Rufus is hot I'm watching the beginning of the fourth season when he's irate over Milo being Dan's questioning the birth certificate and wanting a DNA test. I just realized he was the hot tennis instructor that all the girls wanted at the country club in the movie The In Crowd which is one of my favorite movies from high school

It has not been a wk since the end of GG and I'm having withdrawl. I've spent the weekend reliving better times with S1, S2 & S3 because lets face it those were the best seasons. I stopped watching S5 with all that ridiculous Dair drama. But watched the S5 finale in hopes for a promising S6. S6 failed to deliver the greatness of S1, S2 & S3 but it was far better than a failed S5. The S6 episodes could have been a lot better but the finale redeamed the season with the great and epic Chair ending I so longed for. And that cute scene with the litte Henry Bass. I didn't buy that Dan was GG that is just nonsence when you look at past seasons. Dan could be GG if you try to make a case for it. But I don't really buy it. And honestly I think it would have been better if they never told us. After all GG always said "that's one secret I'll never tell".

The show was more about Blair and Chuck. Serena and the rest of the other characters were not as interesting as these two. Sure, Serena, Dan, Nate and the others had their moments, but clearly, it was all about Blair and Chuck. In the end, I never really cared who Gossip Girl was because I was absorbed more with the character and how they reacted to her/him.
I'm going to miss this show terribly. I will no longer hear Kristen Bell's "Rise and shine upper east siders...XOXO!"; the headbands; Chuck and Blair's scheming...even Dorota! I wish they'd produce a spin-off, something along the lines of "The Basses"

Gossip Girl is unquestionably escapist, and it eagerly encourages us not to think about how sordid and sad its characters and stories actually are. That's what romance is.

I was kinda hoping Blair's dad would make an appearance. And I'm really pissed that the show ends on Serena and Dan, because by the time the sixth season rolled around, Blair and Chuck were more central than Serena and Dan, so I just hated that. I also hated both their wedding dresses. But Blair's Derena wedding outfit was beautiful
did anyone notice the big paper bag jenny was toting about in the flash forward scene? J and Waldorf, I think.... does that mean she's designing a spinoff line for Waldorf Designs??

It was an exciting drive of read and write comments about the memorable TV series GG! And it was very fun to hang out each week with all of you who have discussed with me! Miss you - Elisa (I think I did not read your comment for the last episode?), neddi (sorry about Lily and Rufus), Marco, pty, b, G. Singular and others that I did not mention it was fun to share opinions and to hang out with you! Maybe we hear on some other forum, who knows! A special greeting to mm (you were great at the concert), as well as for editors of TV Fanatic!
Of course in the end - Serena and Dan got married! Serena and Dan got married! Serena and Dan got married! Yeeeeeeeeeeee! XOXO

I was a big fan of Gossip girl in the beginning. But after they got rid of Vanessa and brought in the IMO very boring Ivy. I started to lose interest. I was excited for a little while when they brought in a wealthy AA family and Chuck dated Tika Sumpter's character Raina Thorpe. Sadly they were just written off and written out. I even liked Chuck and Vanessa LOL! I watched just the end to find out who was Gossip Girl. Kind of wish they had done something different with the couples. Derena and Chair ho hum. Similar thing happened for me with The O.C. Although surprising they killed off marissa. But I was not a big Ryan/marissa fan anyway but Taylor with Ryan really? I never thought Seth should be with Summer but felt Anna was really his soulmate. The silly storyline of Summer getting into Brown and Seth trying to "sneak in" because he did not want Summer to know he did not get in was dumb.

They forgot to put one thing. We didn't see the reaction of Blair's minions. I would love to see the reaction of Penelope about Dan being Gossip Girl.

I was never a big fan of Serena and I still think Dan is too good for her (and too smart for her), but she looked absolutely amazing in the end.
I loved Georgina and Jack, I think they are match made in heaven.
I am not a romantic but I cried a little when I watched this episode. I remember that when I first pressed play on Gossip Girl I did it without any big expectations. It was like getting a magazine for a bus ride because you forgot a book - something to relax and kill time. And then I fell in love with the characters and I am so glad they all got their happy ending.
