90210 Review: Who's the Psycho Skank Now?

by at .

Liam has been locked up in the basement of the offshore for about a month now... but, damn, he still manages to look good!

Of course I'm just kidding, as "Misery Loves Company" took place only briefly after the 90210 fall finale when Liam's crazy bodyguard first kidnapped him.

(NOTE: I wasn't kidding about Liam looking good, I never kid about that.)

As this week marked the return of our favorite CW zipcode, it also marked the first time I actually liked Vanessa's character! That's too bad, though, since she's probably going to jail now. But, hey, at least she redeemed herself. We'll see if that lasts, won't we?

I'm a lot of things but a kidnapper, a murderer? Get real. | permalink

Leave it to the original crazy stalker of Liam's to point out that a studio that won't reimburse for a mani/pedi would never shell out for a personal bodyguard. Vanessa also identified that Ashley had purchased surveillance equipment and had it shipped to a place that had been vacant for the past year. I guess her nuttiness came in handy after all. Liam's safe, but now Annie's not.

I really try not to get involved in all the shipping wars, but honestly Liam and Annie always find their way back to each other. She just took a damn bullet for the guy and I'm going to guess this is going to bring them even closer. I gotta say, I don't hate it. I really don't. Maybe it's finally "Lannie's" time? We need to see some kind of happy relationship on this show with all the other couples in total disarray.

Dixon and Ade are totally over. Even worse than hearing your ex hates you is hearing that they just don't care at all. Hating is a powerful emotion. You can't hate someone who you really just don't give a crap about. Sorry, Ade. Hey, at least biker boy was cute?!

My favorite part of this episode was probably when Naomi showed up at her mother's door. I don't know why, but in that moment when her mom first swung the door open I got such an old school 90210 vibe. As in the original version from the 90s, not just 90210 season 1 when our characters parents were on the show. I've always wondered what happened with Naomi's parents and why she had completely cut off with her mother when her dad was the one who broke up the family.

That was a sweet, honest and raw moment involving the Clarke women. Naomi is often the comic relief on this show and she's always trying to clean up everyone else's lives. It was nice to see her lean on someone else for a change. The only thing I want to point out is that I feel like Naomi has done nothing but work on her marriage with Max, so it's not like she's not fighting for him. It seems like he's the one who's not fighting for her.

Easily the worst part of this episode was Silver. She is so much smarter than she's acting. Going to Teddy's a-hole of an uncle to try and get help with the custody case? Horrible move. Why would Teddy want to listen to a relative he isn't even close to and has been against Teddy's lifestyle from the get-go? Then she forged Teddy's signature? Oy, there will be no good coming from any of this.

Next week, Annie will probably be in and out of consciousness from the gunshot wound and we'll get to see what would've happened if she and Dixon had never left Kansas in the first place. I'm sure it'll be fun, but I'm dying to find out what happens next!

I wasn't expecting 90210 to have an episode like this anymore. Ok, i enjoyed season 4 and 5 so far, but this episode was like even better that 90210 on its prime days! Naomi getting emotional was really emotional for us too, and the scenes with her mother (glad she was back) was great! Annie-Liam-Vanessa-Ashley scene was great too (loved Vanessa)! Don't care so much about Dixon, but good for Ade to be free from this stupid contract. Naomi and Ade's small trip was like season 3 all over again. Silver's behavior, when Dixon told her that she was not ready to be a mother was very realistic for someone that wants something so bad! I am on Silver's side about Silver-Teddy thing. Teddy was like her best friend, he shouldn't behave like that. What Silver did in the end, with the fake signature of Teddy, was a move from a desperate person (someone like Silver at this time). I don't blame her, for wanting so badly to be a mother, having in mind that in the near future she may be not be able to do this. Overall, an incredible episode! Go 90210, go!

Silver isn't intent on just having Teddy's baby; but she went through a whole egg-harvesting routine which took a good deal of time and effort and every viable egg was spent on trying to make an embryo with Teddy's sperm since at that time Teddy was fully on board with just being a sperm donor! TEDDY is the one who has turned into the putz here, not Silver! He's changed the deal. And he has millions of sperm - but her eggs - and time - are very limited! She may not have any more eggs if she has this treatment. She gave all she had to those embryos!

    - Naomi's mom looks younger than her. oopss.
    - Liam-Annie-Ashley another lame scene. We all know Annie will NOT die! next!
    - Rita Ora - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
    - Dixon - Megan - Ade - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
    - Silver - Teddy !#&@&%$!@#%@$%%@#$!@#@#!
    - I also like Vanessa. She's more interesting than Silver.

This episode was GREAT! Ade's face when Dixon was like "I don't want to have any feelings for you" made my night. Even though Annie upsets me I teared up when she got shot. I hope she'll be okay! She's a damn good character on the show! Does this mean that their mom is going to be a guest again?

Silver is so damn stupid and selfish! Now her and Teddy's friendship is all fizzled out! I don't blame him for being done with her. She should see that all signs are telling her NOT to have this baby. Now she's done some illegal stuff and is probably going to pay for it in the end. (also, where the hell is she going to raise this baby? I hope not in that microstudio she calls home!)

Naomi is always my favorite character. She's fought so much for Max it just can't be over between them. She should take her butt to Iceland and get her husband back!

90210 is ON FIRE! LOVED the Lannie ending, and Vanessa and Annie were interesting partners -for once I actually liked Vanessa... I also loved Ade and Naomi's roadtrip, they were always fun friends to watch. It was nice to see Naomi's mom again -adds some realism to the story (instead of EVERY parent being awol, leaving only the "kids" to take care of EVERY problem themselves, that just doesn't happen...) Dixon was a douche, but at least not for long. And is it just me, or does it seem odd that Silver is so intent on having Teddy's baby? Why not just get an anonymous donor and save all the hassle and signature forging? -just my thoughts ;) -also: Max should give Naomi a break, she's a hot, doting wife just trying to do the right thing, as her "loving" husband, he should be able to see that, and not just run away...

    Good episode.
I liked Naomi and her mom, when the biker was talking to her, I didn't think she was actually going to see her so I'm glad she did. I think is good they are bringing back old characters, it makes the show a little more realistic. But didn't she recently discovered that Alec was in love with Max? I thought she' d be busy worring about that. .-.

even though he was only in like one episode.
