I always thought Rosen was an Alpha (which he didnt know). I suspect that that is why Stanton wants him alive... because he is an Alpha. His ability- an Alpha empath- able to psychoanalyze, "communicate" and lead other Alphas. . A "super" alpha psychiatrist if you will. Thats how/why Rosen will survive (if show is renewed.)
I think Gary's mom- also an Alpha. Thats why she is starting to heal from her stroke at the very end. "Alphaism" is genetic. Thats why Lee Rosen had Dani. Its all genetic.

Gary's Mom makes sense from a Gary development point of view though. It is clear from the way he has been caring for and worrying about the safety of his mother, and his expressions of emotion, even if odd and quirky, that Gary has indeed been helped by Rosen's therapy.

I guess the fact that they brought back the actress and had her say the lines (instead of showing Rosen talking to himself, perhaps with a voice-over of "Dani's" responses) could have made it confusing for some viewers (that is probably why they gave Rosen those lines in which he clearly stated that he was in shock and hallucinating). It would be ridiculous if she was meant to be a ghost or an angel or a previously unknown Apha ability of Rosen's to talk to the dead (none of which would fall within the mythology of "Alphas" which is based on science and not metaphysics ... nothing in the show has explored the afterlife and it would make no sense to introduce it here). Oh, and it also wouldn't make sense to suggest that Dani was somehow alive and had faked her death - no one, including Parish and Hicks, could see her except for Rosen.

Rosen acknowledged in the first scene with Dani that she was his hallucination caused by being in shock from being shot - he said it straight up out loud. I don't know why you doubt that was the case. I thought it was very clear that she was a projection of Rosen's subconscious and that he knew it but allowed it to continue both because he was happy to "see" her and because it helped keep him on task (he used his hallucination to spitball ideas and plumb his subconscious for answers). Finally, she was a manifestation of his need for vengeance as she goaded him to kill Parish, but once he realized that the real Dani wouldn't have wanted to see him become a killer the hallucination changed from yelling at him to kill Parrish to seeming at peace and proud of her father. She was not Dani - she was Rosen.

This season finale FREAKED ME OUT! I mean WTF? Everyone dies? What a lousy way to end the series, if it isn't renewed! We Alpha fans would be left with nothing but questions, which sucks.
The only good parts of the episode were Nina admitting to herself that she still loves Cameron and then kissing him to let him know she still has feelings for him, and when Kat was THROWN by Bill all the freakin' way across the room so she could kick serious arse! That was AWESOME, to show that size doesn't matter when it comes to a fight, it's the ferocity and skills of the fighter that count. Go KAT! And Rosen was just so pathetic that I hope that he doesn't make it, because I think he should have had the stones to kill Parish, who is trying to destroy the world, for heavens sake!

A weird finale. What's up with Gary's mom? Is everyone dead? The background music made it all very normal, but everyone in Grand Central died. Right? Or is there more to it? So many questions leave one option: renewal or I'm gonna sue SyFy channel.

I am with Keemo . I want to riot if the show is not renewed.
As for why Gary's mom is on the show it is obvious the writers know families with high functioning Autistic adult children and understand to have Gary you must have his Mom. The relationship between Gary and his Mom is dead on accurate portrayal of such a relationship. In the end you can not have Gary with out his mom as the care need for such an individual from birth on cause this major entanglement that can not be undone once the child becomes an Adult.

Loved the episode. Even thought he episode was so serious most of the time there were some pretty funny parts. At the end I was thinking who is dead and I really hope the entire team is still alive there just uncontious. I really hope they get renewed and if they don't I agree we riot.

Great though somewhat muddled. A bigger photostimocalypse would have been better.
Rosen: What the hell am I doing? I've never stole anything before in my life.
