by at . Comments

Charlie Sheen may be gone, but controversy has returned to Two and a Half Men.

In a wide-ranging interview with in support of Forerunner Chronicles, the actor blasts the sitcom on which he stars, pleading with viewers to actually turn the channel on Thursday nights.

“If you watch Two and a Half Men, please stop watching Two and a Half Men,” he says in the following testimonial. “I’m on Two and a Half Men, and I don’t want to be on it. Please stop watching it, and filling your head with filth... people say it’s just entertainment. Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you’ll have a decision to make when it comes to television, especially with what you watch.”

Wow. Watch the full interview now as we await Chuck Lorre's response:

You need to hear what he is saying. It's coming from within. We all are a product of our environment, and sometimes that isn't good. To hear God speak to you, is an amazing thing. No, God doesn't actually speak audibly but he talks to our inner man. All of us..you can choose to listen or to be like the majority of the Rolf today. Following the easy road. Following God is a tough road to hoe. Leave Angus alone and let him make his own decisions. We have all made mistakes and choices. Let him make his.

I agree as well. The show is rubbish. I vouch Jared Padalecki's comment on the matter: "#AngusTJones -if you BELIEVE what you said, put ur money where ur mouth is and donate ur "filthy" millions to charity. Try @StJude (original at https://twitter.com/jarpad)

While I agree with him about the show, he is being an incredible hypocrite. He should quit and donate all of his considerable earnings from it (he was making around $300K an episode as of 3 years ago).

Leah...the fact is, he is entitled to his beliefs... but action speaks louder than words. It's time to sh*t or get off the pot.

There are two possible reasons this kid has gone off his rocker: 1. A girl
2. Christian Fundamentalism Either way, ce'st la vie! Let him go.

@lillyslifestyle bwahhhhhhhhhhhhhh .......... yeah, he has a contract, but they are made to be broken.... that's what his highly paid attorney is for. If he REALLY wanted out, he could get out(but he is loving the millions he's making too much) and I hope he does! Again, WHO NEEDS THE INGRATE!!!!!!!!!!

I don't watch this show but I do think this is one VERY UNGRATEFUL person. He claims he doesn't want to be on it anymore......well, get the hell out!!!! Who needs you?!?! You've made your millions off this show(and still will because it's in syndication) and now you want to bite the hand that feeds you..... I, too, hope they fire his ass, he'd deserve it. Nobody gives a rat's ass about your new found religious beliefs...........

This show has always been and remains terrible. It always has catered to the lowest common denominator. Why this is still on the air and quality shows like Community, 30 Rock, Parks and Rec and Happy Endings constantly struggle makes me question everybody's intelligence.

I think this young man is very brave. TAAHM really got borrowing and it has always been about sex, sex, sex. It got old, stereotypical, boring, dull and just aint cutting it.Angus has the speech of freedom. He has a contract where it forces him to stay on the show (possibly, this is just my guessing) so he may not be able to voice all this to the creator. He is getting 350,000 per episode but is willing to jeopardize all that for the viewer's sake. I used to love the show, now I mostly cringe at it. And I know the show is not making me smarter or laughing, it is just stupid.

for the record thats what the show has been based on since it first aired charlie sheen sleeping with women. So thats nothing new, but i can see why he may not want to do the show, but if he felt like he feels then hes old enough to go and talk to the creater of the show. And I do agree that yes he has freedom to say what he wants. but biting the hand that feeds you? that was able to pay for the car he has the apartment he has. if he feels that he can only pick one then he should give the money back or stop taking it now that he thinks the show is worthless.

Alan: Pudding Girls?
Charlie: Trust me.
Alan: Oh ... ew.

Lyndsey: Oh, God. You saw "Cinnamon's Buns?"
Charlie: Not all the way through. Though I'm very familiar with the bakery shop scene in the middle. You know, with the frosting gun?
