More surprising: April freeing Rebekah, Klaus ripping out the hearts of every hybrid of Jeremy's physique?
I couldn't care less about April's story-line and Joseph Morgan played Klaus beautifully in this episode, but HOLY CRAP...Steven McQueen has gotten ridiculously ripped...I mean his ARMS!! You could see veins...I was floored..where has that been hiding?!
Caroline ratting out the red hot Delena sex to Stefan: The right move or none of her beeswax?
I don't know. Elena broke up with Stefan beforehand..it's not his business really. Caroline probably thought he deserved to know but what good would it do anyone, really?
Did Damon make the right decision in letting Elena go?
The whole thing is so stupid. The witch in New Orleans said feelings have to be present pre-transition to create a sire bond. Tyler said the bonds have nothing to do with feelings. And she's still sired, just being told what to do. They never indicated that you can actually break a sire bond (unless there is a cure and Elena becomes re-humanized) and the feelings are REAL. Why not just go with it rather than them both suffering?

wasn't enough for her to chose him over Stefan, didn't make her change her mind after remembering all things he compelled her to forget. So it's Elena's turn to convince him that it's real.
3/ i'll go with Miranda's answer. and TBH if I didn't knew that she was turned by Damon's blood I'd have thought she's sired to Stefan.
5/I was shocked by Jeremy's body, I was terrified by Klaus' massacre and I was really surprised by April freeing Rebekah.
6/ Definitely A. I really loved the first half of the season and Caroline and Stefan delusional and irrational and judgmental attitude won't change that.

1/ There is alot but I'm gonna say Damon's (along with and without Elena) scenes.
2/ If it's up to me I'd say "no no no no did I mention no" but it's not. And as much I hate it and broke my heart I can understand Damon's action. No matter how hard he wants to believe that Elena's feelings are real he just can't and that's understandable, all he got for all his existence was being rejected, heartbroken, and every small hope turn to be a disappointment, he believe (what people keep telling him) that he isn' worthy for her love, that he doesn't deserve her, that he's wrong for her so what would change that ? and Elena telling him that it's real and that her feelings are the same won't change the fact that when she was human (un-sired to him) those same feelings didn't stop her from rejecting him,
Klaus kill Mayor Lockwood. Not because I wanted to see her go, but because Joseph Morgan played Klaus so well..so cold, so evil, yet so sad...

I think the season is fine so far. Delena might not have worked immediately and perfectly, but it will. I don't think they ll go down the triangle way again; they will just keep Damon and Elena at a suspense for a while, which is fine. And the rest of the characters make more sense, have better storylines : Tyler, Jamie, Klaus, even that little girl freeing her best friend Rebecah - she heard it from Caroline on the phone by the way, not unreasonable at all. The only thing I am not feeling at all is Tyler and Caroline, I would like to see a way towards Klaroline!!

My favorite scene would have to be both when Klaus killed all of the hybrids and when Klaus drowned Mrs. Lockwood and any scene with Klaus in it. I think that the war between Tyler & Klaus will definitely get more intense and personal than ever before. Evil Klaus is Awesome, Amazing, incredible, fantastic,etc.This was an very cool mid-season finale!!!! I like the way Klaus was ripping out hybrid hearts, decapitations, using the sword that he used to kill alexander in the 11th Century. I think Tyler may be Klaus's next victim!!! Tyler better watch out, because Klaus is going to be coming after you!!!!

Lmao Caroline being a 'GOOD' friend right... Damon didn't immediately let Elena go because he was trying to figure things out. As if it's SO easy to let the person that you love a lot go. Caroline really had NO right telling Stefan about Damon and Elena. Even Elena said that she wanted to figure things out first before telling Stefan. Caroline ended up blurting it out because she ASSUMED that Damon wasn't gonna let Elena go which he ended up doing anyway so... So up Caroline's ass, how does her shit look like from up there???

Moving on, worst episode EVER. Really dislike the writer who came up with the sire bond crap. Damon and Elena didn't have the moment to themselves cause they kept getting interrupted by Caroline's whining and Stefan's adamant 'cure Elena' act ugh. I was bored the entire time I was watching the episode, I don't even want to watch the episode again which definitely says something about the episode. Hope they are able to do something to rectify the next episode since they have quite a period of time.

What Damon did to Caroline was bad, yes but I think he's redeemed himself I mean how many times has he saved her ass? And her beloved friends? Albeit, he did them reluctantly but he still did. He helped her mom with the whole compelling her to forget. I agree, her hate for Damon and all seems forced like it came out of nowhere. I'll like to point out that she felt SORRY & GUILTY for Klaus who killed her best friend's aunt and boyfriend's friend but Damon who did that EONS ago, she hates? Doesn't make any sense.

1. Klaus killing all hybrids and then drowning Carol Lockwood to the sounds of Christmas music. Great stuff! These scenes sent shivers down my spine.
2. NO. This was written badly as well as the entire sire bond nonsense. His chosen wording doesn't make any sense. He should have told her to act upon her free will or something like that. C'mon! Damon is smarter than that "go home and stay away from me" line.
3. Whatever- I don't care. Acctually, I like that Stefan knows about it. This season he and Caroline (and normally I adore Caroline) have been inexplicably annoying. Stefan's gonna suffer now - payback's a bitch!
Grade: C - started out with so much potential, then took a radically wrong turn and ended up being a major let down.

I'm giving this season and E for Effort. There was effort to turn it around in the first few eps and then that idiot woman Julie Plec did her 'magic' and ruined the show. Hopefully it picks up pace next year and superceeds season 3.

What are all the Klaroline fans going to do now that Klaus killed Tylers mom? Caroline can never overlook that even if her and Tyler break up, after everything they have been through together. I feel like Caroline and Stefan should hook up. As much as I love her and Tyler they can't trust each other, seeing as Caroline has twice now picked the cure over him. Also I think its pretty ridiculous that Stefan and Caroline felt bad for Klaus after everything he's done... and then saying the reason he is the way he is because he doesn't have a family he can trust... the only reason he is alone is because he repeatedly kills his family members.
Tyler is by far my favorite character and I love his story line. I'm happy him and Klaus are now waging war. It should make for an interesting second half of the season.

Anyways I'm sick of this sire bond regardless of what team your on it's just pissing everybody off, I mean I love you Julie Plec but come on! So anyways even though I've been a Stelena fan since season 1, I sincerely hope in episode 10 that Stefan says "Go fuck yourself you just slept with my brother!" and just is done with her. I honestly think any man on the planet deserves better than that, I mean it's his brother! That's just wrong, if someone ever slept with both me and my sister I would do bad things to them like Klaus style bad.

I loved the music in the episode! Especially the sad melodramatic christmas song as klaus tore out hearts... an irony because christmas is supposed to be family and bonding...and yet klaus is left all alone, killing all his hybrids after reminding stefan of his rippah days..
