Some serious plot holes as mention here. WTFiller episode.

love this series really enjoying it.one of the best on uk tv

Deadshot, not dead. Mythbusters episode where a sniper round through the eyescope won't kill a person, let alone an arrow through a giant metallic eyepiece. Plus the arrow was sticking out more or less the whole length of it. Great show, can't wait to see more.

"A Capable and badass female characters is pretty much unseen sight in channel like CW, so its more than welcome."

Bored Now, are you kidding? Haven't you seen Nikita? Nikita and Alex are 2 females on CW who kick real ass. Also the new show, Beauty and the Beast, that Kruek girl from Smallville kicked some real ass in the pilot and 2nd episodes. You're missing out on some good shows if you haven't ever watched Nikita, and if you missed the new Beauty and the Beast. Check them out.

I'm enjoying this new show, Arrow, tremendously. Agree with most of the posts so no need to say more.

The characters are excellent in this show! I love them all. I was especially happy that Dig found out who Arrow is at the end of this ep. and I love Laurel's father. He's not some dumb police officer and he's shown that he doesn't let his dislike of certain people (such as arrow) deter him from the facts. Love the little character nods too. Like Laurel kicking ass (like black canary), and nearly every time you see merlin he's wearing black.

Deadshot is technically still alive at the end of the episode (his neck was twitching, so he still had a pulse). So he very well may return in future episodes.
I'm really curious to know how oliver managed to become a captain in the Bratva on the island though.

Arrow in the eye. Yeah, dead. in OUR WORLD. Although, this is TV, and TV World is known for clearly bending the rules of physics as well as medicine, and counting--how many bullets does a 6-shooter REALLY have?

I would expect to see One Shot return, simply because in TV world everything is, well, different.

Great show! Keep up the good work.

I am loving this show. I'm not familiar with the comic series, but have a general idea from other people 's comments. I loved Laurel kicking butt and Diggle finding out the truth. I'm glad they didn't drag him finding out any longer, because I don't think a bodyguard who can't keep track of his client would keep his job realistically. I'm also intrigued by Moira Queen. Obviously shady and yet some shades of a good person. If she is a full-fledged villain, I like them layered, so I'm pleased they are making her more than just a Queen B. I also presume Deadshot really isn't dead since he is supposed to be a major villain. Where's the fun in killing him off so soon?

It is very obvious that Laurel still loves Oliver and is with Tommy to try and get over him but it will only be a matter of time before she is back with Oliver.

BEST SHOW on TV! At lease in my opinion! This show is so great! I know some people think Stephen Ammell can not act and that his voice overs are cheesy. While I do think at times they can be a little cheesy it does not bother me at all. It works very well. I can understand Thea being a little messed up but she is quite the brat, I think that the talk with her mom may have made her smarten up a little. Oliver is just trying to help her and she is being mean to him!
I knew that Diggle would be the one to find out about Oliver first! I loved that he will have a confidant! I do think he let it slip as it as an odd conversation have with Dig. Oliver knew he had to let Dig in on who he was sooner than later. As Dig following him to the bathroom would have been the last straw!
Once again Oliver had some funny lines!
I too think that Moira is behind all this and sent the black ops guys to the island.

I think DeadShot was using the scope on his other eye as a range finder, which usually requires a two person sniper team. He was awesome. I also thought that the storyline intentionally created a situation where he didn't get to wait around to see if DS was really dead (ie poisoned Diggle). I was thinking/hoping maybe we would find out somehow the arrow missed vital brain and brain stem areas and that he would live. Then he could replace that eye with a mechanical one that glows red... I mean why would they show that he was Diggle's bro's killer then one-off him like that? IDK here's hoping.

I'm not sure if Oliver really knew about Laurel and Tommy, that guy is pretty good in hiding his thoughts. But I really think we don't need this love triangle.
We saw him spy on them in the end of first episode, so yeah, he knew.

Ok, I know I said that already, but this show is seriously cool.

I love Diggle and I'm so glad he knows the truth. He will be perfect as the right-hand man. I'm sure we'll soon learn more about his brother, who was clearly killed by Deadshot.

The IT girl scene was fun. I wonder if we'll see her on a regular basis. She's a perfect girl for Tommy, all problems solved.

Did anyone notice that "Andrew Diggle" was tattoo'd on Deadshot's chest? And then they added the bit about his brother being killed? I'm pretty sure there's not too many people running around with the last name Diggle. Makes me wonder where this is gonna go.

I loved this episode. It was great seeing Laurel kicking ass. I knew Diggle would find out at some point. I liked how the detective knew that the kill wasn't the work of arrow. I agree that the detective probably hates arrow a little less but he still hates him and will be looking for him. I loved the ending when Diggle got hit so Oliver took back to his hideout and took care of him then when he woke up Oliver was there with his hood down and just said Hay. Can't wait till the next episode.

