Dan and Blair's kiss in 5x17. That kiss transcended the show. It was a perfect, sweet, honest and beautiful moment. The soundtrack, the camera work, the pitch-perfect delivery from Penn and Leighton - the best moment in an otherwise-abysmal season.

season 5 was ok until they brought the real charlie into the picture and until they made ivy and lily to enemies. and until they brought bart bass back.

1. Blair telling Chuck she's pregnant and Chuck crying afterwards. So heartbreaking!
2. The Sleep no more -kiss. But ofcourse the writers managed to almost ruin that by cutting it short.
3. Chuck not taking Blair back after her whiny halfhearted speach about "being scared". I thought she was passed that I don't know 3 SEASONS AGO! The only thing that would have made that scene better is if Chuck would have told her how much he's been hurting the passed year and she would feel at least a bit crappy for her CRAPPY behaviour.

Dan’s spinning Blair was stupid and totally unnecessary, because the whole story between Dan and Blair began in the season 4 as a response of Dan to what Serena did - moved Ben in the Dan’s attic, and then Dan seduced Blair to make Serena jealous . But from some incomprehensible reason the producers refused to fully explain the triangle Serena-Dan-Blair! All those who mourn for Dan and Blair do not have a lot of reasons, because from the start it was doomed to failure! Because in 100 episode, in the wedding of Blair and Louis, Blair told Chuck - I love you every day more and more, if that is a possible! It was unnecessary a sex scene between Serena and Dan, because this scene was supposed to be taken in 1 or 2 season and not in season 5! Sex scene of Serena and Dan, which does not have any sense in that time, and that fans wait for that from end of season 2, because right after comes the disastrous feud between Serena and Dan. This is completely stupid and without any sense!

Season 5 was the worst from the first issue of the series! The producers have managed to kill all the characters, and everything that was connected major characters from season 1 was completely destroyed! Dan was from a good guy transform to complete villain. Serena took a walk through the season 5, and events related to the character of Serena had no meaning, except in 100 episode. Blair’s character was completely ruined with stupid and unnecessary story of Blair and Louis, and Dan and Blair. Nate, as usual, there was no reason from him to be there. The only bright spot was the character of Chuck, which has become a better man, but this transformation began back in season 2. The story of Dan and Blair has been a complete failure, designed to allow the conflict between Serena and Blair at the end of the season. -The first half of gossip girl is always good :3
-I liked the ivy/Charlie story until she got discovered and Lola came into the picture
-Serena's fashion yeah and ivy's too :3 at the start

1. Chuck and Blair's kiss in the candy room at Sleep No More. The kiss was cut short, but Chuck, that is not how you kiss someone to let them go.
2. Blair drinking vodka in Darota's apartment, talking about her first "encounter" with Dan.
3. Serena's wedding shower toast to Blair. So sweet.
4. Chuck's apology to Blair. His series of apologies.
5. The kiss between Dan and Blair at the cardiac ball.
All that said, Season 5 was a spectacular disappointment. Hope Season 6 is amazing, as amazing as the first.

all of these scenes are sad but they were well done.
the rest of season 5 SUCKED SO BADLY. I don't even want to think about it. It was the worst tv I've ever sat through. So miserable and ridiculous and out of character and awful. Ugh I'm done.

honestly i'm so happy the safran seasons are done. season 5 was one of my least favorites, not enough chair. i hope this next season gives gossip girl the proper send off that it deserves.

By the way my favorite moments were Chuck crying in bed with monkey and even though Ive always been a chair fan Dan giving Blair her last princess moment on the steps of the met is my second favorite moment dont hate lol

Blair making a pact with God was the only way Safran could seperate Blair and Chuck after after having them get together in the midseason finale and then turning Louis into a villan to end that relationship and then instead of putting Blair back with Chuck he had her pursue Dan going as far as having her say that chuck doesnt have my heart anymore you do five or six episodes after her declaration of love to Chuck was way to rushed it felt forced and out of character then recreating Blair and Chuck moments for Blair to share with Dan was insulting to the fans if done correctly dair wouldnt have been so polarizing

Season 5 was very very boring. I only liked a few episodes.
-Serena's fashion was awesome.!
-I didn't really love Blair's fashion this season
-Serena was very annoying. She turned on her sister and everyone else, they had no clue where to take her this season.
-Dair was cute until they became a couple.
-Lily.....NO WORDS.
-I loved Georgina in season 1 she was a badass. Now she's kind of a crazy badass.
-I'm proud of Nate, he's finally more than someone's boyfriend or crush.
-Diana was awesome at first.
-I wish that would've gotten Isobel to be one of the bridesmaids, so disappointing.

I loved the idea of Dair, but when it became a reality it sucked so badly! Also princess drama!(from her hair in her wedding day U could see it: all sucked, ruined, done!) Lola made me nerveous, speak so rapidly like on crack! I'd start to like Ivy then realise she wasn't who she claimed to be and her schemes were stupid. All this season went around money! I know they're uppereastsiders, but this all show pretend to go deeper than that. Why they bring back Louis from Paris and his mom/sister/priest? It was a waste of budget,it would be more useful to develop Serena-Dan-Blair-Chuck square!!!and don't make start with Non-dead Bart! Was a shit! Man you abandoned your only son and wife, an empire for coming back later when all is solved?! liked the G comeback, the only thing I can remember and I can save. Although I loved Dair, this season sucked big time. Even Dair didn't fix it for me. But, if I had to choose, I liked Dan and Blair at the airport, cause we saw some classic Blair in that ep, and we needed that. Also, bc Dan finally grew a pair and told her she can't treat him like he's a nobody. And she finally admitted that she appreciates him.

Since that heinous, dumbfounded, atrocious and the mother of all fuckups for a season finale?
Uhhm...... let's think, NONE whatsoever!
And this should be the catch phrase when they will try and sell all the 6 seasons on DVD: "Gossip Girl - We are leaving plot holes the size of North America and a dumbfounded mind behind, we shit you not! Buy the complete series for only 99.99"
Season 5 was the worst season.I, as a fan, really felt insulted.There was no coherence and the characer i used to love (blair) was so OOC that i an't stand her character anymore.Safran ruined her,she is NOT credible anymore.

For me it was the end of The Princess Dowry which gave me fleeting hope. However it didn't last so c'est la vie.....
