Christina you are my girl! All your answers were the same as mine! My brother and I started to watch this show from day one and when s2 ended he left me alone and keep saying to me "why you still watch that? Is such a cr@p of show!" or sth like "you're wasting your time watching that!" and for the first time I think he was right!(I won't admit it thou) I'll pretending the end was that too...Now I'm sad and gonna miss Nate, Blair' schemes and even Chuck who talking at you so clouser! Not Serena...she's a dumb blondie, I felt sorry for her all the way.

1.Fav scene!
The whole episode! ;) honestly the Revelation scene was so well done. Funny but serious, honest and awesome.
Beside that the Derena scenes were really good, how she got to underdstand him!
2.Dan is GG
I hate to love it! I mean it ruined Dan but it raised him as well. Imagine how sad he felt when he had to write that stuff to feel noticed!
But I'm surprised the writers pulled it off!
3.Chair?
The story was pretty rushed.I don't like Blair being a Puppy around Chuck. The proposal and wedding were well done.
4.Derena!?
Derena where my Fav couple on the show and I was -.- when they started mess wwith them heavily! But they wrote it so I agree with the Saying "I do!".
5.Best outfit!
Jenny rules. Golden Gothic *.*
6.Jenny and Eric
they just had one hour and give them to much focus could dstroy this great final. Jenny could've been involved into the GG mystery cause she knew!
7.Rate it!
In comparion to the season i give it a 10, for a the whole show 8-!

Okay I'm SO glad other people noticed the "J Waldorf" bag because I thought I hallucinated. Also Episode 12 was the "School Lies" episode, what was the clue about Dan?

The episode felt rushed, but it was nice to say goodbye...it was more an homage to the series than anything...loved so many throwbacks, from everyones reactions to toe great reveal- Hizzoner, juliet, lola, agnes, etc- to the steps of the met scene, bethesda fountain, where serena and blair had many tete-a-tetes, to lisa loeb, jenny and eric at derenas wedding, to the ad for ivy and olivias movie, and kristen bell breaking the 4th wall...it was great. I just wished that they had a 2 hour finale instead of cramming it into an hour. I could have done without the retrospective.

I agree with Christina and I'm also going to pretend that GG ended in Season 2. The more and more I saw the show the plots got weaker and the characters got lost on the way. The idea of Dan being GG it sounded good just in the way they wrote the last episode, we could have easily had another explanation of Jenny, Rufus or even Blair being GG, it's just a matter of how you explain it.
On the other hand I think that the small screen time of little J had to do with the fact that she's probably high on drugs and if you put it for more than 2 seconds on screen you'll notice it.
All in all I've been watching this show since day one and it's nice to see the end. Eventhough it kind of hit rock bottom.

No character development. Couples in emotional and possibly physical abusive relationships. Too fast-paced and unsteady writing so inconsistent that it's kindergarden work. Honestly, Savage should be blacklisted.

My favorite scene of the episode:
Serena inside the private jet leaving for L.A.
why? because that's a UES life, Serena's style, want to move to L.A.? call service to prepare a private plane, whenever you want and only for you, oh! and don't forget the champagne, and the best, is that the Golden Girl can cancel the trip when the plane is about to land off.
-If you figure out, in this season 6 they showed a lot of airplanes throw the final episodes

The episode was awesomely funny and rush! I would've liked them to go slowler. The flashback was 10/10 because it gives us a little bit of their past, or much I would say. Loved the happy ending, but I guess we have some
Questions:
1)What happened with Georgina's baby and husband?
2)Did Ivy really leave New York?
3)Wasn't Juliet supposed to be in Connecticut?
4)Will Blair miss visiting Monaco?
5)Who's the owner of the house where they had Derena's wedding?
I suppose:
-Serena, Blair, and Nate left Columbia for good, and be mother, socialité, and bussiness man.
-Lily and William are back together

Saw the last part of ep 12 and totally agree with you. Been watching some old episodes again and i have been catching all these little subtle hints, that i never noticed before.
Truly going to miss gossip girl. It feels like as my favourite characters were growing up, I did as well. Also S and B helped shape my style of fashion with their amazing outfits and headbands. Thank you Eric Damon for that.

ultimate good looking, wealthy UES-ers, and if they had a girl, she could marry Henry Bass. Serena marrying Dan means she still a dumb blonde.
5. Blair's wedding dress was the best outfit. Dan's buzzcut gets Honorable Mention. They must have filmed that last for continuity's sake. You could tell Chuck was wearing a wig at the party.
6. Definately needed more E&J! Speaking of blink-and-you-miss-it, the bag Jenny was carrying said 'J Waldorf', so clearly Jenny's working for/with Blair at Waldorf Designs. CALLED IT!!!
7. Hard to rate: They could've done away with the first hour retrospective and made the finale two full hours - filled in the plot holes left by making Dan GG at the last minute, Eric & Jenny get more screen time, more Georgina & Jack (seriously, what happened to Phillip and the russian's baby?), more of the Waldorf-Bass townhouse........the more things I think of, the lower the score goes.