One thing though: Did dead shot die? That was slightly anti climactic! Dead shot is supposed to be one of Arrow's foes. So happy that Katie Cassidy is on one of my fav shows. And I loved that they are using some of martial art skills Black Canary had! A nice shout out to her. Very awesome ep.

And Arrow continues to be THE ONLY show worth watching on CW.

    Another BRILLIANT episode.

First of all - FUCK YES for Laurel kicking ass. Makes me think that her best friend will get killed somewhere along the way, leading her to go down the path her comic-book self went.

A Capable and badass female characters is pretty much unseen sight in channel like CW, so its more than welcome.

Also LOVE that the show is not dragging out people finding out who Arrow is - the characters are portrayed as perceptive and capable and I would not be surprised if someone else (Laurel? Merlin? Oliver's sister?) would figure it out before the season ends.

Good episode, but one thing still bugs me, the fact that Oliver is so technology smart, it's pretty obvious that they are gonna explain he got his Martian art skills from the guy on the island, but how he learn how to use A FBI tracking system on a computer & determine what kind of poison the bullet was laced with ? It would of been cool if they kept Deadshot alive for a couple more episode instead of just killing him right away, it was cool to see Laural kick ass maybe she'll become the Black Canary ? & I'm glad that Diggle found out about Oliver. I don't really like thr actor that plays Detective Lance ..something about his face, mouth & hair bugs me lol. But all in all a good episode

  18. Davenex

Can anyone explain to me the use of Deadshot's eyepiece if he looks through the scope of his rifle with the other eye?

Other than that this episode was pretty interesting and the last scene was awesome!

  19. Alex

After following Ollie up to the roof, how did Diggle get to the building across, where Arrow and Deadshot were fighting?

Arrow got there by shooting a zipline arrow across the distance, sliding across and crashing through a window. How did DIGGLE get across? By running back DOWN the stairs to the ground floor, out the building, across to the OTHER building, getting inside somehow and then finding a way back UP the other building, looking for him???

And why would he do that, when he was following and looking for OLIVER, rather than his alter-ego Arrow. Made absolutely no sense.

But that's okay... it was still a cool episode. :)

  20. Wrex

Diggie will be Oliver's version of Batman's Alfred. And I believe he's more loyal to Oliver than to his next paycheck from Oliver's mother. He's had a lot of reason to say "fuck this." and leave; but the last episodes, he's started to see what kind of man Oliver is and has started to accept and respect that. Personally, he and Thea are my favorite characters. I'm looking forward to how he helps Ollie from here on out.

I do have a problem with this episode. Seriously, we introduce Deadshot just to kill him off in the same episode? I know he's minor and all but it didn't really seem like a challenge for Oliver. I mean, Deadshot could have been Oliver's first real challenge as a vigilante where he would encounter an opponent that matched his skills. It'd force Ollie to make mistakes, overcome his limits, and learn. They could have dragged Deadshot out a couple episodes or dropped him in a few seasons later when he's hired again by someone else.Instead, Oliver just puts an ar

I've been waiting for the time Diggle would find out. I'm so glad the writers didn't drag it out. I hope Diggle will be on Oliver's side, (Oli's Alfred perhaps?) even though Diggle's "client" is Moira Queen. I don't trust her. I bet we all don't. I'm having a half and half feeling that she knows about the island. Maybe she does. But she might not. I think the only thing she did was sabotaging the yacht. Since episode 1, and I still have strong feelings about this till proven wrong, I think Robert Queen purposely headed towards that Island's direction. In episode 1, he kept on stressing that Oliver should right his wrongs. Oliver knew about Tommy and Laurel since episode 1. I think he heard Tommy and Laurel talking at the alley. Also, Oliver's voice as Oliver and as Arrow isn't fooling anyone. Am I the only one who realises they both sound the same? How is it possible Lance didn't notice that?
@duckie192 I think they purposely include that tattoo in.

It was mostly boring. Deadshot's tattoos were insane/cool. Laurel saved Oliver and Tommy from a worse beatdown and she was such a dork creeping on Oliver online and then being embarrassed at getting caught :) Oliver has a voice-over while sitting next to the cool IT woman LOL. Great last scene.

@duckie192: I went to that scene where he was tattooing himself for the second time in this episode and I saw it. OH shit! that was shocking. That's why they showed bodyguard Diggle's sister-in-law..

I been having a hard time with this show because I keep thinking of smallville green arrow. This show play his character very different. Just getting use to it. I don't know if anyone agree to this but I can. See. Oliver and the compture girl will but more? I do the end when Tommy and Laurel had a moment together. I thing we going to see a love tangled between. Oliver Tommy and Laurel. Also I so glad that Oliver going to have someone to talk to and help with his secret arrow stuff.

I'm not the only one who saw "Andrew Diggle" tattooed on deadshot's body right? while it might be just a shout out to "Green Arrow Year One" scribe Andy Diggle, it seemed too much that this episode went out of the way to slip a mention of Diggle's (bodyguard diggle) brother being killed in the line of duty.

double mythology gag? or cool easter egg?
