The only thing is episode deserves credit for is for finally everyone calling out Blair on her high school behavior! Finally! Because really.. as for everything else. Ew to DERENA! No, srsly. The guy has been nothing but a dick to everyone and her including and S is so stupid and with no pride if she accepts him back so easily. Can't believe it but Nate actually had a point...as if S would really ever listen! As for the promo next week..OMFG...Chuck telling Blair they can;t be together....kill me now! And why you are at it - can someone stake Ivy, that bitch needz ta go!

i'm sure in episode 11 Chuck would say this word again "Blair, we can't be together because my dad is still alive"
that's why CW decided to take 10 episode only for GG. :))

If Queen B offers the designer position to Little J and they collaborate to make her B by Waldorf Design line a success it would show both characters maturing it would a great scene for the finale with B secure enough in her life and relationship that she's able to forgive Jenny hope it happens if it doesn't talk about a missed opportunity

I'm in the UK so get the ep a couple of days later and have to admit have just been deleting it without watching as the eps sound truly awful. The writers are stuck in a loop and its boring, boring, boring! Also the lack of continuity, complete disregard of what was previously written and stagnant characterisation is so disappointing.

Gossip Girl is so frustrating! I keep watching but I feel like no one grows or develops. Yes scheming is all fun and all, but this is the last season, there needs to be some closure. Seriously Dan and Serena again? They get together because it's almost like last resort due to humiliation. Dan was still pining for Blair last episode. Blair needs to get her shit together again and be strong and take over!

I find Blair's idea for the new clothing line good; but I've already seen some pictures. I wish I hadn't =/ It's nice to see Nelly Yuki but I missed Georgina... I'm afraid for Blair & Chuck in next week's episode. Looks like he's really disappointed and tells her they have no future :( I know they'll eventually end up together but I can't bear to see them separated once again but I also know the writers have to put some drama in their relationship =S
Despite me being glad that Derena is back, I kinda wish we had had Serenate too ;-)

The episode was actually good; reminding us of the good old days :-) Despite everything they said to each other, I'm glad Dan & Serena are back together even if it doesn't make much sense since he admitted he was still interested in Blair last week at the beginning of the episode. OK, it was no surprise they would get back together and maybe there was no build-up but how can you do that when there are 10 episodes left? When they filmed the end of S5, they didn't know they would get only 10 episodes and she could not return to him right away in the S6 premiere. Just watch the show as it is and don't try to understand or see if it's logical. I find it still entertaining. Last week's episode was good too :)

On the other hand, Blair knew very well that Serena is still in love with Dan, nice to see in the conversation between Serena and Blair in 5x13, so it is not supposed to be with him, because, as Blair said - You can not choose in which 're going to fall in love, but you can choose how you're going to love it! Serena never gave Blair a blessing to be with Dan, but she accepted it as a reality, knowing that Blair was in love with Chuck and that Blair will be back to him soon as it happened! However, having said Serena to Blair, Blair was instantly used and kissed Dan with the sight of Serena, which is very arrogant and rude! And as far as I know, Serena has never been kissed with Nate in front of Blair in season 3! Because of this, it is very difficult to Serena and Blair to reconcile, but I think in 6x07 that will happen! And again, therefore, it is necessary to look at the big picture and not focus on the individual characters and couples. I agree with you that never should have ha

@b, from the beginning of your answer I agree, both, Serena and Blair were making all sorts of disgusting things to each other, but I can not agree with the other because neither of them is innocent both of are guilty, the only question is for which the two of us is rooting, you likely for Blair and I of course for Serena! And is why is necessary to consider the big picture and not focus on a single character or a couple. At the end of season 5 Serena was the only victim, that's a fact! Serena did scanned portions of Blair diary but not released while she was GG 3.0, and that's a fact! And if she wanted to she could publish, Blair did not know that Serena has become GG 3.0, but Serena did not! Secondly Serena did not again had sex with Blair’s boyfriend, because at the moment when Serena and Dan had sex, Blair and Dan were no longer in a relationship, because Blair, behold chance, chose Chuck! On the other hand, Blair knew very well that Serena is still in love with Dan, nice

I actually did like the Dan/Serena scenes (despite the fact that Dan seems to be escaping relatively unscathed from his overwhelming douchebaggery), and Blair/Eleanor was wonderful as always. And I really enjoy Blair interacting with Nelly was well. Chuck, unfortunately, got bogged down in the slowest-moving storyline ever, and throwing Rufus/Ivy into the mix is hardly going to help matters.
Anyway, I did enjoy it, for a Chair-less episode (the last one, thank God), but Chuck's storyline is such a waste. I'd rather see him and Nate sit around getting high and playing Halo, rather than trying to solve the slowest-moving mystery in the history of TV, for reasons that still are not clear to me.

This episode at least wasn't boring but we all know this show died a long time ago so why even bother hoping it will get better..

Okay, let's get Yale recapped;
1. Serena, It-Girl of her time was accepted to Yale but didn't tell anyone anything, because Blair had been wait-listed;
2. Meanwhile, Dan was also accepted and was thrilled;
3. Blair, wait-listed at the time, got a B in literature (yes, taught by Ms. Carr, who later slept with Dan) and feared it would ruin her G.P.A, therefore get her off the waiting list;
4. Blair tells Serena she didn't apply anywhere else and Serena turns down her acceptance, hoping Blair is next in line;
5. She tells Blair this and ecstatic, thinking Yale is sure now, Blair goes after Ms. Carr;
6. Nelly Yuki, who also wanted to go to Yale (recall Season One, SAT times?) tells Ms. Carr and Headmistress Queller what Blair did, so Blair's acceptance is placed on hold and she has to perform community service (which yes she has Dorota do anyway);
7. But Blair is still persistant on getting back on Carr, and ruins her shots at Yale when Ms. Carr sends them something, I don't remem

I agree this was the season's very best yet! While the season premiere came back strong, things just went down road from episodes 2-4, only to be more or less re-animated in "Monstrous Ball". But overall it feels as if things are picking up (next week's episode appears to be good) and hopefully we can end the show on a high-note. If only there hadn't been episodes 2-4 this season, it could actually be an entirely good final season! The good thing is, like Blair, producers apparently realize - GG was good in High School. NYU and Brown brought it downhill, season 4 more or less made things work again and then of course there was season 5, something we all wish to erase from our minds.

@ zoran Blair and Serena have both done things to each other but Blair always stopped before she actually hurt Serena. Serena on the other hand uploaded all of B's diaries to the Gossip Girl laptop then slept with yet another of B's boyfriends on the bar at the Campbell Apartment Blair's treatment of Serena in the finale and this season has been justifiable Blair attempted to make amends with S and she didn't accept her apology and acted like she was the victim if she had a problem with B being with Dan she should have said so instead of giving them her blessing. All of which is further proof Dair shouldn't have happened I've been rewatching the first three season and that relationship came out of nowhere during the fourth season and alienated most the shows fans

This was the best bit IMO (coz yeah I'm a LM fan): "We know that Blair's characterization has been uneven at best this year, but between her childish tantrum at Dan, her awkward capitulation to her mother and the petulant blackmailing of Nelly Yuki, it's rare to see a character who has been so thoroughly cannibalized just to suit the unimaginative whims of one episode's incomprehensible plotting. If I were Leighton Meester, I'd be stuffing pins into wax effigies of the entire writing staff by this point, but I'm guessing she's just mentally counting her paychecks and going to her happy place every time she's in front of a camera."
I bet there are more people who'd like to do that to the writing staff!!!
