I'm not sure why people keep saying Elena kicked Stefan out of his house. Stefan chose to leave. He wants Elena to want him and not Damon, but all Stefan is doing is pushing them closer together. Well that's cool with me because I'm a delena fan :-)
I do think Caroline was being a little over dramatic but this is Caroline, she would do anything for her friends and she is worried about Elena not only being a new vampire but giving her heart to Damon who is the bad boy.
I am looking forward to the mid season finale!

I enjoyed this epiosde.
Two things I learned Tyler is a badass. Ian Somerhalder looks better with sexy bed head hair than he does with slicked back hair a la 1942 flashback.
I hope all the hater from last week that were harping om the sire bond storyline will be happier this week.
Personally I am a Stelena fan but it sure seems that Elena deep down always wanted to be with Damon and the little feeling she had for him when she was human have become super intense. I still do not get how her feelings for Stefan where not more intense either BUT for me this storyline is all working out well. I love this show and have never been dissapointed.
I fear for Bonnie she seems to be putting all her trust in Shane and that will end badly.
One big thing you did not mention Lee was the whole Haley and her parents thing....who of our mystic fall teens is she related to?

I am a new Fan of the show and I think it is very good. Damon is absolutely gorgeous, the chemistry between Damon and Elena is intoxicating and please can someone shut Caroline up?! I am already a Elena and Damon fan but the sire bond thing is a bit farfetched since Elena had feelings for Damon before she became a vampire.

@lala Damon eventually turned on Katherine. He waited for her for so long and when she came back and started to threaten Elena, he turned on her. Lets assume he was sired to her. The only thing that could have broken that was that he fell in love with someone else and it was real and based on so much more than just a sire bond. Maybe that is another way to break a sire bond. Of course that would mean that Elena would have to love someone more than Damon to break the sire.. and currently, we are seeing that she still loves Damon and that it has nothing to do with her sire bond with him.

Damon was in love with katherine when he died with her blood in his system... Does that mean that he's sired to her??? It could explain his obsession with her, the whole trying for 145 years to free her from the tomb, but does anyone remember if he directly disobey anything she said???

Non shipper related-- Anyone else wondering why Professor Shady needs 12 HYBRID sacrifices on top of the 12 Human sacrifices he apparently already did? (Killing the Council). And just food for thought, what if the Hunter's mark requires 12 vampires to be killed to be completed? Something with that many souls sacrificed has to be messing with some seriously dark magic.

Raped Caroline in season 1 come on, she was a willing participant she pulled Damon to have sex with him. Damon did was natural to a vampire he fed on her and made her forget. Saying he raped her nonsense.

Just back off caroline people!!!! she has every right to hate him. And people who say she is being a bad friend- well elena's friendship has been basically non-existent to caroline and bonny since she is too caught up in deciding which salvatore to dally with. And caroline is no hypocrite YET, I hope klaroline doesn't happen for real.

Really loved this episode. I'm a Delena fan. And after last weeks episode I was so dissapointed. But now I have hope again. I do want Damon to say to Elena that he has to let her go. But I hope that Elena's love for Damon will be strong enough to stay with him. Ofcourse I know she will get back with Stefan at one point. But in the end she has to end up with Damon!

oh I'm sooo glad elena is happy and moves stefan out of his home so she can screw his brother in record time- finally after her mere existence put everyone around her through hell she can smile again...
I'm sure her parents would be proud.
this show just pisses me off I'm so done.
frankly, both stefan and damon are mass murderers and abusers, I hope jeremy kills them all, sans caroline and tyler of course.

@Ilk_vomit IKR! elijah and katherine need to appear ASAP! the show desperately needs them and klaus to distract caroline so that she can stop messing up my damon and elena screen time.
and caroline fans, no one is saying she isn't justified but to keep on going on and on and on it becomes tedious. i see where the writers are coming from but then it doesn't make sense that she can accept stefan's treatment to elena when he was ripper again, towards jer and the things he did back then. i'm annoyed that everyone forgets stefan was the one who turned damon. he too never asked to be a vampire. thats why him and elena are getting close.....?

