Scandal > Scandal Review: Who Shot Fitz!? > Comments Page 3
while that was theory, but Fitz was shot in the head and we know Huck is an excellent shot. Huck was trying to kill him.
I also think based on her protocol works he shot Kagan on purpose too.
Yeah Cyrus was right though Sally was putting the country in danger by ignoring homeland security and being so open. And I don't care how much she hate Fitz, I would be freaking out over this and be worry over my safety if I had no involvement. What going to happen if Fitz wakes up? Does Sally lose her presidency then or we going have a government clusterfuck because she technically usurp Fitz by getting the cabinent's signatures (which I am surprised because that means she could replace them and bar access for Fitz).
@Yoshitoshi that is a good idea of Cy pinning the vote rigging on Sally and Hollis but if this story comes out as Sally/Hollis being in the middle of that scandal, I am not sure the general public will be convinced that Fitz wasn’t in on it either (whether he is in the hospital or not). Cy will never do anything to harm Fitz’s presidency.
The million dollar question is who put Huck up to this? Was he working on his own because he thought the government robbed him of being “normal” and he felt that the only way to get back at the government is to shot the president? Does this mean that Huck will soon leave the show? He is a view favorite!!!!!
I don’t envy Olivia. She is caught in the middle of helping family (Huck) and helping the love of her life (Fitz). How is she going to fix this one?
Your writers are AWESOME!
Huck was the first person that came to mind when the president was shot. After reading some of the reviews, I thought I might be wrong. However, this episode proved me right. Now, why? That is the $64,000 question. I think protecting Liv is one answer. He saw her inner turmoil over fitz and her relationship, but I frankly don't think he liked her relationship with her precious senator. Could he have hired Huck to get Fitz out of the way? Nah nothing could be that simple.
Considering all that the show has done so far, it won't be for any obvious reason we think. But I would suspect it has something to do with Quinn and Liv.
Cannot wait to see the cliff hanger. Great writers on this show. I just cannot believe they would leave the US with that bitch in the white house.
Excellent episode! I think quinn is inadvertantly responsible for huck's assassination because of her research into the night she disappeared off the grid. He realizes that she is putting all of the pieces together and it is only a matter of time before she fully understands the white house role in her scandal. I think his commitment to protecting liv combined with his training regarding "loose ends" are also at play. I agree with the other comments about the red hoodie, for someone who has functioned as a ghost until now, the color red ensures that you stand out. Clearly huck wanted to stand out, but why? What will this mean for pope and associates? Now that her office is under a microscope, her quick and unexpected resignation along with taking the lead on the story following the incident could imply that she was power hungry and motivated by revenge. Never did like the vp!!!!
Nothing like an injured handsome young president (is anyone else a little uncomfortable with this storyline and the name 'Fitzgerald?') to make any new election swing in his favour.
Terrific episode. Lots of answers but even more questions now, just like they promised.
1. Fitz and Liv - Tony and Kerry not only own their characters, they own this show. They are everything.
2. How long has Sally Langston been waiting in the wings for something like this to happen? She wasn't all that concerned Fitz was shot up in hospital bed, she's all about making sure she take office. Damn!
3. The Huck reveal was a shocker but thank goodness it wasn't someone obvious like Hollis Doyle. The next chapter in this arc is to see who Huck is in cahoots with and why. Has Huck been using Olivia as a pawn this whole time?
holy f*%k that was one of the best episodes of television EVER
You didnt even cover Huck this review was terrible.
I had no clue who was the shooter until a few seconds before they showed Huck's face. When we saw his back with the hoodie on, he just looked so familiar. But I still can't figure out why he would shoot Fitz. What surprised me the most is he really tried to kill him, since he shot him 3 times, including once in the head. I agree, Langston was such a bitch to step in the presidency the minute he got shot. She has no respect! But then it's consistent with the chracter. From the start she hated Fitz and their ticket was just a business agreement. Also, nicely done with the flashbacks, we got a lot of answers tonight! Amazing episode from one of the most underrated shows on television.
Also, this could be Fitz's out when it comes to the relationship. If he's not president anymore, he and Liv can be together. I love that he still wore the pin even though he said he was done with her. I know its bad, but if Millie died, pregnant and all, I wouldn't shed one tear. I kind of wish Fitz didnt even have children. His current two are useless to the plot. I agree with Dan, why would Huck wear a bright red hoodie. The CIA is more sneaky than that. Maybe Liv knows about the shooting, that would be a good season ending plot twist.
I think that Huck shot the Prez to help Olivia. People are starting to connect the dots with the voting machines, i think somehow they will pin it on Sally Langston because Fitz is in a coma and nobody hates a person in the hospital. The cabinet is dumb to vote with Langston because when its all said and done, thats Fitz's cabinet and she will replace them. Plus, no good standing VP would take away someone's presidency the day after they were shot. She's a total bitch. I think Cyrus will be out of a job and on a vengeance path. I wouldn't cross Cy. He might help James who will tie the voter fraud to Hollis and Langston because she was on that ticket just like Fitz.
There are many episodes in Scandal when I state my jaw hit the floor but after this episode MY FREAKING JAW LITERALLY HIT THE FLOOR and this show has had be reeling for an hour afterwards. I can't believe it, I can't believe it! Yet it put so many theories out there and its just floating around and that's this show awesomeness!
As for Fitz/Liv Shonda BETTER NOT kill him off bc it will be the death of this show. They exude so much passion and chemistry that they are burning up the screen scandalous. I was watching the previews but dang they left out a few things and it made me watch even more.
I thought Hollis explaining "things" to Liv also helped in her handing in her resignation. Don't you think?
Jeff Perry should get an emmy for playing Cyrus, Kerry and Tony definitely!
Didn't guess Huck as the assassin. I think Hollis hired Huck to replace Fitz with Sally. I'm sure Verna was the go-between who convinced Sally to assume the presidency. Sally will probably fire Cyrus, who will then confront and threaten Hollis.
How long will Fitz be in a coma? Will he be able to get his job back from Sally when he recovers? When does the next episode air?
Kudos, Mr. Halterman for having this up so quickly. Great episode, it answered a few more questions about the show that was troubling me and many others I assume. I was totally shocked to see the shooter was Huck! But, @dan made a very good observation which will probably lead to more details that will be revealed down the line. The pictures are coming a little bit clearer. Scandal and Sons of Anarchy top shows for me!
maybe someone convinced huck he would be helping liv if he took the contract and shot fitz, for the common good. just a thought, see someone put him up to taking those shots at the pres. and what really is interesting is huck is really good at getting away undetected so why does he wear something that really stands out like a red hoodie. does not make much sense to me.
The fact you even was able to write this and have it up after this episode gains alot of respect. No I didn't see that coming (I mean I know Huck is effed up but I really didn't think he would do that because it would hurt Liv) but ish is going down and getting good. Shonda really trying give me attacks.
