Oh, man! Am I the only who think this episode is kinda bad? The new hunter isn't really that interesting. The sex scenes in the first few minutes aren't really necessary. Elena going to Damon to help? Yeah, I think her 'stupidity' and 'naive' were heightened as well.
@sarah: I agree. Give the triangle a rest! I'm tired to hear Damon pining or Elena giving glances to Damon or Stefan acted kinda jealous. Julie Plec, stop servicing those fan girls and give us some vamp action!

The most beautiful, sad, powerful thing was the ending scene. Damon at the grave of Alaric.

I lOVED the ending with Alaric...OMG I really miss him and his friendship with Damon. That was such a touching scene. I was hoping Jeremy would happen along and tell Damon Alaric was right there next to him. FANTASTIC. Great show!!! I want Matt Davis back on the show...please Julie Plec ..make it happen.

Getting tired of the show catering to Delena fans. Just to let the show know, some of us actually love to watch TVD's because we want to see a show about vampires. Not a show about a pathetic guy who chases his brothers girlfriend.Before the usual rant from the Delenas no I'm not Stelena I'm just tired of this show.

BUT, I do not want the brothers to be her mentor. I'd rather have Caroline do it. Honestly that girl grew up soooo much and became that awesome character, sure Stefan helped her, but DAMN she had her share of BS. I think Elena should think about that ! Look at how she handled her with that April girl. Go on Car !
And yes, Bonnie's scene was very touching. Love that she's not doing magic. But Stefan and her have always had thsi strange relationship. Liked Liked Liked !!!

Great, episode 2 is finished and I'm in tears ! Oh Alaric, we miss u too... I knew tha seat meant something.. Damon... Well That episode was very nice ! But Please, let Elena suck some veins, go crazy, enough of the sweet Elena, the won't turn bad Elena ! Though, I too, thought of her being a doppleganger, there would be things going differently than for "normal" vamps. Oh and nice touch with the "feed from me" reference from True Blood !!! I'm sure it's the same.
That new Vamp Hunter is PISSING ME OFF !!!! WTF entering people's house and shoot at 'em ! I hope they rip his head off ! Jer, honey, what the heck was it that you saw...tattoo from the underworld/Other Side maybe?
Nice move at the funeral, now THAT was some action. The blood, the vamps on hold, wow ! And Matt, I'm proud of you, offering your vein in such a fashionable manner lol !

at least he's not serving drinks at the grill anymore hahaa but who is? and the last scenes were so amazing.. the scene where everyone let's go of someone or something and the grave scene.. God i miss ALaric..

I loved this episode!!! It had everything that i love about this show,loved the scenes in the woods between Elena and Stefan,the scene in the bathroom between Damon and Elena...so hot and sexy...who else thought he totally wanted to take her clothes off and nail her. Hahaha... Also Caroline and Taylor..God this two,sexy adorable,sweet.. Loved Taylor and Caroline saving Elena from making a huge mistake and also i hate Connor..so terrible what's his probleml exactly ? I hope he doesn't stay too long.. he annoys me .. Damon.. ah damon so snarky and sarcastic ..awesome ! I loved how he was smart enough not to shake hands with Connor,how great was though that Elena called him for help and not Stefan? Bonnie was not annoying.. actually it was heartbreaking seeing her cry,loved the ending scene with everyone dealing with their grief and how good of an actress is Nina Dobrev? She makeme feel Elenas pain over the fact that she is a vampire nad everything is \so different Mat..at least he's no
Oh I also like the part when Stefan and Jeremy said Alaric's name, they look at Damon. They know Damon is grieving but too egoistic to admit it to everyone. They've become a family. They have this unspoken understanding between them. Also when Stefan went to see Bonnie and he saw Bonnie's sadness, his first instinct was to go in to comfort her although he has not been invited in but he sort of forgot about that for a second. I too don't like Stefan's reaction at the end but I can try to understand. At least Ripper Stefan is gone for good now. At least I hope. I prefer this Stefan to be honest. I can see the difference between Season 1 Stefan and the current Stefan, although it's minor to some or maybe no difference at all to some. But I see it. Also, Tyler being a 'good' team mate. He knew he was the only one that can take the shot and won't die. Tyler has come a long way too :) I love this show so much!

I hate this Connor guy already and I hope he meets a very gruesome end soon. Julie Plec has a nasty habbit of killing the good people and letting the real a-hole douches lives. I did like how they did the whole lantern thing, it was childish, it was a good thing to do. They needed to grieve the deaths. They've never had time because of as soon as someone died they had other things to worry about so this was a good thing.
I'm excited for whats to come and hope that things get better. Maybe the evil that will come is the Kitsune. That will be interesting.

