The only history they had was being at the same school nothing else never dated, there was no fire just guilt that stopped the fun. How do we know if there was any WOOING in the first season, the writers didn't put that in the script. Peter shows plenty of signs but a single woman can't see them married women can.

PS She got the job because she remembered him from school and needed a job plus Diane and him saw an way to minipulate her.

Ditto @ Esp. Peter hasn't shown any signs of wooing Alicia especially when he was on house arrest in the 1st season. Will and Alicia have history, have fun and have a great fire together. The mothers scene was hilarious!

  3. Gracey

Some think Will has heat others think he is hot but the real truth is as a single woman I wouldn't give him 2 minutes of my time. He is so low towards the gutter with his lying BS any self respecting woman would regret herself the next day.
Take a good look on all episodes since the start, the big question is WHY???
The answer is she has very deep feelings and is not about to let them go.

It was funny when Jackie and Alicia's mom traded saracastic zingers. Jackie's met her match! I agree about the situation with Cary -- he should have much worse than a black eye after such a brutal beating. Maybe the show's quality has gone down, but I still enjoy watching every episode.

Despite the fact that I am married, and contrary to what some of the posters have said, I absolutely do NOT want to see Alicia and Peter together. The only times these two have sex is to get back at eac other one way or another. First it was after Alicia kissed Will in the first season. She was exorcising her pent up frustration. Then Sunday, it was to prove her mother wrong. It seems that it is never because they love each other and desire intimacy with one another. Even the scene where Peter goes down on Alicia was a control thing. These two are terrible together! At least with Will, there was heat between them--not just proving a point.

Alicia might have tried to show herself that her mother is wrong but she really did it for herself and Peter that she is still in love with him. This is not a power trip or anything else most single women pull tis kind of card to get their way, married women use it as a sign of true love and stick to it.

Don't forget when it comes to infidelities she is in the same boat as Peter so pull the anchor and cast off tht ship has sailed !!!!

I will no longer be watching this once-terrific show. Sunday's was the last straw - totally disgusting.

the stand off with cary and nick was bound to happen and sort of prophesied what is to come of these two. i do think the writers will regroup and remove nick from the series. its nothing against his acting (trollers please stop referring to the characters as their real names keep professional and refer to screen names) but the way his character is written. kalinda went from fear to lust and as a loyal fan i'm just not buying into it. its not this show and they need to keep focus on campaign, jackie health and the firm's financial troubles.

overall was a watchable 4/5. the case kudos for addressing but i just want to see cases that bring them out of debt not topical issues.

i personally found the episode watchable. alicia showed why she chose to remain with peter despite the constant infidelities and lies. it seems her mother never approved and alicia uses peter and their shambles of a marriage to rebel. the closing scene shows how she uses peter to have power and prove something to whomever is attacking her at the time.

the conversation between veronica and peter explained everything. peter sees alicia as his loyal dog that no matter what will be there despite him having found other pets, he can't let go of this one. its sad really because these two have outgrown love and feelings to just share two children and crazy mothers. they need to divorce and lead their own lives.

that he decided to punish him...and did Cary assume that it was enough for Nick to arrange the beating up? There are too many plot holes, too many incongruities and to many things letf to viewers' guessing.

  11. Steve2

One of your main characters (the most underused one) is beaten up and what do you do? 3 minute screentime and a black eye? Good job. Really.
@steve No. He's doing nothing right now. But he should, because this show keeps wasting his time. They're just messing up with Cary's storyline to end the Nick's nonsense: but now almost everything doesn't make sense.
It doesn't make sense Cary just had a black eye when the beaten up was really serious.
It doesn't make sense that he lied about the beaten up and acted like nothing happened.
He doesn't make sense that now it looks like Cary is looking for revenge but that we didn't see anything about how he figured out it was Nick behind the beaten up and why he decided to just threaten him and why he didn't call the police.
Also did Cary also figure out WHY Nick arranged the beaten up? We don't know. He doesn't know about Kalinda so according to what Nick told him it could be just because Nick teasing him about being gay that he decided to pun

Null---I'M WITH YOU ON YOUR ASSESSMENT OF THIS PETER/ALICIA TOGETHER.

While the death of Tony Scott may have indeed played some part in the direction this show is now going, I think the bigger picture is CBS and their DUMB MOVE of putting it on Sunday nights where it is constantly preempted by stupid football!!!!!!!!!!!

I, too, also so NO NEED in Carey taking a beating or for this arc to carry out over several episodes. Anybody that has kept up with this show at all KNOWS Carey WILL HAVE his revenge..............

I, too, am tired of Peter and Alicia's "will they or won't they" relationship being drug out .......either put them together or not already. I don't want Alicia with Will. That was fun while it lasted but Will unfortunately is not relationship material........not sure he ever would be........

