    I think that Chuck and Blair waiting till they achieve their goals makes sense. Chuck doesn't want to be Mr. Blair Waldorf and Blair doesn't want to be Chuck Basses girlfriend it has been one of the main obstacles they've faced so them waiting till their ready makes sense for the characters it's actually refreshing to see their writers remembering what came between them before

    Some people's comments are so lulz worthy. Thanks for the laughs. Humpty hit of the night ...his comment about missionary...um she was all up in the mission with Chuck.

    DERENA ARE BACK BITCHES!!!!

    But nothing was more disappointing than a hint of Derena getting back together - NO, just NO! Its sick and disgusting because if in s1 they were the golden couple and there was so much love between them - after the way Dan has treated Serena over the years I do not want to see them together.

    Slightly better episode - but still very very average. Even s3 was better at their episodes. The only thing tha was good was the quick flashback to the s1 cotillion and ....yeah..that served as the reminder of how shitty the show has become.

    Dan might have been an ass al season long but he did not deserve to hear those words from Blair - every scene with her and Chuck just porved how messed up they are - with the whole we are waiting till we both achieve our goals and then we can live happily ever after - when you love someone that is all you need. I still dont get what Chuck wants from Bart, but whatever it is it is not worth spending so much time on and making Blair wait. At this point this whole Chair situation is just a joke and I wish we could see a future flash forward with 90 yearold Chuck and Blair still not together because Chuck is still busiy achieving some ridiculous goal.

    But nothing was more disappointing than a hint of Derena getting back together - NO, just NO! I

    @ Eric, are you crazy? For sex between Serena and Nate at the beginning of season 1 greater blame was on Nate then to Serena, Serena after that repented, and Nate did not! On the other hand, Serena and Nate have started dating just before the end of season 3, while in season 1 and 2 Serena was with Dan! You are wrong Serena and Blair made poroblemes to each other, none of them are innocent! But as far as Yale for that is the only guilty itself Blair, Serena has handed over his place on Yale to Blair, and thus angered Dan, but Blair ruined that chance by making the scheme with that Professor, with whom Dan had sex after! You are completely wrong Serena and Blair are like sisters and they are BFF!

  7. Zoran

    @Fani, at the beginning, but the way things are developing will re-ignite the flame of love between Serena and Dan! Baby steps, baby steps!

  8. efron

    You know there's something wrong with GG when instead of watching Gossip Girl on monday night I rather watch RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars...

  9. Zoran

    @Elisa, I totally agree with you! So all the time Serena was right that Dan was'' in love'' in Blair from his book, and not right Blair! And because of this Dan was in the end of season 5 angry at himself, even though that anger he vented at Serena, realizing that he chose the wrong girl (Blair) and that Serena might not be willing to fully forgive him what he did with her BFF ! And probably because of that he did not want to talk to Blair in the summer! So far, in most cases, Dan saved Serena, and now the time has come to Serena to save Dan, which sank to right of the bottom! Baby steps, baby steps!

    I guess my dreams of Serenate happening are pretty much diminished :(

  11. layla

    To the people who keep saying "why do we keep watching?" You better be thankful that were are watching because the ratings for GG have been flopping so hard. I wish frank ocean performed in the show!

    @j

    Thank you for pointing that out!!!!

    "In order to claim date rape, you have to say no." - Whoever let this line slip deserves to be fired.

    "I'd rather end up with no one than be with you." - That's great, Blair. Why didn't you say this back in season 5 when you consciously got together with Dan but still emotionally cheated on him with Chuck. How mighty do you feel on that horse?

    "Thank you for not sleeping with Serena." - Thank you for instead attempting to rape Jenny, sleeping with Jenny, sexually harassing Serena, selling Blair out for a hotel, etc. Because Blair Waldorf is only complete when she can feel superior to Serena VDW.

    Blair: the worst character on TV.

    FINALLY some progression, I am so glad it set way for Derena to get back together before the show ends, I've always rooted for them so Dair for me was a complete mistake lol. The sexual tension between Chair is also killing me, why is it pact of their pact?? Did anyone else get the feeling that Lily will actually help Chuck after all? Just something about the way she spoke to Bart after he told her the whole truth about his illegal dealings. Thank God Sage and Steven are out of the picture now, the worst addition to GG ever, they got way too much screen time. I now just wonder who Nate's gonna end up with?!

  14. Yvette

    I am a fan of this show but I hate how careless the writers are with the topic of rape. I feel like they trivialise it when it is a terrible, serious thing. For victims of this heinous act it's really disturbing to see.

    The only good thing about this episode was the Frank Ocean playing in the background. Hopefully this is the last of Page and her dad. Such boring, pointless characters.

    @j
    I actually thought the "I'd rather be with no one than with you" encapsulated Blair's attitude towards Dan perfectly. After all, she's not technically with Chuck right now, and she *still* doesn't want Dan, does she? She couldn't seem less interested in him if she tried. Sucks to be Dan, I guess.

    I am truly sorry that your ship sunk though- it couldn't have happened to a lovelier group of fans. If only there were some way to have seen this whole scenario coming, like, two years ago...

