The show is 20+ episodes, and QoH is only the 9th episodes of the season. Remember how long it took us to finally learn the reason why Regina hated Snow so much?
It also has to work with the actors' scheduling: Eion Bailey and Sebastian Stan also work at other shows, especially the latter as he is a principal cast member in Political Animals.
Stories can only be told at their availability.
I'm sure they'll tell those stories soon enough; OUAT is one of the shows that always keep their continunity.

I wanted this final to be so much more! It was good but not excellent!
Emma and MaryMargeret- I love the 2 of them having this amazing chemistry they really connected! And the 2 of them were the Highlight of this midseason. I knew Emma had big magic since she started the Hat in S02E01 and I can't wait for it to develop.
Hook and the Q's- I love their interactions. Each Queens has her own charm. And can't wait for them to face each other. Regina!!!! I love her being The Mom. Parilla did an amazing Job!
Mulan and Aurora- I will miss them, they are all I expected and contributed well to the episode. Aurora could've been a bit more of a fighter but not all princesses Are Snow!?

Given that Cora knew so much of the curse, I wonder if Rumpel shared the designs of the curse to Cora and she refused? Hence why he needed Regina to turn against her mother and play out what he foresaw?

I'm glad my theory, albeit slightly different, was proved true. I didn't expect the Hook angle though; how did Jefferson leave Wonderland is the question that remains to be answered.

I'm really frustrated that the show hasn't followed up with the story lines of many of the great characters from last season (what's going on with Pinocchio/August & Geppetto, the Mad Hatter & his daughter, etc.). I know that not every character can have an episode but why spend 4 episodes running in circles with Snow, Emma, Charming, & Henry each getting lost and reunited. For me, the Snow & Charming storyline is really boring because it's clear that the writers will always have them "find each other". In season one, Emma seemed destined to break the curse to save everyone, not just her family, now it seems like no one else really matters.

At Kate: We don't know if Rumple/Gold can still be killed by the knife. Magic is unpredictable and it would mean him becoming The Dark One. I don't think he would do that. Hook will soon turn to the side of good.
I feel that they will introduce a triangle with Hook Bae and Emma. Bae is definately Henry's father the guy who was with Emma in talahasee or wherever.

Excellent ep. I like that Good "won". And that kiss between snow and darming. Sigh. Can't wait to see how bad ass emma gets with her powers. And how the hell does rump know EVERYTHING

I liked this episode a lot. For once albeit a very brief time good won. Yes Cora and Hook are in Storybrooke. But Emma and Snow are not in the other world and now that they are together they can work together to destroy Cora and Hook. Cora thinks she will have more magic than Rumple and Regina but her magic will be just as unreliable and Emma will be tapping into her own magic (hopefully) and then that will help in the FINAL battle.

loved the episode but slightly disappointed. i so wanted to see Cora's rise to the throne of Wonderland. crossing my fingers they will still show that one day. seeing Cora become allies with some Wonderland characters and enemies of other and the battles she must have fought to become queen oh that could be an epic of its own. so many questions i have still that i hoped this episode would answer. how did she become queen? how did she get her hands on Henry (Regina's father)? from how adamant she was on jefferson making a new hat portal i have to assume she cant travel to other lands from wonderland on her own, so how did she do it?? cant wait for next year thought next episode's title doesnt have me excited. "Cricket Game"? i wonder who that could be about lol. "Croquet Game aka the Further Tales of Cora In Wonderland" would have been MUCH better. sigh. a girl can dream

I did think Aurora was going to say this isn't my heart. Oh well. When Cora initially said she kept her heart somewhere I had a random Doctor Who thought. I am enjoying the idea that someone else who won't be happy to see Cora but might hold the secret to defeating her is Jefferson (but someone needs to give him the belief in himself? I haven't been sure exactly which viewpoint they are taking with Wonderland characters). Still Hook will need to learn soon that Cora probably won't let him kill Gold since she wants to herself (and curiously...I suspect Henry is the only one who might know in this world besides Bae that is what the weapon that kills the Dark One is and the consequences of it).

I can't believe no one has mentioned Emmas heart! What was that about? That was so awesome. She's gonna turn out to be the most powerful person in storybooks. I can't wait until it comes back.

Great episode. I liked how Mulan said she would get auroras heart back then did an brought it back to her it showed how loyal she still is to Philip even though he's dead. When hook gave Mulan the heart it made me realize even though he's the bad guy he has a tiny bit of good in him. It was fun watching Emma kick his ass. When Emma pushed Mary Margaret out of the way and Cora tried I take her heart I knew she wouldn't be able to take but why she wasnt able to take it and what happened when she tried shocked me because I thought it would be for a different reason. I knew that Cora and hook would find away into storybook. Can't wait till it returns in January it should be good.

I felt so bad for regina when henry ran off with emma and everybody else. i was going nooo, invite her too! she deserves it!! i think i understand why she seemingly snaps next week. i liked that they explained how hook got her heart. my friend thinks maybe auroras now got coras heart though. cora almost looked like she believed regina needs her. i hope regina doesnt take too many steps backward just as she redeemed herself.

I am glad we got confirmation for how did Hook rip out Aurora heart and why Aurora part of fairytale land was untouched. Emma whine in this episode too much for me. I am glad that Mulan and Aurora is not in storybrooke because they are boring. I knew that Cora and Hook was going to make it to storybrooke. Now let the games begin.

Despite this episode being better than others recently, I am really finding this show lacking in comparison to last year.
This whole "nice" Regina thing just doesn't do it for me.
I am excited to see what Hook and Cora will bring to the new world.