@charlieangles1234 that is such an interesting theory!!! katerina did have a sire bond with the salvadores didnt she! why was this never addressed before! Stefan broke it straight away because he realised she loved his brother too but damon held on to it for over a century wasn't it?
back to the silas situation. why is no one taking this prof guy and bonnie hanging out seriously! why hasn't any witches come by and warn bonnie! he seeked her out not the other way round would no one find this weird! someone help her ASAP. f elena saving more bonnie saving. 4 seasons i have had to endure that enough is enough. silas is drawing on hybrids meaning he wil have an ultimate power. but question why doesn't he just draw on klaus wouldn't that be enough power. and his obsession with tyler. are we missing something....

@strawberryfields omg omg you have hit the nail on the head! thats exactly what i have been saying from day one! stefan loves elena because she is what he wanted katherine to be instead! he is the reason why elena can't live at her own house because he unlocked the hunter in jer (where was he this episode and klaus for that matter) its just frustrating as a viewer to watch that no one can accept that people change when they become supernatural. tyler he went from doucebag to hero. caroline went from self obsessed to loving and kind. etc etc
I just feel that they can't handle the fact that elena finally has a backbone and is enjoyable to watch

I think it may be nice to see Elena fight for Damon for a while. However, I am still slightly clouded by the sire bond thing. Something about her love for him still feels tainted and not quite as real as I wanted it to feel when this finally happened. Even in the way that she needs him more as a vampire. It is not enough for me as a fan for her to choose one brother when she is human and one when she is a vampire. I understand that she needs different things from them in those different times, but it makes her vampire side only seem like a spell that she is under.. Like its not really her, but the curse that is speaking. The salvatore brothers have been vampires from the beginning so we know who they are by now.. But Elena is being made out to be completely different people as a human and vampire and that is still a slight cop out to me. Especially when she had feelings for Damon as a human.

i am fed up that no one can accept that elena has always had feelings for damon. its not even about shipping its been forced on us since day one! caroline should be focusing on the creepy professor because he is silas!!!!!! why has no one noticed but tyler and damon!

Personally, I think Caroline's opinion of Damon is justified. When she was human, he compelled her, slept with her (sorry, but that's raping her) and fed off her. He took away her will and used her. Unless you've been drugged and raped and/or used yourself and managed to love your abuser when you got free...no, that's Stockholm Syndrome. So stop trashing her people. There are parallels in this situation which is why she is reacting so strongly.
I'm not sure the sire bond doesn't affect how you feel. Remember how Tyler felt about Klaus before Caroline forced him to confront it? That went beyond gratitude.
Hi, Lexie! I miss you. Too bad Damon caused your death.
Look, I'm not saying Damon hasn't reformed and doesn't deserve love. I'm saying that Caroline is perfectly justified in hating his guts. And also, the saying "good guys finish last" is often true.

Oh, and one more thing, I forgot. I really liked the whole Tyler and his pack thing. It's finally getting interesting now that he just basically replaced Klaus as alpha male. Too bad the pack will most likey be murdered by Professor Shady...
My problem with the sire bond - if Damon just tells Elena to leave him and move on, that's not breaking the bond, that's abusing it. Just another order she has to obey. So I agree with Leigh, Damon should just be able to tell her to do what she wants, problem solved.
Caroline is totally justified to hate Damon's guts, nobody is denying that. But what she's saying about him is not really hurting him, it's hurting Elena. Would it kill her to be a little less cruel about it? Damon has been there for Elena through the darkest time, does she really need to hear the "man slut" comment? I have to say, when Caroline basically accused Damon of raping Elena and Elena stood up for her man and kicked our favourite blonde out, I was kind of proud of her. Side note: is Caroline’s voice always that annoying or just when she’s interrupting Delena sex scene? Seriously writers, once is bad enough, twice - that’s just brutal.
After Stefan's douchebaggery last week, this week he was kind of cool most of the time. There were few hiccups, like with all that "selfless" talk. It was totally awesome when Damon called him out on doing this for selfish reasons, to restore Elena's "Team Stefan" settings (the best line of the night). And btw, I dare say that for many months now Damon has been the most selfless person in the mix.
Here's my problem with Stefan - for me his whole epic-my-ass puppy love with Elena comes down to the fact that he sees her as the opposite of Kathrine. He thinks the severely depressed "Team Everyone" Elena is the real Elena, so when she does something FOR HERSELF, he freaks out. And I am serious, his "I-need-to-be-with-Elena-or-the-world-will-end" attitude needs to stop.
Damon: She's strong and crafty and you'll die. Elena: At least I'll die trying.
