go on without Finch. I'm also loving/hating Amy Acker's insane Root, and hoping that she meets an appropriately grisly end, soon!
I also loved Bear being added to the team, and though he said he was speaking Dutch, it sounded to me like he was actually speaking Pennsylvania Deutch, which is German, not Dutch. Anyway, that scene with the HUGE biker guy (he must have been like 7 feet tall and weighed about 275-300 pounds...he was mamoth!) was hilarious, and it was great that Carter saved him. There were lots of fascinating moments in this ep, and I can hardly wait for next week!

Great episode. Love the dry wit. I'm curious why the reviewer gave such a low score when the review was so laudatory?

Loved the opening show of POI. The series perked my interest from its beginning because of it's different and bizarre storyline. I agree that the show has gotten, better and better and has more depth than from the outset.
Reese is hilarious - I live for his one-liners - "I only have one friend, as Fusco looks at him like what about me - he says - well, maybe two". And, when he spoke to Bear in Dutch and he listened - I was never so thankful for re-wind on the DVR. There were numerous other moments that kept me glued to my seat.
Can't wait for next week!!

POI is back - finally! And back with a vengeance! I loved Reese staring down the machine - twice. He refused to be the "contingency" unless the machine helped him get back Finch. Guest star, Leung, was super and loved his wondering if Reese was losing his marbles (by talking to street cameras and answering pay phones). Loved the introduction of the Dutch-speaking "Bear"! Hopefully, Bear will keep Reese company and protect him until Finch is saved. Root is really evil. I hope Bear bites her. Got a giggle out of Finch testing the machine at a casino where it helped him win over $250K and saved his life (which Finch admonished the machine for doing and said it was supposed to save others - not him. What?)! Overall, great start to S2! Once again, the actors and POI writers have left me breathless - and wanting (much) more!
Great review, Sean!

Great return and the hour passed so fast! Loved everything from Reese following the clues to how Finch might be coming up the SSNs to "help;" and Finch's cool demeanor, allowing Root to babble on and still be cruel enough to kill. Love Bear and and that whole story line, while finding Finch foremost in Reese's mind and agenda. Carter and Fusco together on board is funny to watch...waiting to see is they try to one-up on each other helping Finch/Reese. But do have one question.....hubby said the latest "victim" hid the missing money in the car upholstry/seats and which was then torn apart by Bear along with the bonds....so fast I didn't see it. Did he? Hope Zoe is utilized more to help find Finch. Great review, Sean!

This was a fantastic season premiere for a returning show - the best I've seen thus far and going beyond my high expectations, given how quality it became over the course of its first season. The twists: fab. The lines: in character, bitingly funny, and clever. Character growth (even in this one episode): check and double-check.
5 stars outta 5 stars!

It is usually a bad sign when a show introduces an animal to the cast - it's usually a cheap gag, so they can do stupid animal humor ("Oh, look! Rover ate my homework and Teacher will never believe me!") In this case, I absolutely love the addition of Bear. To be fair, I don't think a trained military or police dog would tear apart a bunch of bonds, but they didn't go overboard and the guy really did have it coming!

I think it's funny nowadays that people are so willing to dismiss a show after only seeing it's pilot. Good thing people stuck around and decided to stick with this show.
Our need for instant gratification is getting out of hand.

"Person" gave me an image of Reese as a Terminator in his own right, but with humanity and the reminder of a love lost by his own inaction (Peter Parker, anyone?)
So, it's enthralling to have an expectation of Reese himself being unleashed mentally. He's a badass, but he knows how to use the things around him. Such as knowing that "Bear" only responded to commands in Dutch. I really wonder what that dog did to those Aryan bad guys.
I believe that Root has to die now since we have seen her hurt others, including Finch. Or disappear like Voldemort, only to return in a future story arc.
Can't wait for next week.

Wow... What can I say about this episode other than it live up to my expectations, and they were very high.
As I watched, I knew there was something wrong. What was wrong was that the team was missing one of its members. It was to be expected given Finch's status.
Root, Amy Acker, again provided a classic example of a sociopath. Some may think she might be a mirror image of (rather a negative image) of Finch, but Finch cares. Root does not. She is like a machine, emotionless. Her saying that she wants to set the machine free at the end sounds like those fanatics that are willing to destroy the world just to be proven right.
Reese once again showed what a bad ass he truly is,and the introduction of Bear is a welcome addition.
Fusco.. What can I say other than he had some great lines at Reese's expense.
Carter too, though at the periphery in this episode, showed that she is now fully committed to the team...

Can I just say the most awesome thing was the last season recap? That rocked. I heard an interesting comparison for Root today and it seemed appropriate with Elementary premiring next and that was she is like Moriarty. Just as smart and dangerous as our heroes but off her rocker...I have this odd feeling that we are all focused on Reese & Carter and Fusco somehow stumbles into finding Finch (well hopefully Zoe steps in to help). But this show is awesome....

As high as my expectations for this premiere episode of Season 2 was.....and as much as I anticipated it, the show simply astounded me once again. So cool to see Reese patiently explaining about how that particular military dog was trained, and doing the demonstration, just before you see that glint that he always gets in his eyes right before he opens up a can of whoop-ass. Perfect. And so now - he has a new partner, with the dog? I'm guessing so.
And Russo got just a tiny crumb for once, when Reese ruefully acknowledged his friendship. Sort of. It was enough, right? Man - this is just an amazing show. Great writing, awesome acting.

This show has become one of the greatest TV drama for me! I really enjoyed the premiere! Reese and his smoothness and his dry humor had me smiling and filled with excitement right through the whole hour! I loved the scene with him and that giant of a guy and then Carter coming to save the day. I hope he gets to keep his four legged partner!:)
