Baily was a trip! Loving how they've been showing different parts to her character. I want them to not forget the edgy "Nazi" that we love from S1 on and bring her out every now and then but, do like the different sides to her. The silliness and fun she was having in that OR... hilarious! Let's be real. She knows about the chief and Catherine. She knows about Jackson and April. They don't know about each other... they do but then they really don't.. Baily is in the middle aware of it all and can feel and see the tension coming from every angle... if I were her... I would laugh it up too! She was simply basking in the awkwardness of it all...
As the eps progress, I feel more and more confident that AZ is not as ignorant of what happened as I thought she was. I kept thinking that she was behaving rather dumb by being angry and straight up mean that her leg was amputated. I mean, she's a surgeon with access to her medical file. I'm pretty sure she would have asked to see what measures

I am loving the season so far! I felt a bit bored mid S8 but from the end of the last season up to now, I'm feeling the drama, tension and just more drawn to the show as I have been since S5. I'm loving the stories and just how everyone can be multidimensional...
Loved how Christina is showing signs of the original. In the last two seasons we saw scraps of her original wit and now, she is getting her mojo back. I always loved her with Owen but damn! Now I don't want her near him. They looked so meant to be front the start but the as his character progressed, things got so jacked up. I hate her being away but love that she is finding and being herself again.
I loved MerDer! They have come soooo far! Perfect convo with Owen and the aftermath... shows how much they have grown together. Same old loving couple... just more evolved...

Last thing, I know there's a Mer/Christina episode that Shonda says will have "meredith coming to terms with the fact that her sister's dead in a major way", BUT damn they have barely mentioned Lexie's death and gave Mark the best send off possible. Even George gets a mention here and there! You can tell who Shonda's favorites are just by the writing and I definitely don't think that's fair. Lexie was a major part of the series, give her some love!
such a bitch and I hate it! I miss our wheelie wearing, bubbly, and optimistic Peds Surgeon. I hope she's making strides to come back. And I wish they would focus on Callie a bit more. I feel like they're not getting too deep into anybody's story like they used to do and the storytelling has just gotten a bit lazy. I miss the original badasses!
Speaking of badasses, what have they done to Bailey?!?!!? I get it, she's happy now, but she was happy before her first marriage went sour and wasn't this soft and silly. I miss the Nazi and this new thing they're trying to do. Stop ruining one of TV's most beloved characters!
One last thing....April and Jackson? *rolls eyes* NEXT!
Phew, okay I'm done with my rant. I love this show but it's just not the same for me because actors seem bored with their characters. There is no new spark to them anymore like there once was and rather than drag something out for a long time with no retribution, it might be time for an ending. =( Just my
I hate to say it, but I think it might be time for Grey's to say goodbye in another season or too. I can't let go either but it has lost its steam tremendously, ever since season 5 with the Izzie/Denny thing. I love these doctors but end it before it gets a little ridiculously and the actors come to resent it (although it already seems like Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey are over it already from some of their previous interviews). In terms of this episode, I liked the whole scene between Jackson and the Chief; I thought it was entertaining. Also, the scenes between Feeny and Christina were AWESOME. I love that he's kind of her new person now at Mayo, and it's a whole new dynamic. It was nice to see her smile like that -- she doesn't even do that with Meredith! But everything else? Ugh...
Other notes:
Christina's new sex friend: I kind of want to punch him right between the eyes. I love the way she just deaded him at the end of the episode! Classic Christina.

This was a pretty good episode. I knew right away it was Ethan Embry...I am a fan from Empire Records and Can't Hardly Wait. I can understand that Arizona is mad but she is being a beyotch you would think that she was the only one in the accident. I am glad that Alex talked sense into her. I am likely lovey Mer and Der and the talk Owen had with him was perfect.

Arizona is scaring her (the awkward sitting on the couch) Callie has her guard up she's a soldier by swallowing it, many would have done other things but Callie loving her too much she's swallowing her tongue and taking it not to mention Arizona "Doesn't want help from any one" and as for Sofia.. Her and Arizona have a baby monitor Callie can hear her plus Arizona has crutches I think it's about time she at least learn how to take care of Sofia in her condition it's not impossible my Mom did it she can do it she would never hurt Sofia and there is nothing wrong with her hands plus Sofia is big enough to walk so Arizona doesn't have to pick her up, and if Arizona want's Callie she can Call her or use the crutches (Even if she falls that's what there used for so you won't fall) Plus once again Arizona Keep Pushing Callie Away And Won't Let Her Help Her or Touch Her, but anyway everything should change now a little since Arizona accepted her condition and let Callie in

