It was so nice to have a break from the tension! I love the way Supernatural always could make the abnormal or scary funny. It is nice to go back to the way things were.. Now...when Bobby comes back as an Angel.. I will be really happy!

I'm not sure what the glowing is. I think I heard Castiel is supposed to have some extra powers this season. Maybe that has something to do with it.

I thought that was the best episode for the entire season. It did remind me of Switching channels with Gabriel {Forgive me I can't remember the exact title of that episode} I can't believe no body mentioned the talking cat!!! That was hilarious!!! Do you know why no one is interested in the Sam and Amelia thing? Because the girl is not that cute. She doesn't seem like Sam or Jared's type. This is the guy who married Ruby in real life. I get that he is a brunette kind of guy but she is not that cute. Remember, Ruby {2nd one} Madison, and another brunette from season 1 I can't remember her name. The only blonde was Jessica.
If you want to see where this episode could have gone with more animation, look no further than season three episode 16 of Farscape (Revenging Angel). Featuring D'Argo in the Wily Coyote role chasing Chichton as the Road Runner, it had a number of really great moments.

I'm so sick of seeing Amelia. She's completely uninteresting and if she meant ANYTHING to Sam, he would have called her or at least visited her at some point in this season. Just kill her off and end that crap!
As for the episode, I thought it was hilarious! Though I'm not a fan of Cass, his blunt attitude was just hilarious when it came to him attempting to be a hunter. I'd happily see more of that.

For some reason the line that sticks out to me in the episode was when Castiel said that John Winchester had beautiful handwriting. It didn't mean anything to the story of course, but I thought it was just so sweet.
I think the Sam and Amelia storyline doesn't feel right for me is because I just can't picture Sam with her. I don't know what it is?

I love Castiel's performance. I didn't care much for Sam's backstory. He does need a haircut.

Sams flashbacks are annoying to me and i just want them to go away already.Im wondering where the hell they are leading to,if they're leading to anything at all ??...
I agree that it would of been awesome if Sam and Cas were animated versions of themselves in Freds head.
Garth has a safehouse boat ? That rules and i hope we get to see it

Naomi blocking Castiel from heaven seems awfully suspicious, as does the rest of her behavior. What is she up to?
On a side note, in every previous episode Cas healed people without any light show, just a simple touch and done. Is the glow effect supposed to be something significant, or just the FX guys playing around with post-production?
Even more side note: when the crime scene folks dust the (first) anvil for prints, would they come up with the mysteriously missing Jimmy Novak from Pontiac, Illinois, and be mightily confused?
