Rookie Blue Casting for Two New Officers

by at . Comments

A pair of new officers will be featured on Rookie Blue Season 4.

Andy's Domestic Disturbance

Executive Producer Tassie Cameron tells TV Line that one newbie will be "hilariously filter-less," adding of the female cop:

“She brings up a lot of stuff with the other characters because she’s one of those fun characters who says exactly what’s on her mind all the time.”

The other addition will be the complete opposite, a senior officer who’s “weary” of the young officers at the precinct.

“She’s tough," teases Cameron. "She’s nine years on the force, including a stint in SWAT as a negotiator. So she’s a very experienced officer with some fast decision making skills that are in obvious contrast to the new rookie, for example. It’s fun always to bring somebody in to the series who’s not dying to make friends with people right away, who’s assessing our characters a little bit and not jumping in saying, ‘I want to be your best friend.’”

Rookie Blue will return to ABC in the summer of 2013.

Andy left for a Task Force. Is she coming back??????? Does Sam find someone else?

This is an amazing show and of course the love interest of Sam and Andy always makes for an interesting episode. So glad to see that it's returning in the summer.

I look forward to the new rookie coming aboard. Perhaps a love interest for Dov?
As for the senior officer, perhaps a love interest for Luke? That way there is no way of him trying to get in between Andy and Sam when they get back together.
