I think is one episode that definitely needs more than one viewing to fully get what the writers are trying to do with Rookie Blue. I've never (no pun intended) been so back and forth with my feelings about an episode on any TV show. It's amazing what really hits us as viewers and how passionate we are about this show and especially the Sam and Andy romance.
Very interesting read and I agree with all the observations. I have hope for S4 and Sam and Andy finding their way back to each other. If this show goes against the whole Andy going under to focus on herself and have her hook up with Nick (off the job), I'll be questioning what exactly the writers are trying to do. I've always enjoyed the writing immensely and enjoy the journey of RB. Real life is messy and can be complicated, but when two people truly love each other and want to be together, they make it work no matter what!

I didn't like the way it ended. I think Sam behaved very badly by shutting her out. Their relationship hit a rough spot but when that happens to a couple that truly love each other you don't run away (task force) you try to work it out. I think it she went to the task force she should have told Sam to think about what he really wants and they would talk when she returns from the task force. I hope the writers don't have a bunch of bed hopping going on. If Andy truly loves Sam she wouldn't want to be with anyone else. If she hops into bed with Nick she is doing to Sam exactly what Luke Callaghan did to her. Also if she sleeps with Nick what a betrayal that would be to her friend Gail. The same also applies to Sam. If he hops into bed with Gail it would be Callaghan II to Andy. I think if that happens I'll watch more baseball next summer.

I really liked all of your answers to this one. I was mostly in agreement with all of you, which was interesting (and good... Glad I'm not alone *wink*).
Christine - the only thing about Nick going undercover is that we don't know if they needed someone with a military background. If so, Nick is a fresh face (so cons won't recognize him) and he knows the military lingo - as Sam hinted to in 3.04.
As for Andy going, Traci was supposed to go and since it was last minute and they needed to go under right away, if they are posing as a couple, Luke probably wanted someone who Nick knows.

Just to clarify, when I answered, I took the question about Sam's ILY to mean just the first one when she had the bomb, and the cliffhanger to be the surprise last minute selection of Andy and Nick for the taskforce.
