And the worst person in the world award goes to ....Miss Elena Gilbert for being to busy thinking about the right time to just her ex's brother's bones, paying no attention to her only sibling, being the worst friend ever AND moving into her ex's house forcing him to go live somewhere else....Wow, if there was ever a character I hated more than Serena Van der Woodsen, now its this chick.
And it has nothing to with Damon, no srsly, he was a dick all the time so the ending scene was not shocking since Damon's love for Elena is clearly stronger than his love for his brother...
Elena was just awful this episode - srsly, Tyler is loosing his hybrid friends over her, Klaus is still threatening everyone, Jeremy is going insane and Stefan is pushing it...and all Elena is interested in are her feelings for Damon...wow bitch much?
Oh and I ranting about this because the words I have for the idiotic new sire theory are simple unprintable...ugh this show...

i really hope the Elena-sired-to-Damon story isn't true. I dont get why Stefan and Elena are "epic" as Caroline said. I havent seen him fighting for her as hard as Damon has, or accepting her now that she is a vampire. Three seasons now they are building the relathionship between Damon and Elena and Stefan and Elena are static. They are not growing in any way...
so it would be just unfair to ruin Damon and Elena now.
Also, i havent read the books, but from a summary i found in the internet, i dont thin the story is that good. So i hope the writers will do things differently.

I am a delena shipper. I have to say her being sired to him completely ruined the hook up moment in my eyes...
That being said, i agree with the writers. This season it seems they are trying to put more of the original book into the show. They added april, turned elena, and sired her to damon. All happened in the book series.
Where i disagree with the writers is the fact that they created a fire burst of chemistry between damon and elena before she died, which now makes me as a fan feel very jaded. If they wanted to stick to the books thry shouldve made damon the bad guy who forced her to drink his blood or he would kill her sister (or jeremy i guess). The sire made much more sense in the books...anyways, props tobwriters for finally incorporaying the book, but poorly executed for sure.

Gossip Girl writers?! Have you jumped ship to ruin this show also?!
I was never about the ship wars. The Delena thing? Simply good story telling. It was fantastically built and I couldn't wait to see where this was heading.. This was a GG style let down.
I really believed that the writers will ruin this by having Damon hide the cure from her, thus driving her into Stefan's arms. But I thought that they will at least give us some proper storyline for them. But this, this was just making fun of the fans of the show. Sired? Really? Doesn't he like, have to be there!? Like Klaus was?
I'm so upset by this development.. I'e had a lot of problems with the writing on this show, but this is a new low.

I, too was angry at the allusion of the sire thing. But I told myself that it probably means Stefan and Caroline don't accept Elena's choice. They don't want her to be with Damon and maybe this sire thing is the only excuse they could find to explain why Elena would fall in love with Damon. Who says Caroline is right? I like better the explanation that Elena has changed now that she became a vampire. This happened to Caroline too, she used to be with Matt, then when she became a vampire she fell in love with Tyler.

While the sire bond was properly set up, and yes, they did bring it up in Season 3 (remember, the whole issue with Tyler was that he was Sired to Klaus?). However, there has been such a focus on the hybrid sire bond that it was easy to forget it was originally a vampire thing, not just a hybrid thing. And yes, as a Delena shipper, I'm furious with Julie Plec and Co. That ruined the moment when Damon and Elena FINALLY got together. I found their makeout scene in Season 3 when they were at the motel to be more exciting, and more fulfilling as a Delena fan, because the writers at least let that happen for a bit as a moment, without immediately pulling out the rug from under us.

Some things just don't make sense to me. If anything, I'd say Caroline and Stefan seem to come across selfish and this is the reason to as why.
Caroline and Stefan both want Elena to be the 'old' Elena (Although the irony being that Stefan let's Elena make her own decisions and even though Elena told Stefan to let her human self go and this is who she is now, the vampire, he doesn't agree to that and thinks it's the wrong decision!) which means turning her human again from this so called cure.
However Stefan told Caroline that Klaus wants to make more Hybrids from Elena's blood. Caroline didn't object to that. Which means she would let her friend be drained and go through all that pain and suffering so that Klaus can have want he wants and she could/may be falling in love with him. So Caroline would let her friend go through all that so she can have her 'old' friend back? It's the same with Stefan. Does he really think things will go back to how they used to be with 'old' Elen

Okay... The real thing that just KILLS ME in this is that once again, Stefan is again going to be drawn out as "THE" good guy. He is being a real d*ck and totally bitter behind Elena's back, but to her face seems understanding and reasonable. You wanna know the real reason he broke up with her? It's not because she loves Damon... It's because Stefan can't love Elena the way she is as a vampire. It is very sad but true that everyone she loves is turning on her because of what she has become (more herself, in the words of Caroline).... All except for Damon. And it is a sad thing because yes its unhealthy for her to have NO ONE but him, but they're all pitted against new, tougher Elena and want their demure little human Elena that they like to come back. Her brother, Stefan and her friends are all being selfish. Damon is the only one willing to deal with her however she comes and help make it work for her. But being as he is I'm willing to bet he will still make a noble choice concerning

I guessed it way earlier than this! Dr. Fell gave Elena vampire blood to heal her injuries -- Odds were high she had a few vials of Damon's blood for the job, so it's no wonder Elena's turning out to be more like Damon than she wants to admit! This wasn't a cop-out. It was properly prepared by the writers.

