"What are you wearing?" Hilarious. I wasn't surprised it was Sloan. Sometimes the guest star isn't the culprit but there are too many inside jobs on The Mentalist. Rigsby eating popcorn like a seal was funny. It was nice to see Cho smile.

(continued) now is where things get interesting? Look at the next few episode descriptions. The Lorelei-Red John theme is going to start taking over. 2 weeks from now we'll know alot about this show's direction and future. The way they have pushed this Red John storyline and how they are running out of weekly case ideas and originality really makes me think this is the last season( I just cant see how they can extend this Red John storyline another whole year espec after theyve hyped up new Red John details so much this year). But we shall see. For those wanting Red John answers, for the first time since the s3 finale, the Mentalist really begins now

(continued)We saw a lot of different stuff from him we dont often see and im not just talking about the prison guards. And as for the prison guard scenes, hmmmmm now things get interesting. The guard gave into jane too easily(wouldnt any guard type of figure threaten an intruder w a gun or put up a bigger fight before giving him his answer, espec if he knows what Jane is after) and Jane involving the police was interesting on his part. Like an above poster said, sex crimes are 1 thing he cant stand for. But doesnt that risk the chance of red john motives and word of this being the leak guard spreading to those in the FBI? Jane was very strong this episode.

Much needed, they need a strong episode like this after a string of decent but hardly special ones. The one complaint is again we see a crime where its an inside person(Really Bruno, you couldnt have come up with anything more creative? What, the first 73 times you used that idea not enough for you?)That said, even though its repetitive, they at least added a different twist to it. We didnt see Jane actively say he figured out the scheme, it all played out before us and they did a really nice job portraying the women as really dark evil and a smarter con than most we see on the show. The rest was good. The idea of a hostage was well done, we saw a more aggressive side of Jane which was intruiging.

Very good your comments huisclothes. Very very good episode. I loved it. He was distracted, had much pace, the characters and the case of the week were attractive. We saw the best Jane, focused, intelligent, fast, fun (when Isaac is calling by phone) or joking with Lisbon about his performance. He is also cold as steel and effective when talking to the guardian at home. He is also relentless in fairness and doing the right thing when brought to the attention of the police the kind of guy who is the guardian. Regarding the Lisbon shirt, does not seem too bad, they are cops not models. Van Pelt, have not changed for 101 episodes her suit.

I think PJ knows the fact that Lisbon won't allow him to use "illegal" methods in locating LM. As part of his "dark" side, he obtained information from Walter that somehow would be used in planning her escape in the 8th episode. So no need to share that info with Lisbon who's likely to veto his plan. Watch the 8th episode. Bret Stiles to help Jane plan her escape.

(part two of the previous comment) Just as Lisbon wonders whether Jane could distance himself from the first woman he'd been intimate with, Jane wonders whether Lisbon might, even subconsciously, thwart his pursuit of Loralei out of her own barely suppressed feelings for him. He must distance himself from her here. Good episode. As long as they weave the Red John thread through each episode, I think we have a chance at a sixth season. And yeah, that pajama blouse and ugly jacket was bad. Maybe the rest was in the cleaners. Leather jacket at the end of Red Dawn was the coolest one she's ever worn.

Lots of layers to this episode. Jane as the brilliant child as he solved the crime and then the hypnotic mastermind as he dismantled that pathetic, violent man. Of course, the cops were there. No way was Jane going to let a rapist get off. Weird but such is my respect for Red John, I'm actually surprised that he would consort, even by proxy, with a rapist. He's been portrayed as a lot of things, but low rent pervert is not one of them. The guy who's capable of writing that note -- "Dear Mr Jane, I do not like to be slandered in the media..." -- has a certain elegance. An upscale serial killer. Guess I thought he had a code. But wait, that's Dexter.
I'm not surprised that Jane is keeping Lisbon out of the Loralei loop (their odd spelling, not mine.) Everyone back at Red John HQ knows he loves her and he doesn't want to wave her in Red John's face. Also, Lisbon is conflicted about Loralei. Just as Lisbon wonders whether Jane could distance himself from the first woman he'd

I thought it was a good episode better than last weeks, I was let down by last weeks 100th episode. This week the case was better and Jane seemed to be getting closer to finding Lorelei.

    Did Lisbon get shot?

Good episode, it was nice to see 'Cutthroat Bitch' again as Sloane but this tv show has given us selfish and cruel women so many times that honestly I'm a bit sick of it, its almost always 'the wife' or the woman involved.
The end part was intense and watching Jane deal with the disturbed, perverted man made me think of how similar Jane and Red John are in their ability to read people's weaknesses and using it to get what they want but as soon as I saw that Jane called the cops on him I realized Jane is definitely walking the good path.

I loved see Brenda again. I loved how Jane solve the case. I thought the brother was guilty. I was glad that Jane had nothing to do with the leak of Lorelei. I like Jane when something haunts. There were also fun things. Jane on the phone to Isaac asked "What are you wearing?"and Lisbon banging on the door. I enjoyed the episode,

Kind of hard not to assume that Sloan was at least part of it, considering who the actor was, otherwise they would have just used some nobody.

  14. Bonnie

Jane is so clever. I loved he way he solved both cases. He seems to be braver this season interviewing the suspects by himself and going to the transport guys house. Loved Cho smiling at Rigsby's seal noices. Was Jane going to go rescue Lorelei all by himself at the end? I loved the episode

Dd anyone notice the slight grin on Cho's face after he asked Rigsby to eat whatever he was popping into his mouth properly? We don't see that smile too often, so it was noticeable. Also, whatever happened to Cho's girlfriend? Kind of miss her....

  16. Olga

It was a good episode. Jane seemed obsessed about Lorelei and RJ. Maybe that explains their behavior when someone calls "bitch" to Lisbon. It was also a fun episode. I did not think Jane was "cruel" to Lisbon. Cruelty is another thing.

I thought it was cruel of Jane not to left Lisbon help since she is always there to bail him out of trouble. I thought Lisbon's blouse looked at lot like PJ's, her is clothing pretty awful. She's the boss and should dress the part, smh. I hope Walter didn't lead Jane on, although Red John seems to be untouchable.
