I absolutky love Ian, He is a fantastic actor and a wonderfull, beautifull Man.. Damon is the best Character on TV ever, but the reason for that is the great acting Skill of ian Somerhalder.

1st of all I want to say is that I love this photo it's so great, 2nd of all I feel really sorry for Damon, I knew that he will be sad and will miss Alaric but I never thought that he will be affected that much specially that he was the one who came up with a plan to kill him (as a mercy killing) but after all he was his only friend, only one he trusted after Elena and the only person that he referred to him as a brother so loosing him would be really depressing.
I'm so excited to see what's coming up all along this season.
About Ian Somerhalder: I said it once and I'll say it again Ian Somerhalder is the symbol of great talent, soul and heart. He's an inspiration for me and for many others. Wish him all happiness and success. :)

@BL: Nope, Ian wants to bring in the bullies themselves to mingle with these animals and develop a compassion for others.

Hi, commentary on the writing in the article... in the 4th paragraph from the bottom the first sentence reads, "'It's all about compassion,' Somerhalder says of his vision to combine troubled animals with young bullies."
I think it's supposed to read "victims of young bullies" or something of the sort...?
I love the photo and I think that it is cute that Ian misses Matt!
I also totally agree with what he said about Damon:
He's missing his best bro, but he's also telling those around him: 'I tried so hard to make you guys see my point of view. And now what's happened? Alaric is dead. Elena is dead.' Damon was right. And now he's saying: 'This is who I am. I tried to play nice and know what? It didn't work.'"
I never looked at it that way and not that I am I like Damon even more now!
Damon: She's strong and crafty and you'll die. Elena: At least I'll die trying.