We all know the shane history, he is probably the witch who was stripped from his power along time ago, and probably the cure isnt the only thing in there.
Now what hates from this sired bond... sorry arent we forgetting the scene from wickery bride? where he ask her to step aside and she doesnt, plec forgot this, besides and its a lame reason TVD is becoming dumber and dumber,now damon is going to be seen as bad guy... when the diference between damon or steffan is none, both have murder innocent people, but this constant showing that stefan is the good guy please...
I didnt enjoy also, damon who forgot completly he had a brother and stab him. oh you broke with my brother yesterday? lets have sweet love right now, sorry its pretty low even for damon, damon and elena turned into a one dimension characters. Good job

... but I was willing to forgive them after the first hints that Delena might be finally happening, but now I am far beyond angry, since I am sure that they are just trying to artificially drag along this entire love triangle storyline until the bitter end. It's really not fair because they've been planting the seeds for Delena lovestory for quite some time now and now they are all like- yeah, Elena is sired and none of her emotions are real! Way to go! It just doesn't make any sense...
In my opinion the writers should pull their sh* together and either let Damon/Elena storyline have a run for at least one season (Delena fans really deserved this!!!) or break them up once and for all and have Damon find some cooler and more interesting chick then now-finally-mildly-interessting-vampire-Elena (HE deserved this!!).

I really hate what the writers are doing at the moment, trying to make Damon bad guy taking advatage of the alleged "sire-bond" (sorry, but this vampire-sire-bond storyline really came out of nowhere and is a complete waste of creative space) and playing down the emotions that Elena has for Damon. I mean, seriously, anyone who watched the show from the beginning could see how she slowly fell for him and how her feelings for him grew deeper and deeper. That was their intention from the season 1, right? Or have they been misleading us all along the way intentionally? One way or another, they are totally ruining Delena for me - Delena deserves better!
I was acctually quite angry with Julie Plec & Co when Elena chose Stefan at the end of season 3, because I had the impression that she was afraid to chose Damon and decided to play it safe and pick up Stefan(perhaps that episode was simply written badly) but I was willing to forgive them after the first hints that Delena might be final

I disagree with you. This show is based on that love triangle, it is the entire premise of the show! That being said, how could they get Damon and Elena together without really getting Damon and Elena together? Making her sired allows for that and gives us the viewers a reason to want her to be human again, or at least to see the fun of Caroline trying to break her sire bond. Every love story on this show is a triangle, that is what they do and since I have no skin in the game as I don't care who Elena is with since my favorite character is Caroline, I am enjoying this twist. The producers promised us that Damon would go back to being Damon and now we see why both Doppelgangers prefer Stefan. Of course Delena fans have a right to be pissed off because Damon is no longer aspiring to be the better guy. It is truly skeevy to take advantage of that sort of bond, but Damon is a bit skeevy with serious impulse control issues! Ehh, I think it will be fun to watch. Anyway I find Klaus and Car

Even though I think it;s very obvious Stelena is endgame, I think Damon and Elena should have their time together and should explore their relationship because it makes sense right now. Having them be sired to one another does both of their characters a disservice and I hope it turns out to be not true.
I was kind of shocked how quickly they feel into bed together. Stefan was literally just forced out of his home and had his heart broken and they couldn't even wait a day to get it on.

@ Rose : They're just sticking to the story's tone , in the Books her attraction to Damon is portrayed as negative and her and Stefan are this Epic love. It's all in the Books ,sure Julie changes a few things here and there to fit the format of television but she tends to not stray far from plot points that L.J. Smith portrays in her Books.
I understand that some of you think that Delena "Belong" together but I'm here to tell you it just wont happen that way. Dunno if you watch the Twilight movies ,but did anyone really expect Bella to end up with Jacob?
If you read the Books you sure as hell didn't.
In my opinion Plec will have Delena be together for a time until Damon screws it up in some way ofc ,but Don't be surprised when Elena attends College with the "love of her life , Stefan" and friends....

What a shoddy thing to do! Not to mention, untrue. Seriously, why do the writers of this show have it out for Damon? Between the two, he is always putting her ahead of himself and he accepts her whichever way that she is, not to mention that he accepted her choice at the end of the last season without a word. Disgusting!

I dont think that eather of the brothers should be with elena, being that they are WAY too good for her. They have sacrificed everything, even their friendship for her, a girl who cant even make up her FREEAKING mind on who she wants to be with. Im sick of her "thinking" and damaging all the realationships around her, and would much rather have the show talk more about the hunters and all of that stuff.

But, if you think logically, Elena can't be sired to Damon, because I remember that passionate kiss in 3rd season's 19th episode in the motel!