than anyone else on the set, shit even Jessica said being a married women and all to a man said.. "She feels really comfortable doing love scenes with Sara But with a man it would feel weird.and 3- Callie is being the perfect wife, put yourself in Callie's shoes.. you have the love of your life yelling at you the moment she see's you hell the moment you breathe loud she's yelling at you Arizona has a disorder "PTSD" that's making her do this she see's Callie as the bad guy (In her mind) mixed with her leg being gone and the promise broken go look it up and learn something) that's what it does and Callie doesn't understand that, Staying at Mark's doesn't mean she's giving up or "Being a bad wife" she's getting away from the situation the Disorder not the Marriage Callie was basically cursed at by Arizona in front of the PT "Freaking aka Fucking", that's embarrassing and hurtful and not to mention the Death Stare she got from Arizona in 9x03, Callie is getting hurt emotionally and Arizo

let me get something out.... 1- Where the hell did you guy's see the sexual tension between Callie and Owen there were NONE do you guy's even know what Sexual Tension is because if that's your definition get a dictionary really lol, 2-Sara knows how to play gay to well for a straight women,Her scenes with Jessica was more Question of her own sexuality than her scenes with Eric believe it or not, it's called (Choreography)that's why you "think" her scenes looked more real not to mention Jessica was pregnant twice actually for 2 seasons so couldn't do much plus being Mcsteamy/Whore of the hospital the scenes had to be you know Steamy that's how it was with Teddy also and every other girl Mark sleep with ,and for her scenes with Jessica was from chemistry on and off set they actually talk about there scenes and hang out as friends hell Jessica was there at Sara's wedding yes there that close so the "ass grabbing, kissing etc..was her having chemistry with Jess more than anyone else on th

@sookie00 - if you love "this old doctor" - not sure if you know of the old 80's tv show, St. Elsewhere. If you can rent/buy the dvd of the show - you won't be sorry. Wm. Daniels has somewhat "reprised" his character, Dr. Mark Craig. I love Cristina's & Dr. Thomas's scenes. I just read that Kevin McKidd said HE cast Wm. Daniels in the "boards" episode last season & Wm. Daniels did such a great job that the writers have written him in for S9. That's all he said. I took that to mean the entire season. I don't want to mislead anyone with this info in case he isn't in the entire season.

@RL : In episode 9x02, Alex tells Callie that Arizona is dying. Then, after Callie's call, we could see Alex picking up a scalpel and make the first cut on Arizona's leg.

I didn't like the case this week. It was dump and the jokes were forced.
Cristina is showing a warm side to her. Her character is evolving nicely and I love the empathy she has for Dr. Thomas. He's a keeper. The scene in the bar ordering the Old Fashions was hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing.
Getting tired of the Avery/April arc. Grow up. Love the Richard/Catherine duo.

Richard isn't doing anything wrong, his wife is no longer herself, she doesn't know who he is and she has her own bf, so...
And I am more and more convinced Dr Thomas is gonne die some time soon, leaving Cristina alone and maybe then she'll come back to Seattle ?

Great episode ! First of all, I'm so happy we finally got to see PATIENTS, god I had missed that kind of case and scenes ! I enjoyed so many great pairings in this episode : Mer/Der's love, Richard/Catherine (she should indeed be a regular, I love her !) Arizona and the prosthesis... but my favorite one was of course Cristina/Dr Thomas (I really love this old doctor !).
And how great it was to see Arizona standing up, I enjoyed that moment so much !
To react to some others comments, I really don't agree about the sexual vibes between Callie and Owen, seriously ?!? This was a friendly convo about two people whose life is a complete mess but nothing more. I don't think either that Callie is a bad wife, she's quite strong to stay through all of Arizona's anger and I think she doesn't want to make it worse, she's giving space to Arizona who badly needs it obviously. Sometimes you have to let things cool down.

Part II - Now Owen's cheating should not ever be an issue. To accuse Owen of doing what Cristina is silly. They are still legally married. I don't buy "well they are separated." I just don't buy it - continues to hurt everyone involved. Maintain ones' integrity by keeping ones' pants pulled up - just sayin' ...

Best storyline that I see so many are saying here - Dr. Thomas & Cristina - simply THE BEST!!!! Old school colliding with new & it is working great on so many levels. He is teaching her things that she would not have known otherwise & I am not just talking surgery - this is a fabulous friendship. When he became flustered & ordered that Old Fashioned & she did too it was absolutely hilarious!!! I love how she is smiling, laughing, joking around & lightening up. Never before have we seen her this way. He was GREAT as Dr. Mark Craig & now as Dr. Thomas. Wm. Daniels has reprised his role as a cardio surgeon but now with life experiences under his belt. Experience is where old school comes in at. I also hope that when Cristina goes back to Seattle she takes Dr. Thomas with her. I hope he doesn't up & die - maybe she will be fired because she may no longer put out to Dr. Parker. I didn't care at all for her having sex with Dr. Parker - ick! Now Owen'

Christina rarely shows emotions and rarely shows she cares so I really loved that she showed she cared by trying to get thomas (feeny) to do some modern surgeries and when he was having trouble she gave him some advice. That was my favorite part of the episode. Christina is human after all, she does care.
