Supernatural Review: Heads Will Roll Comments (Page 2)

I liked this episode - though I really can't wait until they work through some of these resentment issues. I'm really not digging Dean this season. Sam did what they agreed too and had basically the same amount of "normal life" time that Dean did when Sam was gone. And yet Dean is treating Benny the vampire as more of a brother than Sam. It irks me to no end. I just want them to get into a fight or something and have it out. Clear the air. Hopefully that'll be what happens next week.

My second wish/hope would be that we find out something fishy was going on in Sam flashbacks. There's gotta be something more than a romance - wasn't there somebody creepy staring at their house during the pilot? The flashbacks do seem to have a rosy hued look to them which could indicate something right? There's nothing rosy in supernatural.

Give Sam a break. Dean had one. Sam deserved some off time.

I'm having the same hard time with Sam's flashbacks as you, Sean. They do seem tame, and they do seem unnatural on a show about the supernatural. I feel like I'm watching a chick flick instead of Supernatural. And Amelia is just not growing on me.

What really worries me is this is a season-long arc. We will be seeing this Sam and Amelia story all season, so I hope it doesn't stay lame and sappy, but I just don't see where else it can go, since the showrunner told us there is nothing supernatural going on there.

The one thing I don't understand about Sam and Amelia is him acting like and I believe saying that this was his first time at a normal life. He had a normal life with Jessica. I can't believe in the two years he was with her he didn't have things like a birthday cake. It is making the whole story line with Amelia seem off too me.

Ahhhhhh...it's back! This felt like Supernatural I know and love. I love the Purgatory flashbacks, but am less interested in Sam's flashbacks, although these were a tad better than his previous flashbacks. They are dull in comparison to Dean's. I'm not sure where they are going with the whole Dean is mad that Sam quit hunting. It's my impression he was drifting around until he met Amelia and fell in love with her. It's familiar territory and feels a bit contrived, so I hope they resolve it quickly.

Richard, you'll probably never see this but CW shows are now on Hulu so you can watch Supernatural when they put it up there at hulu.com

I hope they kill off Amelia. Her character just annoys me.
As for Sam and Dean, I'm not sure why they're going at each other about Sam's year off. If I recall, Dean took a year off when Sam went to hell to live with Ben and Lisa, while also quitting hunting. Just seems like the same old recycled storytelling.
In regards to Benny, I see another recycled storyline where Dean came back from hell and Sam was with Ruby behind his back. I'm loving this new season, but recycling old stories with a different character just seems redundant to me.

It was a good episode and I really enjoyed it except for the Sam flashbacks. I see zero chemistry with Amelia. I was trying not to fall asleep from boredom watching those two. As bad as Ruby was back in the day at least the two of them had chemistry.

I liked this episode, but despise how Dean is treating Sam. Dean has treated surrogate brothers better than he treats Sam. ANd he wants Sam to feel bad for living a normal life while Dean was in Purgatory. Truth be told, how was Sam supposed to know that? Nobody knew that killing Dick would throweveryone into Purgatory. So Sam gave up the family business? Guess what? There was no family. the business had gotten family and pseudo family killed. I don't blame the guy. But Dean's holier than thou attitude is making me want to send the guy to purgatory permanantly. Last thought He forgave Cass for releasing the Leviathans that led to Bobby getting killed? But he cannot forgive Sam?

So happy with tonight's episode. I do hope that Sams flashbacks start moving somewhere soon; they are not convincing me that this "normal" life was worth not even answering his phone! Love love love Deans flashbacks..... Even the leviathan were cool tonight.

Sounds like it was a good one. Too bad I missed it. I eagerly turned on the tv to watch it only to find ABC programming on the CW channel. Or what was the CW channel. My towns cable provider must have removed the CW channel. So now I have TWO ABC channels showing the SAME programs at the SAME time on the SAME nights. Very angry because there is no telling how long it will be before I will be able to see re-runs of this seasons ep's,,,if ever.
