Loved it!!
i agree for not settling because no amount of money can give back the people they lost.. and they want to make sure it doesnt happen to anyone else.
tears were shed indeed.

Very boring episode. Way, way too much time wasted on incompetent April and bitchy Callie, can't stand either of them and they chewed up most of the show.
I love Cristina, but she's better off at Mayo. Love her and the older guy. I love Alex, but hate the cry baby intern he's stuck with. He's now almost running Peds and all we hear is the new intern babbling about how smart she is? Just don't care. When, when, when will Alex ever get a story? Bigger question, will this show ever feel like Grey's again this season? So far - no.

I don't understand why they didn't settle. Whether they get the money or not has no bearing on the investigation. Nothing in the terms indicated that a hush-hush was swapped for cash. The terms just "limited" their payout to the table offer only, if they took it. However, script-wise, the money would have been life-changing. We'd be asking why they were still working if they didn't need the money. Why they didn't start up their own hospitals and research labs. So I knew from that vantage point that they would decline.

This was a fun episode after two weeks of non-stop crying sessions. Still couldn't help but tearing up when the flashback to Lexie and Mark were shown( Derek inspecting the wreckage was disturbing and haunting to watch). Cristina needs to come back to Seattle Grace ASAP. Also could we dial down on Kepner/Avery ..don't really care about them. April failed her boards. Shouldn't she be preparing to retake the test??
P.S: I read somewhere that Meredith will finally deal with Lexie's death in the 5th episode... is that true??
Please don't say that, Cris and her new boss ! No WAY !! It did cross my mind but my ship is Owentina !

LOVE kepner/avery together. Maybe it's just me but I find Arizona mean just not tolerable. She's so annoying and such a witch I find I can't muster an ounce of sympathy for her.

Very good episode. Glasses got misty when Callie broke down in the shower. I do think that they should have settled with the caveat that the airline does what is needed to make sure that it never happens again or even set up something in Mark's and Lexie's name. Callie will need the money for Arizona.
Although Mark would have left all his assets to Sofia so she would not need to worry about money for her.
I loved the McHouse but I really feel that Shonda should have done something for the house. It was a special part of their relationship so it should have gotten more coverage.
I saw the promo for next week and it looks like Christina is sleeping with her chief... Its ridic! I hope that ends quick. She loves Owen still.

Callie and Arizona were incredible in the shower scene. That was such an intense, heartbreaking moment. I love these two together. I am so glad the writers are giving us what we want!!
I would really love to see Owen and Yang work it out. I loved their little conversations but it, too, was a bit heartbreaking when she put an end to it. I hope next weeks preview is misleading. I do not want to see her with someone at the new hospital.
I love this whole Avery/Kepner relationship though.

Wow! Just Wow! The scenes between Arizona and Callie were amazing! I just could not stop watching them! Callie letting Arizona vent and then in that final scene in the shower, to see Callie break down and tell Arizona it was her life now too, was just heart wrenching! It seemed to get through to Arizona? Although seeing the promo's for next week, I'm not so sure about that? Callie scene with the young intern was funny too! Sara and Jessica rocked Grey's tonight!

Arizona is beyond mean, she took too far, I get it and I would've felt the same but enough is enough, now I'm worrying for Callie who by the way was a ticking bomb and detonated when she put Arizona is the shower.
I get that they're trying to add a bit of comedy but wasn't the time to do it, it ruins all the drama and I can't fully enjoy the episodes.
P.S. I still hate Shonda.

@rose, I knew that I saw his face before, so it was from the boards.
On other matters, this was an amazing episode and I'm gonna go now and look for the songs. Christina and Owen talking over the phone and sometimes sitting there silently was beyond sweet and heartfelt.
They did right by not settling, I wouldn't either, the company that manufactured that plane probably made a mistake which crippled the lives of the ones that survived the crash and they must pay by all means. I watched tons of investigative documentaries for airplane crashes and you have no idea to what extent can people's lives be ruined. Even if you survive a plane crash you never recover, a part of you will always stay dead, you will feel guilty that you survived and other didn't. Derek did the right thing and while he visited the remains of that planes I was crawling out of my skin, I couldn't sit normally on my chair.

Rose I completely agree with you. I love Jackson and April together, their relationship feels genuine and adds depth to their characters. I feel like a great love story is developing here. I also like that we get to see another side of Arizona. She used to be all bubbly and happy, now she seems less perfect, more human.

Sorry, but April is even more annoying now than she was before. All the Jesus/virgin talk is awful. And how is April honest and a girl with principles? First she wants to pretend she and Jackson never hooked up so she's not honest and then she goes around pretending like she's virgin and praying to re-virginize herself (WTF) when she's had sex multiple times now and then has sex again so no principles there either! I wish April had stayed on the pig farm. She's insufferable along with Jackson who is so bland. I hope we see a lot less of them - together or apart.

I really liked this episode. I especially liked the phone calls between Christina and Owen; despite the issues they have, I really feel those two were made for eachother, and I hope they find their way back. I always liked Kepner, even when she was annoying; her relationship with jackson is deep, they are the best of friends.. there is love between them that the haven't allowed themselves to see yet. I loved the Calzona scene as well... Arizona is fantastic all mean, especially when we were introduced to her as this overly bubbly personality that borderlined cheese. Dr. Feeny and Christina were great too; they seemed to genuinely dislike eachother during the boards, and here they are developing this respect for one another, doctors generations apart. Great episode
