The Bachelor has picked a new star for its upcoming winter run, starting in January.

Is it Arie Luyendyk, Jr. or Sean Lowe? We've got the answer for you right here ...

It's Sean!

ABC has yet to confirm in a statement that it named Sean Lowe The Bachelor, but sources close to the reality show's production confirm he's the guy, and preliminary filming has already begun at his house.

Moreover, Arie has confirmed on Twitter that he's not the guy. Nor is Ryan Lochte, the Olympic swimming champion who expressed interest in - and was briefly considered for - the coveted Bachelor gig.

A 28-year-old insurance salesman from Texas, former D-I college football player and all-around good guy who emphasized faith and family, Sean was a fan favorite to win Emily Maynard's heart on The Bachelorette.

It wasn't to be.

He finished third this spring behind Arie and eventual winner Jef Holm. Lowe's emotional goodbye with Maynard was one of the sadder and most genuine moments in the show's 10-year history.
