I knew it was Dan from the party when GG took back the laptop. I wish they would have been able to do a back story on Dan because really he is the main character even if some didn't know it. I love Dan and wish the show had the balls to keep Dan and Blair together as a couple or as friends, was all Dan feelings a lie? Everyone to me grew up except for Blair, Chuck acknowledge he was a child back then and gave her a wedding she deserved while Blair was again willing to follow chuck blindly put her wants aside just for him she also was still hung up on "one of us" girl honestly you dated that Humphrey don't down talk him now. But whatever I'm happy it's all over everyone's "happy" it started with Dan and Serena as well as ended with them he got his girl.

Bart's death and resolution was super rushed, and unreal. The only realistic scenario would have been to call Bart's death a suicide, for being "found out". That would have made more sense then an "accident".

I also didn't quite understand the Lily and Rufus situation at the end??? That was weird. But really, WHO CARES??

CHAIR is officially canon, and has a cute little boy!! Although, their wedding was super rushed BOO! Couldn't they have had a longer finale??? And was it just me, or were there TOO MANY COMMERCIALS about "The Carrie Diaries"???

I always suspected that Dan may be GG, because he was the "writer" and an outsider looking in. It made sense to me. What I liked is how they revealed it as if he used GG in order to reach out to Serena all those years. I also was surprised by their little wedding in the flash forward.

*sigh* Gossip Girl was not perfect, but damn was it stylish and sexy. I will miss you GG. XOXO

This episode made no sense other than three things:
    1. Chair. Loved. Every. Minute. Of. Them.
    2. Jagina (Jack and Georgina) I laughed SO Loud.
    3. Kristen Bell and Rachel Bilson's cameo.

I don't buy Dan as Gossip Girl. Too many plot holes that surrounds that idea. If he were indeed who they had in mind all along there wouldn't be gaping holes.
I knew Derena was endgame so I'm fine with that.
Nate for Mayor? Seriously? Nate's sexual history would make even JFK cringe!

@ Rosie there is no fight. The losers can continue to cry and lick there wounds. The producers already apologized for doing dair in the retro...when they talked about DB they showed a scene with Blair apologizing for getting humphrey's hopes up. But Dan never cared for Blair, he just helping her reclaim her love for Charles. Dan himself as GG asked about dair, haven't we paid the toll enough for this relationship.

All problems with the show started with the writers ran out of creativity, and decided to create what they consider 'drama'. They believed it made things exciting, when in fact it ruined the show. Nothing wrong with a little drama. A little bit of good drama backed by a believable story makes for far better fiction series. But it's this nonsense, over-the-top, unrealistic 'drama' that never stopped is what ruined the show. Why else come up with this fugitive Chair wedding? Drama. But making Dan Gossip Girl, turned out to be the biggest bs of all. Again, they think it makes for good drama. It's the nonsense 'drama' that killed the show.

The best surprise-pairing of all was Georgina & Jack. I literally squealed over that one.

Thank you for honouring Chuck and Blair and making them canon. Perfect ending. It had to be Dan as GG. It was the only way for him to be part of them. Lets be honest, I always wondered why GG gave a rats butt about the humphrey's. makes sense now.

Loved it, Chair made my whole night and the series ended exactly how I wanted it. I would have loved to have seen Chuck, Blair, and Henry together though, but none the less, when Chuck said my son, ugh, it was so sweet.

This entire series to me has been about Chair and no one else! Will so miss them.

Oh and I wish there would have been MORE show less Carrie Diaries. I felt like that was crammed down my throat ALL night!

I haven't watched Gossip Girl since midway through Season 3, but I tuned in to the final out of respect for the show before it went downhill for me. Nevetheless, I'm going to jump in on the Gossip Girl reveal: I don't understand the motive the writers had for making Dan Gossip Girl. It's just full of plot holes, Dan has asked for help from Gossip Girl, he's gotten tips from...himself, Dan being surprised about Nate and Serena in the S2 premiere even though GG had the scoop on them, etc. I'm all for a clever ruse, but this seems tacked on at the last minute - not something that has been in the cards since Day 1. No matter what the show says.

wow best finalee ever, although, my only small question is, is nate alone with sage or what, i feel there could have been a little more closure to his ending maybe someone could point out that he is single or something. I also loved that olivia burke is starring in ivy's movie, although there should have been some mention of carter. I also loved the scene were everyone seems to have outgrown Gossip Girl, I think it really marked how everyone has matured and how because of Gossip Girl everyone is together

A really fun, crazy, beautiful show to watch. I remember being dazzled by how beautiful the young ones were, now they have a few laugh lines and they survived terrible story lines at times but did a great job with the characters. I feel the writers bowed to the pressure from rabid Chuck and Blair fans. Lonely Boy belonged with Blair at the end. I'll always believe their love story was foreshadowed by the writers from the beginning but, as I said, I just believe the writers got caught up in fan mania and maybe hoped to go out on less than horrible ratings by getting the Chuck and Blair fans back, maybe they even hoped for a resurgence that would give the show a seventh season. I know, I know people don't want to hear this and the writers will never admit it. But just examine for a moment the awful patch job the writers did to bring Serena and Dan back together. There was never a hint in previous seasons these two would get back together. And their re-coupling was just awkward. T

I actually enjoy the finale. I knew it was Dan but it was funny when Blair said she thought it was Dorota. I also found it funny how Dorota made Jack make her a drink because it was hilarious because she is suppose to be the help. Jack is still so hot and good luck to him and Georgina. I am going to miss GG.

The entire episode felt as rushed as Chair's wedding.

Most of the stuff was absolutely ridiculous (Bart's death pronounced an accident after 2.minutes of questioning LOL).

Except the discussion about who the characters thought GG was, which was really great, this finale was a let down, as the last 2 seasons were.

    Farewell, GG

  14. Ashley

    Chuck: Three words... Eight letters
Blair: One word... Three letters... YES!
Loved the finale and good for Lonely Boy :) He finally got what he wanted.

  15. Rosie

Absolutely terrible! Nothing good about the episode except the reveal of Dan as Gossip Girl. Also, the "fight" between shippers will never be over. Don't you know anything about fandoms?

  16. Amy Lynn

I know the show has been rocky, but I honestly couldn't have expected a better finale. Dan being GG was epic!! And they had us believing it was Jenny for a minute and I was like what a letdown!! Loved the shout out to Olivia at the end :) it was kinda sad to see Nate end up alone though. I wish he would have had someone. Chuck and Blair really are an amazing couple. I would have loved to see her maternal side a little with Henry though. Who was the chick with Rufus? And it definitely was a surprise to see William and Lilly together in the end!! The Kristen Bell scene was cute too.

Great finale but there will forever be a void in my Monday nights :(

  17. Jordan

couldn't be happier!! the perfect ending to the perfect series!! Chair & Derena were the right couples, and i can't believe Georgina and Jack ended up together!! Love it!! wish i could have seen more of them as a couple!!

  18. Melanie

A little boring but whatever still cute.
Sad that Nate didn't end up with anyone :/

  19. whateva

First off that Kristen Bell and Rachel Bilson cameo was well played. And dare say I was shock to Vanessa (as Jessica was the one person other than Sebastian who was said to be not returning).

    Henry was effing adorable.
