@Entwife...Yes, I love that part with Jane catching Lisbon. Made my shipper heart do a dance. I never thought she would faint either, but those flesh eating bugs were gross. I can't wait for this ep.

@KM...TGW has enough eps for syndication but no deal yet. I sure hope CBS saves The Mentalist and hopefully switching the two will show CBS that it is the "better show".

  2. Entwife

The promo does look great, ACE! Especially when Lisbon faints and Patrick notices and rushes to catch her. Never figured her for a fainter, must be the living spaghetti crate of bugs. The Mentalist Fan Facebook page put it out, and also a link to a blurb on episode 5x15, to be shown March 3 "at a special time." That means 2 weeks between 14 and 15. I'd like to bite CBS.

Huisclothes, I design T-Shirts and my guilty little pleasure was designing my own Mentalist T's. They turned out really good! No! I did not infringe on any copyrights!

Thank's KM and anitraward1 for the explanation.

    @ bonaduz,
Hustler has multiple definitions. In this incident Cho was saying that Jane was a swindler, because a con man uses unscrupulous or fraudulent means to obtain money. In this way the word is being used as slang. Another slang definition would be to substitute for prostitute. The word also has more positive definition. We can describe a person who is a go-getter, determined to be a success as a hustler as well. Baker is hustling "Breath" to get it filmed.

  6. anitraward1

That was me Entwife, I was looking for clues in names.

  7. anitraward1

A hustler is like a pimp! He will do anything for money. He does not care if the other person gets hurts, as long as he gets the M.O.N.E.Y!

No way can they make Jane Red John. I know someone on here broke it down even that Jane is a feminine variation of John. I would be totally insane with anger. It would be like when they killed off Catherine in that old Beauty and the Beast tv series. That twisted me for about two years, had to write my own script for a tv movie fixing the whole damn travesty. I still haven't forgiven the writers. And now all three of them are writing the new series, not even close to as good as the old one btw. Anyway, I can't even think it, that Jane would be RJ.

  9. KM

    @huisclothes
No. I think the worst they might do is kill most of them and leave the rest going to pieces. I hope not. I'd rather Lisbon help Jane kill him, strike a blow at the house of cards that the FBI/CBI, and they both have to find new employment. Sometimes I find myself think of the cut scene from the pilot. You know it, right? Lisbon is "little Miss Fierce" and she tells him she is scared. I wonder if that is where the show is headed, except St. Theresa is going to be very present.

About Patrick Jane's cup and saucer for sale . . . I BOUGHT THAT SET! Ha ha, I love it! Guess what the color is? PEACOCK! ha! perfect. So much fun.

I love episode 5x5. And I love that scene that ends with Lisbon saying Bite me.

@hisclothes.. I thought that Jane was John at the beginning of the series...say before season 3 ended. However, I don't think they will go this route now. Too many people have speculated that Jane was Red John with a split personality type of thing plus, I don't think they could write it to make sense now. Too many clues, situations, others knowing who Red John is, not to mention Jane shaking hands with him "confession". Also, like anitraward1 said, too many people (probably 99 percent) would hate the idea of Jane being a killer. I would accept him being in a metal institution and all of this being in his mind before I would accept him as a killer. Btw, any one see the extended promo? LOOKS GREAT !!!

  12. anitraward1

4 MORE DAYS PEOPLE! HANG IN THERE! STOP THE HATE SPEECH! LOL!

  13. anitraward1

I don't think they would do that because it would upset the viewer's They would also be breaking the trust of the viewer's. And you know like I know, the next time you saw Heller's name on a script, you probably wouldn't turn the page! You need viewer's to have a hit show! That reputation would proceed them for the rest of their career's. Baker would never let that happen. I'll bet my keyboard on that!

  14. anitraward1

That would mean we spent all this time and energy admiring a creep! No thanks. That would mean he killed his own family. That's nasty! I would throw my series out that could damage Baker's career.

  15. anitraward1

Huisclothes, you made me choke on my dinner!

Getting back to quotes and english lessons: In "fugue in red", when Cho and Jane are in the burnt down house, looking for the little girl's doll, Cho says, that Jane is just a hustler. What is a hustler? I looked it up, but it doesn't really make sense for this particular circumstance.
KM: fancy coffee your drinking! My favourite is Latte Macchiato, wich I buy once in a while, when I'm in town. Out here in the bush I have to make my own plain old coffee. (At least I have power now and even high speed internet - wasn't always like that!!) So far I only drank tea when I was sick, but who knows - I might change my ways thanks to you guys (and Jane of course!). It's definitly healthier then coffee!

  17. huisclothes

welcome back km. glad my tea choices are not horribly jejune.
just sitting around and i got this nauseated feeling. here's the reason. if it's ending this year and if they want to blow our minds and turn us inside out so our organs are just hanging there (which i think they'll want to do), maybe patrick jane is red john.
i have never thought this before. and still don't think it. but if they were cancelled - and wanted to go out with a huge bang - and didn't have to care what the repercussions of the fans hating them were - and knew it would be an amazingly powerful episode -- and they could figure out how to make it sort of cohesive -- i shudder to say this, but do you think they would do it?

  18. KM

This video has a number of my favorite episodes. I believe I like Robin Tunney has much as I like Simon Baker.

    @huisclothes,
Now I am back from the tea shop. I love Earl Grey and English Breakfast, not boring.

@ bonaduz, I drink both coffee and tea. My Moka Bialetti gets me started each day. Sadly I haven't mastered the cappuccino yet, but I've succeeded in getting the Australian flat white down. As the day goes on I drink tea. My eldest is the major tea drinker. And... Yes, maybe not intill May. Perhaps March, though.

I love the quotes. I saw a cute video of quotes on YouTube. I'll have to look for it.

  20. mimi

right I'm off to bed! good night everyone! (or day)

  21. mimi

ahah no it's not corny HC!

yes Jane is less flirtatious, well it depends, I have to rewatch them all cos I'm at a stage where I don't remember what epi is from what season (in my mind) like I remember the epi but not the season, except the obvious ones..

but it was high time he got laid for god's sake! what man would stay single for ten years seriously? lol

  22. huisclothes

think huis clos means "no exit" in this case.

  23. huisclothes

yes, the sartre play, huis clos. clothes is just clothing, vetements. i'm into fashion. so it's a play on words. i guess, a pun. but i hope not corny.

  24. huisclothes

yes. that was another great example of what i'm talking about. actually, most of those lines are from season 1 where he was flirtatious. he really isn't anymore. guess he can't flirt with lisbon without coming off kind of creepy after 5 years. and he doesn't do it with other women. just lorelei at the beginning when he said, "i'm not the great catch you might think i am." I think the writers made a decision to make him the monk-like patrick from season 1 on. makes sense or you really might think, what's wrong with that guy? when is he going to put the moves on these women?

btw, i have two nicknames for the series, the first is "menty" the second is the punumalist. punum is the yiddish word (used often in ny where i live) for face. like "what a punum." what a great face.

  25. mimi

    thanks HC :-)

a play on words? erm... I was intrigued at first cos huis means home in Dutch and I read huis/clothes.
it's probably the expression à huis clos, right?sthg like that? or am I going the wrong direction here?
and who is clothes (d) in english?
