Laurel grew on me a bit, I might like her one day. Thea trying to get closer to her brother was nice, but comparing her hell with Oliver's hell was a little ridiculous. In one thing she's right though - he needs someone he can open up to. He followed that advice by opening up to Laurel a little and it was actually nice to watch.
Diggle is awesome, he's definitely figuring out what's going on. I think Laurel and possibly Tommy too are sensing something weird as well. Ollie is acting like two different people, there's no way they don't see he's putting on a show. Detective Lance is pissing me off a bit. Focus, man!
Favourite quote of the week - Ollie: "Shouldn't take you very long. I'm shallow". I'm totally in love with Stephen.

it was a good episode. Felt very weird at times but other than that YAY ! AAAANNNNDDD my main question, "HOW THE HECK DID HE GET THAT BOW ON A DESERTED ISLAND" is finally getting an answer ! Man, that detective blew me away ! This actor is good ! I could believe that he's a dad who lost one daughter and doesn't wanna lose another ! But Oliver, honey, is your bodyguard AMAZING or what ! Can't wait for the guy to know about his secret !!! But that mom, if he doesn't kill her, the sister will, that's all I'm sayin !

This is a really good, fun show. Yes it is a comic book brought to TV but the villians are very believable. Oliver is playing the part well, still a big brother watching out for his little sister. The whole rich playboy with unlimited funding is classic, reminds me of the Green Hornet and Batman. When will he find out about his Mom's and her hand in this? How will he handle that?

Once again, another great episode. It ended with something to look forward to next week. I can't wait to see who taught Oliver his skills.

Actually I like this show immensley. Agree that hopefully all the plots are not going after the same person Laurel is taking to court, but if they are on his father's list of who needs to be taken out, it kind of kills two birds with one *arrow*! Never read the comic, don't know who the other characters mentioned are, but from the mansion to the plots, it's a lot like Batman!! Like Diggle a lot, don't trust Tommy though, and not buying Thea's "poor ignored, suffered for 5 years too" act either. I wouldn't be surprised if she's bad and working with her mother to get into Ollies head (love the Declan comment)! And feel Det Lance will become a Commissioner Gordon clone before long, even though he hates Ollie! Great fight scenes and review, Leigh!

Stephen Ammell said there will be episodes where he crosses mulitple names off the list and times he will not cross any names off the list!
I want to know who shot him too,it looks like there was an Arrow and Oliver may have killed him and become the new arrow....

I love this show! I was hooked from the very first scene of the premiere. For me it is rapidly becoming one of my favorite shows.
This show is exciting from start to finish! I do find his Arrow voice a little cheesy too but for me it works!
Spending 1 hour with Stephen Ammell, Colin Donnell and Paul Blackthorne is a nice way to spend time! LOL
I am not familiar with the comic books so this is all new to me so maybe that is one of the reason why I love this show!
I think it is great that Oliver is going to play the party, no care in the world guy so that no one is on to him. Every time I he insults Arrow when he is in the news I laugh!
I want to know who their mom was talking too!
I want it to be Wednesday already!

I think the person who hit him with the arrow was Deathstroke, maybe ? He might of been the one to show Oliver how to fight & shot an arrow so perfectly, bc those arnt skills that you learn without proper training, & plus Ollie had a lot of scars on his body, the kind that you get from a sword or knife, so maybe Deathsroke was on the island with Oliver that's why he mask was there in the first episode. & I so hope the episodes don't follow the pattern of Ollie threatens mob boss, they don't do what he asks, Luaral tries to take them down in court, her dad suspects Arrow when the mobsters call the cops, Arrow takes down mob boss in the last 10 minutes bc that will get very boring very quickly.

I also hope we're not seeing a pattern beginning to develope in terms of episode plots. I do hope Diggle becomes Ollie's Alfred, but as he technically works for Mrs Queen, that would present some problems. Dectective Lance looks too stupid to figure out the Ollie-Arrow connection. Tommy, on the other hand, might have an inkling. I think he might have been faking being passed out in the warehouse in the pilot.

In the flashback at the end, nobody shot him on the island when he was burying his father. I think it meant to tell us that he, the playboy Oliver Queen, died on that day and the Arrow vigilante was born.

Yeah, still don't like the sister. Poor thing, stuck in a mansion, with loads of money, for 5 years with her "quiet" mother. OMG how did she survive? Her comparing her experience with Oliver's, even after she saw his scars. Self centered much!!!

I read somewhere that episode 2 would be more intense than episode 1. I think this episode is not as intense as I expected. It's not bad though. Anyways, it's a good episode. I have to say that it's a bit of a disappointment after an amazing pilot. Still a good episode nonetheless. Love Kelly Hu's appearance. Hope to see her again in the future (since she got away, I'm pretty sure we will). I would love to see more of the island backstory. And how this irresponsible boy turned to be someone he is now. I think Diggle is smart enough to put two and two together. I don't think Detective Lance is not smart but I don't think he suspected Oliver is Arrow. yeah he doesn't like both of them, but for two very different reasons. But I think, Tommy suspected something. I hope Diggle would be Oliver's Alfred :P I also hope this show won't have that pattern. But it's only the second episode. I won't judge just yet. :)

Actually he was shot in the first esp. when he was in the office. He pull out he bullet or held the bullet in bus hand why he lay on the floor. Before he jump out the window.

Good but 2nd episode syndrome. The delivery of some of Amell's lines is bad (pensions, ice cream). I don't like that Arrow has been shot at by a machine gun twice now without any injury, not even a grazing. I hope it doesn't get too formulaic (Lance investigates, Laurel investigates, but Arrow gets results) in the future. Thea is the Declan of this universe.
