  1. Dr. Evelyn Vogel, a neuro-psychiatrist in her late 50s who specializes in profiling criminals.
  2. Jacob Elroy, a cop-turned-private investigator.

It's not hard to imagine how either of these characters could be used to track a certain serial killer and his sister as Dexter heads into its final run of episodes.
