I have never been so glad to see a couple break up. I am a Stefan fan and finally feel like he can be free of the whole how does Elena feel ... save Elena. I am up for him having a new love interest that will stick for awhile. Damon shouldn't want Elena either because she is fickle. After they have fun together etc... I am sure when Elena loses control and continues to cry and whine she will want Stefan again. For wood also doesn't look like it will end well. Also maybe one day Bonnie will stop trusting people she shouldn't .

He is assisting Stefan and Elena and he is guiding their actions even if he has his own agenda he has saved the day a numerous times so far. He should be become an anti-hero or something. As for Tyler, good try to give him a heroic goal this year but let's be honest. His plan will FAIL. We saw it today. At this rate he and wolf girl will end up at A.A by paying their respects to the hybrids he gets killed. Not only that, but he will also lose Caroline in the process and the all the liquor in the world won't be enough to mild his sorrows. He got mad with her why exactly? For recruiting her to pretend breaking up and throwing herself to Klaus. He got mad about the date but not for sending her to him for drinks! Pathetic. As for Klaroline. I know it will never happen for real probably but it's a shame. There isn't only sparks but..Fireworks there! Amazing chemistry!

Before i say anything i am neither Stelena or Delena team. I respect both ships and i truly believe that Tvd has made a role-model triangle. I am happy with Stelena break up because Elena isn't the same person anymore. We know she won't get ever near to becoming like Catherine( hurrayy for seeing her even as hallucination) but she needs to evolve finally. And Damon will do this to her. I like Vampire Elena despite all the whining. She 's refreshing more strong i don't want to get the cure. As for the cure-professor shane-jeremy... I am sure its fake it has something to do with the Silas shane said but for Jeremy i all the way! They did it again! What a storyline for little Gilbert! I feel sad for Bonnie -in the end probably she ll get hurt... Klaus is possibly at his best this season! JosephMorgan is incredible in performing delivering huge emotions even in the slightest movements. Klaus is still the bad but he not lurking in the dark spots or threatening. He is assisting Stefan Elena

I’m amazed how good TVD actually is this season! Apart from the premiere, it was one terrific episode right after the other, compared to how disappointing the last half of Season 3 was…
And for the first time in three seasons I actually find Elena intriguing as a character - she should definitely continue in that honesty/ growing up vein.
Stelena breaking up – feels like a natural consequence of the last few episodes. If I was Stefan I would have gotten tired of all that Delena bonding long ago. He really tried to help her with the transition, but he can only put up with all her moods up to a point.
Move on Stef! Find a new love interest, have some fun, and maybe crack a smile once in a while.

The saddest and most disturbing part of this episode was the manner in which the group sacrificed Chris. He wasn't a character that viewers had the chance to know, but he risked being killed by Klaus in order to help them, and they killed him anyway, because Elena's sanity was more valuable than his life. Since when do Caroline and Jeremy kill innocents without any remorse? In fact, the only character with any moral compass in this episode was Tyler, who sadly had promised his friend that he would have his back. Even the TV Fanatic reviewer was too busy fantarding over the awesomeness of Jeremy's transformation to acknowledge the screwed up way in which it happened. I don't think that Caroline &Tyler's tension was silly or contrived, and I'm glad Tyler said something. Caroline put her friend before the life of Tyler's friend, and in an alternate universe, where episodes weren't written by Julie Plec, that would be grounds for a breakup. She deserves Klaus.

Oh, and am I the only one having respect for Klaus? That guy lived with hallucinations for 50 years? Even if I misunderstood it and it was "just" 15 years - give the man some credit for that!

This is my guess and I can be totally off base but I don't think there is any cure. My guess is that the tattoo is the key to finding this Silas guy that the prof talked about
I agree with you. Klaus did the same thing with the moonstone and doppelganger (inventing a legend so that every vampire and werewolf would be looking for them). So the legend of the cure might be a lie as well. And the writers would have another villain for next season in case the "cure" is found and dug up....
Favourite quote of the episode? Damon's "P.S. I called Stefan." :-) Favourite monologue? Katherine's! Even as a hallucination she totally rocks - and everything about Elena being the victim ALWAYS et cetera was just true.
At least Elena was honest in the end of the episode. Very good. But why did I get the feeling the writers now concentrate on trolling the Forwood and Klaroline fans just like they did with Stelena respectively Delena fans? Sorry, that sucks!!
Oh, and am I the only on

This episode was just mehh for me. At this point, Jeremy should just re-name himself The Human Pincushion, shouldn’t he? Man, that kid gets shot, stabbed, and snapped on a regular basis.
Im not a girl so i really could care less about all the love triangles on this show.Especially Elena,Damon and Stefan (Yawn).

ok, I finally have hope again. I hated whiny Elena and had to laugh at katherine's all your friends die because of you speech. So when Elena and Stephan had that conversation and when they were finally honest for the first time EVER I felt that bit of hope. Maybe now Elena can stop being this annoying spineless person and be on her own for a while, it won't kill her. Like the jeremy storyline, not interested in the whole lovestory between the witch and the immortal guy. Still absolutely hate bonny. her uselessness just seems to grow every episode.