It was a very good episode I've been watching the series from the beginning and there isn't an episode that I don't like
I like how Caroline helped Elena and I love how Elena drank from Damon and to see how that will connect them even more considering that it was Damon's blood who turned Elena but now we have a new vampire hunter and also why is everyone blaming Damon on the exposion that's killed the town council ppl when it was the pastor who did it and l have a feeling something major is going to happen between Elena an Damon because they have intense chemistry and now to go off subject what does BAMF stand for

I am struggling with Stefan's behavior towards Elena in this episode. Not his behavior towards Damon!! To begin with Elena did try to tell him that she was struggling with the animal blood. In fact she said it "made her sick" in the champagne scene but instead of actually listening to her he assumed what he wanted and she didn't want to push it. That is what pushed her to seek out Damon. 1st she knew he wouldn't judge 2nd that he would listen 3rd Damon has been her go to person for months so i'm sure that it is what feels natural for her right now. What bother's me is the almost self-righteous way that he acts as if she should forget everything and go back to the way things were. I got no sense of guilt or penitence for all the lies and mistreatment that he has dished out but he appears to feel justified in making her feel guilty. Finally I question his motivations in regards to Elena's diet I think that he needs her to be like him more than he is thinking about what is best for her an

Bravo TVD!! Really good ep. one of the best after SO long! Brought back the TVD spark that we've been wanting to see. PLEASE keep this up!! I love Damon not letting anyone sit at Alaric's "seat". the ending was perfect. I did not expect that (I haven't been watching promos & spoilers). I love that in the end, Caroline guided Elena. Since last season, I've always thought Caroline would be the perfect person to guide Elena through this transition. Damon and Stefan have conflict of interest. They're out of question. I love how Jeremy has grown as a person. He doesn't like what his sister has become but he accepted it & did not act out like i assume he would if he were S1 Jeremy. With all the drama, it's amazing he has grown to a fine young man. Connor's appearance speaks for itself. I'm still curious why Elena is not accepting the blood & What does it mean when Elena drank Damon's blood? I hope they will still address this Qs

It was kind of a better episode, but I don't get where the head with Stefan. I mean last season he was drinking HB and Damon said he wanted to help him, but this sl stopped with the pure idea of helping Stefan, but we saw Stefan drinking HB...so I have a hard time to believe this is the Stefan from season 3....I mean is he back on AB? This makes no sense to me where he is standing what he is doing. It only feels like they wanted to create as much drama as possible and having two different philosphies to have Elena in between...ughhh..I like that they take their time and it is not rushed like before, but it would be nice to follow what a character learned before...to me this is season 1 Stefan...
But I kind of liked the new hunter. He feels fresh, he is not too fast and rushed. But I missed Klaus, Klefan and darker Stefan....

This was good storytelling from the beginning to the end. Love every second of this ep including boring Stefan. And i totally agree with Matt. For the first time the triangle felt natural. The feeding scene was not personal it was supersexual. But that wasn`t what caught me off guard. It was the stunning connection Elena now had with both brothers. On the one side you`ve got her human connection to Stefan. The one all teenage girls dream about. He`s the white knight, handsome and pure. On the other she coudn`t hide any longer the different connection to Damon. It´s the connections all older folks know about. When you are not afraid of sharing your own dark sides with somebody and that makes you feel "soulmate" with somebody..Great work, Julie..Love dark Connor..It was a really strong hour of television

One of my favourite episodes. Everything felt so fresh. And not to diminish the importance of all the scenes, especially the Alaric one, but is it just me or is Damon kind of experiencing a renaissance of badass, seductive, crazy amazeballs? And are his eyes looking different? Maybe it's just that the hiatus was so long, or maybe it's Elena's transition or something, but everything does seem heightened this season. If Elena felt even a scintilla of attraction to Damon as a human, I don't know how she wouldn't feel a bajillion times more attracted to him now.

n i didn't think damon deserved that punch from stefan. i think he needs to get over his insecurities and realise that elena is going to always pin them two together, it runs in her genes to get kicks out of it (original doopleganger with klaus n elijah -side note bring elijah back anytime soon kfanx) and ofc the ever mesmerising katerina and teh brothers a century or 2 ago.
Overall this to me is the season opening and will see a b+ (would have been c+ but damonric always gets me)
P.S. as you can tell i really am a big fan of katerina and alaric so cough cough writers BRING HER BACK!! i also want to know more on the original doopleganger, i felt we were lured into thinking we were going to see how she was portrayed and why esther felt so threatened.....
