If you take this show seriously get the season 2 DVD and watch ep 1 commentary with Grace, Daniel, Alex and Peter. I laughed so hard I cried at parts of the commentary, they talked about Scotts hair (he wasn't there) several times. They talked about what a coincident it was that the policeman in the restroom was the same size as Steve, and that Maxs roommate also just happened to be the same size as Steve. It just sounded like they love what they are doing and don't take themselves to serious. It changed the way I view the show.

Very disappointing episode after the wonderful Sunday one. The show is all over the place with quality. The whole custody case was rediculous. What mother wouldn't show up for a custody hearing and what judge would grant joint custody without hearing the mothers side. So poor Grace will be dragged back and forth between both parents. Dreadful. I usually love Wo Fat but his storyline is becoming lame now. Danny is as inept as ever when it comes to Police work. Dreadfull episode.

Im with DeAnn I guess some fans take things too seriously or by heart regarding details that others do not even notice on scenes and for them it makes an episode bad. SOme now say that this episode fails it was bad becaue Danny could not hit Wo Fat and he lacks shooting skills, etc etc Then on Sundays episode at other sites I read that the episode was too violent.
So if some of u have better ideas you better go and tell Peter or the writers your suggestions so they can take it into account.

I know I am in the minority here but I'm starting to get bored of Wo Fat is always that cat and mouse game between him and Steve catch this guy and throw him in jail for good. Now it looks if Five-O are a bunch of fools who are not able to find a men like Wo-Fat on a Island. He is a fugitive on the run and can hang out in a bar???? Come on!! this is ridiculous.
Missed Catherine in last night episode!!

Actually this episode came too soon after a spectacular one on Sunday whenever CBS decides in the future to give us an episode on Sunday after a football game, they better shows a repeat on Monday! Now we are on a break till February 4.
The major problem for me is that Peter Lenkov and Co has screwed up the episodes so much this season 3.13 was supposed to be 3.10 so I lost track about the storylines and that is why we didn't saw Chin recovering from his injuries he suffered in jail. And kono's investigation into Adam.
The episode was okay Loved the McDanno scene’s, Danny speech was cute in a way only Danny can say it and was nice to hear from Steve what a wonderful father Danny is and that Danny is his closest friend he has. The hug was adorable I am happy Danny won and Gracie stay's on Hawaii.
I absolutely loved seeing McG in his uniform Alex looked dam! HOT in it!!

I am with Mrs Clever about H5O, you can't expect a TV show to be too realistic, it is there for entertainment, period. And this ep was seriously entertaining! Alex O in uniform...drool, swoon, rinse, repeat! And I loved Danno and Steve's bromance moments, and how they had each other's backs in the courtroom. Nice speech by Danno about his daughter, but there were several tear-stained moments in this ep. And I also found it a bit bizarre that Wofat is bullet-proof, and throughout being shot at never got a scratch. But I could not get enough of the guys in this ep, they're all pretty cool, and the Hawaiian scenery is so gorgeous you can't beat it for an evening of entertaining mental getaway

Sorry but why you all get affected about Danny shooting skills and now u all say u dont like the episode because of that and also that u dont like that Wo Fat was there? I did not even notice that flaw I was just enjoying the episode and the action scene.
Peter and the writers are trying to please all the fans in different aspects in the several episodes so far that had been aired and still he cant get it right.

I don't usually have a problem with the unrealistic aspects of the show, but this episodes actually had some eye-rolling moments for me. I thought the whole tie-in with Wo Fat was fairly ridiculous. And he's a well known fugitive who's just hanging out at a bar? And then the whole end scene, with him on the ATV and Danny not being able to make any contact while shooting, so once again, Wo Fat escapes into thin air. It's getting a bit tough to swallow.
Of course, the court room scene was adorable, but they lost me after that. And where is Doris?? The season is more than half over and we've seen her in maybe 4 episodes? I thought she would be a big part of this season. I think there is a lot of missed opportunity there.