Again. Just a guess. I would hope that it wouldn't be the cute because of all this tension and work that is going into her transition and everything and THEN they immediately find a cure. What a waste
Besides. Lets be honest what Elena needs, what we all need is MORE ELIJAH!!!

That's if the show doesn't end right then of course.
As for Delena shippers, don't get your hopes up. I give it an episode, maybe 2 before Elena runs back into Stefan's arms again and they're back to the pointless (and especially in this day and age intolerant and really stupid) Stefan-or-Damon love triangle.

Even though I know that she will, I REALLY hope this cure storyline doesn't end with Elena going back to being human. Ever since she became a vampire, Elena has been much less of a burden to everyone, occasionally kicks some ass, and finally gets some character development, but she still acts like a spoiled 5 year old brat who can't deal with change. Elena needs 1 thing above all else in this show, she needs to GROW UP! However, we all know Elena is going to be a human again soon enough, she'll go back to being Elena "designated hostage" Gilbert and Elena will once again no longer contribute to anything that happens except as a bargining chip for the bad guy.

Why are we not talking about the obvious foreshadowing in the story? That love story with the witch and the immortal who was locked away,Yea I'm sure that's never going to come up again (sarcasm).
Also I'm a Delena fan so I found the end of the episode made me giddy, however I hate how Caroline and Tyler have this sort of stupid ass plot line. The whole save the hybrids, while noble, I just don't give a shit about a group of ppl we don't even know or spend little time with...Like Chris(or whoever was killed tonight).

So I have not watched the episode yet but I am already having mixed feelings. I LOVE STELENA and want them to be endgame but at this moment I just want elena to be with damon so delena can happen and then be over with. I want Damon with Rebekah so hopefully this "love" aka "lust, longing" feeling delena has will fizzle and I can have the two couples I really want!

TO HeLL with elena............... to be honest i belivee she was holding stephan back, because all stephan did was love her and did everything because of her. now dat stephan is single he should go luk for katrine and they should hook up. most people belive damon and elena would be awesome together but the truth is, she would end up holding damon back too. to be honest damon and elena could be together till the end of the show dat i care, (cause too much people have been dieing for her). my only hope is that the writer dont make stephan misrably over breaking up with elena, cause dat would be just sad. he should move on and forget about elena. for a while now, the love triangle thing has been annoying for a while, and am positive that elena would still end up with stephan (which is redundant and not dat she deserves him). the best part of the show now is the relationship between klaus and caroline, am soooooooooooooooo excieted about dat.( wasnt really feeling tyler, he wasnot relivan

Awesome episode. I love how Elena was finally real with Stefan about her feelings. Stefan has been great to Elena but the spark between Elena and Damon is just amazing. I do ship Elijah and Elena but I'm pretty sure that will never happen so I'll be happy with Damon and Elena as long as the writers stop teasing us fans.
Anyone else missing the crap out of Alaric. I sure am! Probably one of the worst deaths on the show that actually made me mad. I liked Connor and wish he could have stuck around for a little bit but I like Jeremy becoming one of the five ;) this season is getting really good.

WORST episode ever. I don't know how anyone can say that was good. Waste of time. Katherine's "appearance" was a stupid gimmick. Stefan has been NOTHING but good to elena and gets treated like s*** for it. Finally glad that elena has "made up her mind". Hopefully it'll be the end of the triangle and Stefan will move on. The guy needs to show his dignity, he does so much for elena and his bro and gets so much crap. And just to be clear Stefan DID say that he loves Elena either way, they just gave Damon the better line.

When we first met Shane I like everybody else immediately thought ohh this is a bad guy.
Yet I am slowly begining to come around to the idea he may not be a bad dude. I remember when Alaric was first introduced that scene with Jenna "I'm not going to invite you in" of course making me think he was a Vamp.
For some reason after this episode though, as they bring up Damon's neverending search for Alaric-esque drinking buddy I can't help but think that Shane may be that guy. He does have a bunch of the qualities Damon seems to look for in potential drinking buddies haha.
1. He is a teacher
2. He shows up at frat parties with underaged drinkers much like Alaric did at highschool parties
3. He's got some previous knowledge of Supernatural crap
4. Damon and him will def be enemies in the begining with Matt info.
as i said before i'm really loving this season
it seems coherent and the stories aren't all over the place like last season .
the fact that jeremy is a hunter now is intriguing !
i also look forward to knowing how will they tie the professor and the five and the council fire accident thing together !
Also i 'm really loving klaus this season .
