to continue broadcasting from the shallow end of the pool. i think emanuelle chiriqui is very pretty but i always thought she had a tiny drop of jersey shore in her looks and her attitude. perfect for her role as lorelei. tough girl. a busty girl who looks like that should err on the elegant side in her clothes. so when i saw what she wore to the 100th episode celebration, my mouth dropped open. a tight dark red leather flared mini dress and grey platform high heeled pumps. what did she raid snooki's closet?

@km i think 5'4' is kind of medium height. bet robin is more 5'1" or 5'2." i'm 5'6" and naomi watts looks my height to me. my husband is 5'10" like simon. in high heels i'm just as tall as my hub. just as naomi is just as tall as simon in her heels. so i'd say robin is shorter. i have a sister who's just 5 ft and she appears the same size as robin.

I agree with you about the shoes. I thought the dress Robin wore to the 100th celebration was more flattering on her. According to their bios Naomi is only 1 inch taller (5' 5") than Robin. Perhaps Robin is not 5' 4" as her bio says, but Owain said in an interview that he was a full foot taller than her and he said he was 6'4"? By the way, I'm too tall but I thought that 5' 4" was too tall to be considered petite. Especially since the average height of a woman in the US is 5' 4.6". If that is the actual average height for a woman in the US then Robin Tunny is not even truly short? Right? I think you are more knowledgeable about fashion than I am.

re: shoes. yeah. those shoes were way too high for that dress. she should have at least self-tanned her legs as a public service. petite women often don't realize that really high shoes can make them look short. like too much of their height is heel. but that dress was too casual for high heels - especially on a grown woman. on a teenager, could be cute. that was a dress for flat beautiful thong sandals. but an award ceremony was the place for neither.
she should wear something like what naomi wore. then it would have shown her great shape. and she could have worn pumps as high as she wanted. but i would have voted for hair up or back to keep the elegant line. naomi could go with hair down because she's got 3 inches on robin. by the way i love rebecca's off camera clothes. flat thongs, straight pants and cotton peasant-y blouses (my summer uniform). i don't think she does dressed up too well.

@huisclothes While I did not like Robin's dress much, too short in front, her knees are not her best feature, at least not framed by that dress. the real problem was the shoes. They were WAY too high for that dress, the styles just did not match to me.

When you watch the walk of fame ceremony you can here his wife say that the camera makes the boys, especially the youngest, uncomfortable. That they are like her that way. Maybe it is all the hollering to turn right, turn left, et cetera. Because in that now removed Going Troppo (about Tropfest and John Polson) she was delightful, relaxed, and very real. By the way there are some really touching snaps of her watching Simon's speech.
Re Robin's dress it looked lovelier in some snaps and others not so. I think she looks best form fitting clothes. Her outfit at the 100th celebration accentuated her figure well. I like her in solids. I've always been with you on the opinion she looks good with bangs. I like her with curls too.

I really love that family picture from the star ceremony @huisclothes, Simon's has each of his girls around the waist, Rebecca is touching the youngest, Stella is touching the other boy who is leaning against his little brother. It's just a warm, close family scene, makes me smile to look at it. Totally get the little ray of hope you have for renewal of the series, I feel the same. Brett's does look like a little part, but what a shock, some people won't have a clue who he is. I didn't by either character or screen name until I looked up a clip and then said, oh, that guy? I hope they're not just jerking our chain, I'm about worn out from that. Have a little mercy, writers!

@entwife looks like brett partridge will make a brief appearance considering how far down he is in the credits. wonder when lorelei shows up again.
after yesterday's news from les moonves about cbs not doing a lot of new shows, i have allowed myself a little optimism about the future of the show. not quite doing the snoopy dance yet but not as down in the dumps.

took a look at the still photo of simon and family at the hollywood star ceremony.
stella looks just like him. eyes. smile. face shape. hair.
rebecca rigg always seems a little stiff to me. not a natural in front of the camera like simon.
feel like the boys really favor their mother. the older boy is just on the edge of really maturing. he has light eyes. the little boy is cute but always seems a little out of it. don't know what it is but something about him is off the curve.

brett partridge is one of the usual suspects rounded up in these posts. i've never been satisfied with the prospect of anyone we've seen turning out to be red john and jane certainly didn't shake the guy's hand.

brings me back to my anthropological rant of several pages ago. there is something more than handsome going on there. even in a still shot when you don't know anything about him. i think women respond from the lizard brain. i think a lot of men (including some male talk show hosts) are uncomfortable with simon because their lizard brain is picking up on it too.
also, if you want to see something fun, search jon stewart the daily show simon baker. what stewart says to him at the beginning of that interview is priceless.

yes Robin is slim and still has breasts. I'm not fond of her looks but she's a beautiful woman. let's say, if I were a man, I wouldn't feel attracted to her. Grace is one fit lady! couldn't believe she was actually younger than me..