Jerry, I dont think anyone really hated the episode, I think fans are tired of them always making the elena/damon romance something bad.. even though we all know Elena has felt connected to him since she started to see the good in him, even though Elena battled her feelings for him all through season 3.. now suddenly they have to make damon a douche yet again, and using his "sire bond" to trick Elena into loving him. it is a complete copout as far as the storyline goes

I know i'm a complete nut for being so taken in by a show, but another point that hasnt' really been brought up.. how selfish and douchy Stefan has been. He's all "I want Elena bacK" from the very beginning he had issues with her being a vamp, even before she was honest with her feelings for Damon. Stefan, who is supposed to be her soulmate, who is supposed to love her no matter what, can't seem to get past her being a vampire. and to a review below me, I did love this episode.. my issue with the end wasn't neccessarily the sire bond itself, but the preview after that made it seem as if Damon knew she was sired and used it to his advantage. I don't want that to be the case.. let stefan believe that is the case, and then let damon shove it down his throat that he can't accept Elena being a vampire. and also, they totally took my hot delena sex scene and messed it up lol

But I disagree that JUST BECAUSE of this sire storyline it turned out to be a bad episode. Because had they left it out, it'd be a good episode to most if not all of you.

I have been rewatching it from the beginning and now I kind of don't want to because of what they did.. Why allow myself to feel something for a love story only to have it completely sucked of all of its value when it FINALLY happens? I seriously hope that they plan on redeeming this. I know that what the had planned to be a twist or a shocker ending was really only a major disappointment for most viewers and did not rope me in any further. It actually lessened the value of the whole show for me.

I can honestly say I am completely disappointed in the way the episode ended. First of all, while I can totally get the whole "she's sired to him" thing.. the fact is that Elena was infatuated with Damon long before she became a vampire...Also, how does one even go about doing that?? He had NO idea she was going to become a vampire.. it was by chance that it was even his blood in her system the night she died. To make her sired to him is one thing.. to announce in the previews that HE forced a sire bond on her is complete bullcrap. I'm fine with them having her sired to him, because in a way she was secretly in love with him, so her feelings carrying over makes sense.. but turning him into the bad guy yet again.. c'mon Julie... Don't make him the bad guy
Damon: She's strong and crafty and you'll die. Elena: At least I'll die trying.

I dont think that eather of the brothers should be with elena, being that they are WAY too good for her. They have sacrificed everything, even their friendship for her, a girl who cant even make up her FREEAKING mind on who she wants to be with. Im sick of her "thinking" and damaging all the realationships around her, and would much rather have the show talk more about the hunters and all of that stuff.

This episode was epic, indeed!
But, if you think logically, Elena can't be sired to Damon, because I remember that passionate kiss in 3rd season's 19th episode in the motel!
Come on! She kissed the crap out of him and she was human!

Jerry, I dont think anyone really hated the episode, I think fans are tired of them always making the elena/damon romance something bad.. even though we all know Elena has felt connected to him since she started to see the good in him, even though Elena battled her feelings for him all through season 3.. now suddenly they have to make damon a douche yet again, and using his "sire bond" to trick Elena into loving him. it is a complete copout as far as the storyline goes

I know i'm a complete nut for being so taken in by a show, but another point that hasnt' really been brought up.. how selfish and douchy Stefan has been. He's all "I want Elena bacK" from the very beginning he had issues with her being a vamp, even before she was honest with her feelings for Damon. Stefan, who is supposed to be her soulmate, who is supposed to love her no matter what, can't seem to get past her being a vampire. and to a review below me, I did love this episode.. my issue with the end wasn't neccessarily the sire bond itself, but the preview after that made it seem as if Damon knew she was sired and used it to his advantage. I don't want that to be the case.. let stefan believe that is the case, and then let damon shove it down his throat that he can't accept Elena being a vampire. and also, they totally took my hot delena sex scene and messed it up lol

But I disagree that JUST BECAUSE of this sire storyline it turned out to be a bad episode. Because had they left it out, it'd be a good episode to most if not all of you.
Look beyond your Ship people. You too Matt , I sense a Delena shipper in there deep down lol.

I have been rewatching it from the beginning and now I kind of don't want to because of what they did.. Why allow myself to feel something for a love story only to have it completely sucked of all of its value when it FINALLY happens? I seriously hope that they plan on redeeming this. I know that what the had planned to be a twist or a shocker ending was really only a major disappointment for most viewers and did not rope me in any further. It actually lessened the value of the whole show for me.

I can honestly say I am completely disappointed in the way the episode ended. First of all, while I can totally get the whole "she's sired to him" thing.. the fact is that Elena was infatuated with Damon long before she became a vampire...Also, how does one even go about doing that?? He had NO idea she was going to become a vampire.. it was by chance that it was even his blood in her system the night she died. To make her sired to him is one thing.. to announce in the previews that HE forced a sire bond on her is complete bullcrap. I'm fine with them having her sired to him, because in a way she was secretly in love with him, so her feelings carrying over makes sense.. but turning him into the bad guy yet again.. c'mon Julie... Don't make him the bad guy
