The problem is that Chair no longer has the chemistry that they used to have. All of the overdramatic pledges they've been making seem almost comical; when I watch them together, I get the same ewww vibe that I get wen I watch Rufus and Ivy. Do we know for a fact that they'll get back together at the end? Based on what we're seeing, I'm skeptical. If I had to make a prediction, I'd say that Dan is going to end up either alone, or with someone awful like Ivy at the end, and I'm basing this on the douchey treatment that the writers have been giving his character (someone really doesn't like Penn!). However, I'm just not convinced about Chair.

I hate Derena. Next episode, S is going to ask D to stay at her place? Wtf. I can't stand them. Dan is so boring when he's with Serena. I wish his friendship with Blair lasted longer. They were awesome together. GG is just too predictable now. They better make Blair and Chuck have the best sex scene of the century after making us wait THIS long for them to be together!

So let me get this straight. Dan is all that's bad for sleeping with Serena after Blair had emotionally checked out of their relationship and that's worse than attempted rape, getting pimped out, compared to a racehorse and taking Jenny's virginity when she was vulnerable. I must have a skewed viewpoint of what's acceptable clearly! I am tired of Dan being villified. He's a good person who occasionally does wrong compared to a bad person who occasionally does right. They have destroyed both Serena and Dan to force Chair. Poor writing and bad taste.

This last season is really making me dislike all of the characters I used to like. Hopefully this is the last we'll see of Steven and his horrible spawn, although annoying characters tend to hang around gossip girl (cough! Ivy). At this point I've lost interested in Rufus. He deserves Ivy....I just wish we didn't have to see them together.
I'm not sure why Blair was so outraged about Dan. It makes her look like a hypocrite, seeing that she's cheated on the past 2 people she dated (just because she didn't sleep with Chuck doesn't mean that she didn't betray Dan). And the whole speech to Chuck about him being the better man and trivializing the Jenny incident just sounded like a weak excuse to justify dating Chuck.

G had the best line when it came to the Dair relationship which she basically pointed out Dan only got Blair once she lost Louis and simply her marbles too. Thank you writers.
I got why Blair was upset, Chuck never presented himself like he was perfect, in fact he kept saying he wasn't, however Dan did. Dan also flexed his Humphrey muscle when it came to taking responsibility for his actions as unless Serena was told "no", Dan was a willing participant in the sex part. BTW Chuck never slept with Jenny while he was with Blair, Dan did. Hopefully Dan will drop the douche act.

oh yea i totally forgot to mention that the line and scene of the episode had to go to chair about chuck not sleeping with serena albeit it she rejected in pilot the details aren't important but the outcome is! that proved how chuck isn't this guy all these GG3.0 aka dair shippers keep on trolling about *yawn* #boremelater!!!!! also loved how blair mentioned to dan how what he did was worse than the fatal deflowering of lil J in s3 i think it was. that was a very very very deep blow considering the pilot to that moment. it just showed how low dan has sunk since his arrival to UES

Georgina is my favourite GG character. Every moment she's on screen is hilarious. That scene where she stops some random guy, and then walks off with him was the best scene in the episode.
Totally agree that the phone grab was stupid. So glad Steven and Sage are gone. I hope it's for good.
Nate...Nate's back to being irrelevant? lol. Or will they get another random pretty girl for him to date?

I don't understand why everybody's thinking that Chair's relationship decision is stupid. They're both clearly stars who shined on their own and then fell. They can't be together unless they've redeemed themselves as individuals first because otherwise they'll feel like they're giving themselves and their dreams up for the other who has succeeded.
Also, Serena really doesn't deserve Blair. They're obviously going to reconcile, but I was hoping they wouldn't. Blair has screwed with Serena too, but never ever do you see S making an apology. Even during Blair's speech today, S didn't bother apologizing for totally screwing up B's show. As far as I'm concerned, B's career is a lot more important than another one of S's stupid relationships.

Blair didn't even have the decency to break up with Dan face to face, phone calls and emails is BS - But Blair intended to do it and she respected Dan enough to not sleep with Chuck before she did???? And yet she did that before talking to him. (Not knowing what Dan did ofc)
Beside don't you end a relationship before starting a new one? - That's basically common sense and decency to do right? And breaking up through email or the phone is a cowardly shitty thing to do in book, and Blair herself told Eleanor that Dan was her best friend in 5x24

8) rivy EWWWWW why writers WHY can't you make rufus wake up and smell the brooklyn stairways! ivy is using him to get back at lily and she's not even hiding it any more. why can everyone see but him! she lied about her finances and her situation. why would you keep when her vision is the same as lily's!! is that not the reason why you two didn't work because of her vast fortune in comparison to yours??? confused.com here!!! but i don't get how ivy gets with william if she's still with rufus.....this i'd like to see how it all plays out.

5) the chair scene made me smile and then want to find the writers n slap them with a fish! make them kiss already for crying out loud make blair wear the ring on her finger! she should just do it and be done! who doesn't have a long engagement these days!!!!
6) derena, knew this was going to happen if carter couldn't reappear, no shock there. they always find each other when they are both down, its only fitting that it started with lonely boy seeking S to S and lonely boy riding off together in europe....(i'll keep referring to europe because LB should be there writing not here)
7) lily always chose man over her children hence why S and eric have so many problems but to do so to chuck, i found heart-breaking! and for that i'll join Chuck in taking him down

1) lonely boy didn't go to S because B disowned, he went to her because at the end of the day who else do they both have to talk to? they have shunned everyone out through their actions and as i pointed out in previous reviews THEY DESERVE EACH OTHER! loved the ending scene and the music (kudos) felt like maid in manhattan.
2) ding dong the spences are gone WOOOOOOOOO
3) dair has finally been buried
4) blair was upset at the way dan and serena were judging her n chuck when all along they had been keeping that secret.

I for one was so happy about this episode that it warranted a 5/5 for its last 15 minutes.
FINALLY the series has started, albeit late but hey ho thats writers for you these days, too smart for their own good. just like revenge, the writers have removed the unnecessary characters and kept the relevant ones.

This was probably done to make in the next episodes to came to a final reconciliation between Serena and Blair, it's the only possible explanation!

As it was to be expected 6x05 is a step in the right direction! Finally put an end to the stupid relationship between Serena and Stephen, and as I've said before sex tape is ultimately weapon that has put an end to the foolishness of Serena and Stephen! And as it happened in the previous seasons, when Serena was hurt she seeks solace with the love of her life - Dan, baby steps, baby steps! Unlike the fans who continue to cheer for sank ship Dair and did not understand what happened in 6x05, it is clear to everyone else that Dan, before return to Serena which loves him, he wanted one more time to make sure that Blair does not love him! On the other hand, is totally stupid as to put that Blair is hurt with sex tape. This episode was less boring than the others but not that great.Blair is a stupid bitch and a damn hypocrite.Her reaction to the sex tape was RIDICULOUS, she didn't think dating 'the love of serena's life" last year couldn't hurt her badly? But she didn't stop. FUCK BLAIR, she is pathetic.I don't even want her with chuck, he is too good for her.
Dan is SO pathetic and the fact that we are going back to derena now don't make sense. Serena deserves better.

Blair has become so pathetic and sad. The writers have made one of the best characters regress back into the insecure, directionless, lovelorn teenager she was in high school. Ending up with Chuck is NOT a fairy tale ending. Her only hope is to take off for Yale or Paris to work on herself, by herself for a few years.