1. Christina and Leigh picked good ones, but I liked Georgina's comment about Dan being the only one who owned a hoodie, thus making him GG. Also, Sage turned into an office errand girl. Least favorite was Ivy having a best-selling autobiography turned into a movie. If any character needed to fade into oblivion it was her. Also, the plausibility of Nate running for mayor. Did the writers forget the character's WHOLE history????
2. The only one that would've made more sense was if it was Lola, obsessed with the lifestyle she was entitled to but denied by her mother Carol.
3. Favorite Chair moment was Chuck carrying Blair's wedding dress train as they entered the Waldorf apartment after being at the police station. What is it about this dress that everybody's carrying the freaking train (short that it is)?!
4. MISTAKE!!! Serenate was the relationship that kick-started the show, and Serenate needed to be the relationship ending the show. Their children would've been the ult

Everybody keeps saying Dan being GG wasn't planned from the beginning, but in season 1 there was already a clue it was him. I figured out it was Dan at the end of season 5 and due to the summer hiatus i started to watch season 1 again and there was a BIG clue it was Dan! It was in episode 12 to be exactly at the end of the episode, see for yourselfs.
As for the show, I'm going to miss it a lot. It taught me about fashion, it made me believe in true love (even if it's not always the right love and it hurts), it showed that people actually can change for the good, it also showed that an outsider can be the ultimate insider. It made me laugh, it made me cry, it made me angry sometimes too. There isn't a show out there that moved and changed me more that Gossip Girl and I don't think there'll ever be a show again that does the same. I hate endings, even if they're happy, because it really means that I have to say goodbye and can only cherish the good memories it gave me. Even if it is *j

@caela: I noticed the shoulder thing later and I loved it too.
From E! online: Savage mentioned that Bart was psychotic, at least the writers were aware of this.
Someone in the NY magazine recap had said Vanessa's kitchen looked like one from the 70's. Savage said it is the kitchen set for the Carrie Diaries and it's the 80's.
Apparently the DS wedding shouldn't have been leaked, but it was, which kinda amusses me, because it shows how sucky they were at hidding certain things, although I agree with her that they did pull out to keep the cameos a secret.
In the NY magazine recap people were wondering about Serena's career. Based on Savage response, it looks she ends up like Lily, a socialite. It sucks, she could have been a writer or have a movie career, the show hinted at that more than once.

Is it weird that my favorite part of the whole episode was when Chuck and Blair finally made it back to Eleanor & Cyrus' place. In a tiny gesture while sitting on the couch Chuck's arm around Blair and rubbing her shoulder/side arm. I love when my boyfriend does this to me & I think it's just a sweet gesture.
Also, love Dan's flashback! Chuck's scarf & how they wrote that scene. That scene showed how much in talking terms they have grown. Dan's babbling. ha love it!

By the way, chuck and Blair ended the series together with a son hosting Serena's wedding epic one thing that didn't add up didn't Eleanor give Blair their penthouse when she moved to Paris with Cyrus not that owning multiple homes and a hotels isn't chair but I guess after being raised in a hotel Chuck wouldn't want the same for his son which on this show is major character growth

December 18th, 2012 6:19 PM
I got to say the finale was okay. I Lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeedddddd the Chair ending of course that was just perfection especially with little Henry. But everything else was kind of a letdown. Serena should have ended up with Nate and Dan should have ended up alone. Like Dawson ended up alone on Dawson's Creek. Dan was never UES. He should have stayed alone and no one else but the audience should have been told that he was GG and he should have continued to be on the outside looking in. And I never thought I would have missed Jenny and Vannessa so much. They should have been a bigger role. Also what the hell does Rachel Bilson have to do with anything? Maybe I missed her apperance on GG. I know she was from the OC but not from GG. Also Eric didn't even say anything.
1) Chair proposal and where they are all talking about who they thought GG it was.
2) Yes and No. I really thought it would be Jenny. I thought it would be a cop out making it Dan, but it actually was a pretty fitting ending.
3) The proposal. The wedding was sweet, but wished it could have been a little longer.
4) About time , I guess. They really hurt each other over the years, but so did Chair, so why not.
5) Blair's dress in the flash forward. So cute.
6) Of course, I wish it would have been a bigger role. I think they only reason they got Momsen to do it was b/c they played her song.
7) A solid 8 1/2. Wished it would have been longer, the whole episode was too rushed.