    @Erik
    Are you really comparing Serena dating Nate to Blair dating Dan? Because when Serena first came back in S1, she turned Nate away, telling him that her friendship with Blair came first. She didn't actually date him for another 2 and a half years, when Blair was totally fine with it- she had happily moved on with Chuck and no longer had any romantic feelings for Nate. Blair dated Dan knowing Serena was still in love with him. That's the difference.

    As far as the rest of your post goes, Serena did NOT ruin Blair's chances to get into Yale- in fact, she gave up her spot FOR Blair, and then Blair effed it up entirely on her own. Serena pushed her into a cake after Blair called her a prostitute, FYI. And what on earth did Serena do to threaten Blair's relationship with Eleanor? That was all Blair's insecurities. Seriously, are you just making this stuff up?

  18. j

    After seeing this travesty for a show it's safe to say to say that the Chair fans are the stupidest fanbase in the world and shit you not - It's really laughable to read about your logic.

    "Thank you for not sleeping with Serena" - And Chuck responded to that, really? The same guy trying to force himself on her in the very first episode and gave gave her sexual indecent remarks to her. And the fact she is his sibbling sibling by Lily adopting him. *Sigh, dear lord

    "I'd rather be with no one than with you" - Too bad that she didn't felt this way during her "loving" relationship with Chuck, it would be so much believable.

    And the worst statement: "In order to claim date rape, you have to say no" - Bringing in that heinous word and the meaning of it, I'm lost for words really.

    R.I.P Blair Waldorf - The worst pathetic weak female character ever - Nicely done writers

  19. Erik

    @nancy: Are you even kidding? Serena slept with Nate when he was the ONLY thing in Blair's universe and THEN turned around and dated him afterwards!!! She pushed her face into a cake, she ruined Blair's chance to get into Yale, she's threatened Blair's relationship with her mother, basically called Blair inferior to her during that whole Jenny mess -- Serena has never been a good friend to Blair. Blair isn't perfect, she's snarky and scheming and all that, but Serena is a hypocrite. She says one thing, does another and puts herself before any and everyone else. Does anyone remember when she also stole Poppy's boyfriend (yes, she was getting caught up in a scheme but she didn't know that at the time -- all she knew was that she was getting involved with someone else's boyfriend).

    Should Blair have dated Dan? Why the hell not? Serena didn't bother to not date Nate giving the discomfort of their past. She didn't bother to not sleep with him and take his virginity when she knew her bes

    I agree that it was the best episode so far this season, and I think it was a combination of a good writer, a good director, and things actually happening in the episode. Unfortunately, none of those things involved Chuck and Blair boning each other, but I'm trying to be patient on that front. Their almost-kiss-nuzzle-thing was still pretty hot on its own, but I just can't understand why their pact forbids sex. If anything, the lack of sex seems to be distracting them more than actual sex would....

    Also, all of the Blair/Chuck/Dan stuff was glorious. I got Blair forgetting Dan was even in the room the second Chuck walked in, Blair slapping Dan, Blair telling Dan "I'd rather be with no one than with you", and Blair reassuring Chuck that "there's no one better for me than you." And I didn't even get you anything, GGWriters.

  21. Fani

    Isn't Dan playing Serena?
    I thought tv fanatic revealed that in a spoiler.

  22. Emily

    Have to agree that this was the best episode since the premiere. I was glad to see some movement on the Blair/Serena front, even if it broke my heart. Now what I really need is for Serena to tell Blair that Dan is exactly the reason SB drifted apart and stopped being best friends. You don't date a guy your bff loves when you don't even love him. How could B have put her own fear of being with Chuck over Serena's pain?

    Anyway, Chuck and Ivy's plan had more merit than I thought. Too bad it failed and Lily once again showed both Chuck and Serena what a terrible mother she is. CB at the end was really sweet, though, and almost made up for the other setbacks.

    Georgina's one liners were the highlight in terms of comedy. :)

  23. Chairleader

    One of the best moments in GG history was when Blair told Dan, "I'd rather end up with no one than be with you." Thank you!!!!! Even as a diehard Chair shipper, my problem with "Dair" (they don't even deserve a combined name) was never that Blair wasn't with Chuck per se, but that she was with Dan of all people. For crying out loud, Dan has made it clear from season one that he hates Blair and everything she stands for, so why would she ever even remotely consider the possibility of being with him? In the first half of season four before he fell "in love" with her, he was actively plotting to bring her down, or does no one remember when he stole Chair's peace treaty? Finally, Blair clearly spelled it out for Delusional Boy that even if she's not with Chuck, she still wouldn't be with Dan!!!

  24. thecoco

    Can we stop pretending that sage has a hot body and that the "sex dress" didnt looke like it was made out of toilet paper?

  25. Elisa

    Don't even let me start talking about Sage. I think that in 6 years of guest stars she's by far the most useless (and there were loads of useless guest stars during all these years). And her father isn't any better. If he was intended to be the one that put Serena back in track, I think it would have been far better if she had redeemed just with her own determination, building her own career (she's the only character who isn't working at the moment, and it's a shame).
    I was a little impressed that Nate had a good storyline (he still keeps sleeping with female guest stars, but it wouldn't be him if he didn't, right?), I just hope that the writers won't lose him in the way...
    Rufus and Ivy: I skip all of their scenes, simply because it's just a waste of time and I'm not interested at all.
