NCIS Spoilers: Tiva to Open Up Like Never Before?

at . Comments

This summer, NCIS' brain trust promised to "take things further" with Tony and Ziva in Season 10.

As always, that could mean any number of things. Ambiguity is one of the show's calling cards.

That said, executive producer Gary Glasberg offered this insight to TV Guide: “As we get into November sweeps, expect to see Tony and Ziva opening up to each other more, sharing some guarded memories that they both cherish."

"Tony will have some decisions to make as the season progresses," the show-runner adds of Michael Weatherly's character, hinting, "decisions that could leave him at a real emotional crossroads.”

Elsewhere, Glasberg weighed in on Alex Kingston guest starring as a key character (and a redhead no less) who will catch Gibbs' eye. Miranda Pennebaker will serve as his conduit to D.C.'s underworld.

"She is someone with a bit of a shady past who knows a lot about the underground sale of things," he says - the selling of a teenage girl in this particular case. "Gibbs turns to her for information."

"They clearly have a bit of a sordid past. It's never really determined how far their past went, but there's flirtation in the air. This is the first time that they are really working together on something."

Will it be the last? Sound off on these dueling NCIS teasers in the comments below ...

If you go over to TV guide NCIS is no longer on the Most Popoular TV show list

@janet - what actual proof do you have that "most Tony fans are happy that there will be tiva soon"? From reading and participating in many NCIS discussion forums, I understand that many Ziva fans desperately want tiva, but a huge portion of NCIS forum posters who identify themselves as Tony fans, have expressed in no uncertain terms that the idea of tiva disgusts them, further diminishes Tony, and is something that they want under no circumstances. Many of us will sign off of the show if or when this sick abusive relationship is whitewashed as loving, and consummated.

@michael firstly jag had run its course it was time for it to come to an end i forgot how many seasons and they didnt get together till the last for tony and ziva being like ross and rachael that was an half hour comedy which ran for many years and it also was time for it to finish,as it will be time for ncis to end within the next 2 years and it will end with tiva for that im sure.

You keep on thinking that Janet but we live in the real world and there is not one single Tony fan on these website or any other that want to see Tony and Ziva become like Ross and Rachel HELL the dude who made NCIS does not want to see it that why he made NCIS because he knew he screw up JAG when he gave in to the shipper

most tony fans are happy that there will be tiva soon thats how it should be.

I think the tiva will likely happen. TPTB have obviously decreed that the only dramatic, far reaching, and consequential story lines must feature either Gibbs or Ziva. Tony's significance to the show has been reduced to his obligatory humiliation scenes, and to support the constant moments written to flatter and fanwank Ziva. The show really has turned into ZCIS. So sad for Tony fans.

I just wish NCIS would do what criminal minds did with the HP shipper and just kill these before it started I mean the idea of Tony and Ziva having sex on top of dead people does not trun me on like it does some people.

TIVA if that's what both Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo want.

@janet I agree. One more reason why I think next season or #12 will be it. I also think that going out on top or pretty close to it is important to Harmon and to the rest of them.

every show must end sometime and i have a feeling NCIS is coming to an end if not this season the next.i think it should end while on top.

NCIS Quotes

Tony: One other question, I know you're an expert in English history. And I was just wondering, have you ever heard of Archibald Drummond, the 17th Earl of Trent?
Ducky: The Earl of Trent. No, I can't say I have. Why?
Tony: I was just wondering. Thanks.

McGee: All right. Well you should probably know that Abby and I used to date?
Bishop: Ew. Like, each other?
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: Wait - isn't that a violation of rule 12, never date a....
McGee: It was a long time ago. After we'd broken up, one night I went to her lab. Found a scribbled piece paper; a list. Potential boyfriends had to fulfill certain conditions by a pre-arranged date or else, goodbye.
Bishop: Such as.
McGee: Things started off relatively normal: opening the door for her, flowers, putting the seat down. Then around number 8, it gets uh...
Bishop: What?
McGee: Does she know you have these?
Bishop: Does she know you have these?
McGee: Yeah she wasn't happy when she found out.
Bishop: These are all very specific.
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: These ideas apply to you?
McGee: No those rules weren't in place when we were together. At least I don't think so.
Bishop: What's with the two month cutoff? Abby's sabotaging herself. I've seen stuff like this before. We have to talk to her.