I was confused at first with the chief of staff and the prostitute looking so much alike, and then the govenor's hush-hush attitude in sending 5-O out blindly looking for a killer without all the details. 5-O...1; govenor..0! As the story unfolded, with everyone involved from the "team" it became less confusing, but caught on immeditely that the political opponent was behind everything from his first scene. @Gary and others...if you've ever been in a helicopter it moves around a lot...doesn't excuse Danny's not able to hit Wofat (who I did not see in the opening), but he should have wounded him with some of those bullets, and remember, 5-O is a 4 person team, w/Chin recovering and not Kono's week for heroics, so it was up to our duo! Loved the Court scene and the govenor's realization that H5O are his elite team and he does owe them honesty to do their job!

I really liked this episode!
However it was a little odd that there was no mention of Adam as just one episode before that storyline was picking up.
I am so happy that Danny won the custody case to keep Rachel and Gracie in Hawaii! Steve testifying on his behalf was funny and great! Alex in his dress blues...YUMMY!
You can tell that it was a tough choice for Steve to not go after Wo Fat, he would never let a civilian die but the look on his face and in his eyes you can see a split second where he was thinking about it!
I loved the ending when the Govenor came over to Steve's house that was a great ending!

Can't watch this show expecting reality peeps, cause you'll go crazy. Just enjoy the scenery, both human and Hawaiian.
I'm surprised Jim, you didn't pick up on that little short legs in the suit belonged to Wo Fat, it was my first thought.
Decent episode crimewise. LOVED the tie scene and the courtroom. Didn't miss Rachel not being there either. Mama McG's been on an extended vacation, not sure how I feel about that, I now sort of like her sneaky nastiness. But I'm sure she'll be back soon.
Just glad H50 is back with it's Season 1 style fun.

I liked this ep, but not as much as the past couple still kept me entertained and that's all I care about. I never liked the Gov before, but he turned me around a little last night. Fortunately for Wo Fat Steve took Danny instead of Kono or Wo Fat would be history.

Liked the show except the ending. Like others I thought it was too fake and really looked it! I cannot believe you would only send 2 guys in a helicopter to save a congressman! Come on give me a break. And why couldn't Steve land between the congressman and Wo Fat. Otherwise good show.

4 comments:1. Agree with everyone that Danny is one lousy shot. In the original Jack Lord capped a guy from a helicopter with one shot from his snub-nose .38. 2. Chin is a fast healer. 3. Steve doesn't seem to be too concerned with Wo Fat's return sharing a brew with the governor at the end. 4. If CBS schedules the season finale like last year on the 2nd Monday in May, that leaves 16 Monday's for 9 more episodes. So lots of repeats coming up.

Yes, I understand what you are all saying about the shooting, I thought the same thing, but the rest of the episode I thought was great. I absolutely loved seeing McG in his uniform, and the scene with them waiting outside the courtroom was classic bromance. Glad to see that the Govenor isn't as much of a jerk as they portrayed him. Hopefully he is an honest one and Five-0 has won him over. I did recognize the voice of WoFat in the beginning, but then I had expected him in this one, so I was kind of waiting for it. I love Mark Dacoscas' Wofat, he is truly evil and played very well. I was surprised to see a helicopter rescue two days in a row, but you can't capture Wofat, he's just too good a villian. I assumed that Danny would eventually get Grace, but I was thrilled they did not drag that out. I love Scott's Daddy moments, always shows what a good actor he is.

The episode was great! The marksmanship, not so much. How can anyone not get at least wounded let alone survive a hail off bullets coming from a "fully" automatic weapon by hiding behind a little quad runner. I really love this show but that was the most fake scene they ever put in the can. There's got to be a better way to keep Wo Fat around. Please don't do that anymore...

Well, this episode was not as good as yesterday one. The story was too convoluted. Also Danny and Wo Fat are terrible shooters.

I liked the episode but how can Danny miss wo fat he shot so many times and still missed. Am thinking maybe they want him in more episode.

Kevin.....I thought the same thing about Danno's shooting skills. But I LOVE that Bad Boy Marc Dacascos.....so it's all good, cause that means more Wo Fat in upcoming episodes :)

@Malahini, the beautiful girl in the beginning was the chief of staff of the captured politician. ( the girl is played by actress Stephanie Jacobsen.) She survived the first scene with Wo Fat......But when she was with Steve and Danny she did got hit by a sniper....hopefully she survived too..