It saddens me to see all these negative comments about this once great show. Do you think perhaps it is just a little "at sea" due to the fact that one of its "executive producers" jumped off the Tallahachee Bridge, so to speak. Tony Scott may have had more to do with this show than his title and I for one an more than willing to let this unfortunate chain of events sort themselves out and allow this great team of writers and actors time to get back to doing what they have done so well these past few years. Last year, it was consistently the BEST show on television, but now there's much more competition (much of it all on Sunday night I might add) AND THE LOSS OF TONY SCOTT WAS A TERRIBLE TRAGEDY. I say, hold on, The Good Wife will find its footing and we'll all be rooting for Alicia, Kalinda, Will and even Peter and Carey before all is said and done. Yes, I'm still a die-hard fan!

Iam guessing that the people that still want Alicia/Will to be together is not married and never have been and therefore beieve slleping around, marriedd or not is alright. When Alicia told Will she couldn't do this any more, it's to much; don't you think she had some feelings of guilt and shame. Alicia is a woman of high standards and realize her behavior was inappropriate. Some just don't like Peter but that's on you; Alicia likes him and that should be enough. Yas, Will's next conquest is Amanda Peet so don't be surpised whenit happens. It won't bother Alicia and I hope you can survive. If she is female his zipper goes done and he has not repect for women whether married or not. If he can't respect a friend marriage than who?

This was not one of their better episodes. And where were the kids at this family dinner?

One star TV for Stockard Channing.

    @Foo
    Completely agree with you.

I'm now officially done with this show as well. I also think it will be canceled. So I'm no longer investing time on this hot mess.

I acored the show until they introduced Kalinda's husband into it. It's a ludicrous storyline that doesn't fit the show at all and they really need to lose it or they'll lose me. After the beating Cary took, he should have been in the hospital for 3 weeks but shows up with a slightly black eye that, by the way, looked VERY attractive on him. Stupid, stupid, stupid. The only thing I liked was that I got the distinct impression in his conversation with Nick that he has revenge planned. But please, no more S&M scenes between Nick and Kalinda. He's an awful character and the actor's pretty lousy too. They should stick to the legal cases and Peter's campaign. THOSE are interesting. Kalinda's husband is not.

I am very disappointed with this season, I loved season 1+2, 3 was okay but just that. This has nothing to do with my preferences in relationships, it is just the whole show, like they lost their way somehow. Form it looks like they try to satisfy everybody and disappoint most of the viewers., I did not even bother to get the last shows, it seems to be enough to read here what has happened.

Its about time Alicia showed her true spirit and where her heart is, after 4 seasons that has shown Peter in the right place where she wants him to be. A true husband and father and not the sleez everyone puts him out to be, she has only one thing she gave up was an affair with a man she admitted that she doesn't love and still doesn't. The writers and producers are finnally getting it right putting family values first and office BS out of the picture.

    PS Anne is right.

Is it possible that Matt Czuchry is working on other projects thereby limiting his exposure in the show? Just a thought. If it's not that, it's a "crime," the way he has been used this year. He had much more exposure in the first few years of the show.

  22. Melissa

continued: if she is not going to be with Will at least divorce Peter and be with someone else.

I too was disappointed with the follow up on Cary. I was proud of him for going to confront Nick, but then that was it. Hopefully it will be pursued in future episodes.
Eh on the case. I was sorta bored with it.
Loved Alicia's mom and particularly her scenes with Jackie. The 2 of them are a pair of dysfunctional people if you ever saw it. And of course, not happy with the last scene. Has anyone else seen the spoiler rumors that Alicia will end up pregnant this season? And at this point, that means it would be Peters baby. Desperately hoping that's not true. In this episode, it was definitely played that Alicia does not want to end up like her mother, and is therefore, making an at least partial attempt to repair her marriage. I do think that plays into her hesitancy with Will-not wanting to end up on her 3rd failed marriage like Veronica. But it poses interesting questions of if she'll ever be truly happy with Peter again. I love Will and want her with him, but if she is not goin

  24. Anne

    Continued.

No, I don't think Alicia's losing out on anything. And the fact that Veronica, who is not even 1/10th the woman Alicia is, is trying to judge her for her principles, for her loyalty? Now that's sad.

  25. Anne

Have you ever considered this: maybe doing the right thing makes Alicia happy?

Alicia's nothing like her mother. She realizes that there's more to life than catering to the latest whim and absolving yourself of any and all responsibility the way her mother did. She's never going to abandon her children to go do whatever the new man in her life wants for years at a time. She's an adult, and that's admirable. That strength and nobility is admirable.

The look on Alicia's face doesn't show the sacrifices she made, it showed that she realizes SHE'S one of the sacrifices her mother made.

And really, what has Alicia given up? The right to pulverize the heart of a man who's trying to do the right thing and give her the time and the chance to make the ultimate decision about their life? The right to have her own life, her independence, and her conscience? No, the only thing she gave up was an affair with a man she admitted that she doesn't love.

    No, I don't think Alicia's losing o
