Like I said before, the fun factor is back this year !
I was a little disappointed that the Firefly duo has not a lot of dialogues together...

@Joyeful and T.Sax: Castle is CASTLE. It's not Firefly BIS. Enough said. Personally I would love the writers (Nikki Heat books included) to stop all Firefly references. We really don't need them.

I love this episode. It was hilarious and sweet. And the case was actually good! I didn't guess the killer at all.

Castle putting Kate's gift into Gates pocket was hilarious, as was her put-on response to Castle. I realy do suspect that Gates knows about Kate and Rick, and was putting on a show for Rick. As soon as she made a point of sending Rick and Kate both home to watch reality TV, I thought Gates knows, but is playing along to keep the secret from leaving the unit. Gates is not as clueless as Kate and Rick think.

I enjoyed this episode. The case was alright, but the shenanigans outside of the case reminded me of why I love this show. Castle teasing Espo, Ryan's "cock-a-doodle-do", Castle struggling with his wrist buttons, Castle losing the earrings and trying to get them back - priceless. I can't believe Gates ACTUALLY thought Castle had a thing for her (for a former internal affairs detective turned captain, she's pretty clueless). And Lanie and Espo back together!! WHOO!!
My nitpicks:
- Rick and Kate in the final scene. It was sweet and romantic, and I love that. But they could have a little more passion and spark.
- Gina Torres in an episode and doesn't have ANY dialogue with Nathan Fillion? Uh...what?! I mean, I wasn't expecting them to recreate Firefly scenes, but at least let them interact!!

How many ways can I say I loved this episode?
It was great seeing Gina Torres in the ep. I may be in the minority, but I'm glad we weren't hit with "Firefly" anvils over and over again. I get it. I loved "Firefly". I loved "Serenity". I can sit and recite the words of all the episodes and movie. But "Firefly" was "Firefly", and this is "Castle". So, in this situation, less was definitely more in my opinion.
This episode had so many LOL moments. Castle and Gates 'fangirling' over "The Wives of Wall Street", Castle trying to get the earrings back, poor Ryan being the only rooster in the hen house of one, and Espo's nervousness of going out on Valentine's Day with Lanie were all excellent. But the major highlight had to be Beckett performing her own "WIves of Wall Street" interrogation, complete with the table flip. OMG, I laughed so hard I had to rewatch that scene again.
As for Castle and Beckett, the strives they've made in their relationship are remarkable. Kate has gone fro

I actually liked this episode... It was good and a little bit cleverly conceptualised unlike last years Kim Capucci show. That was just dumb ass dumb.
I liked that Castle and Beckett made big strides in their relationship. And giving him that Draw! Amazing! But I prefer his apartment to hers so I hope he reciprocates with a cupboard as well! Can't wait for next weeks eps! Seriously going to be epic.

Beckett asked Espo to do something and he replied,"as you wish" which is what Westley would say to the Princess in Princess Bride. It was him saying, "i love you". I'm not saying that Esposito is secretly in love with Beckett but it did seem like a V-Day shout out...

All I'm saying is how can Gina Torres be a guest star and not one Firefly reference. I feel a bit cheated.

Tonight's episode epitomizes the reasons why my husband and I love watching "Castle" together! The moment when Beckett offered Rick his very own drawer, both of us turned to the other and smiled - we'd been exactly at that place and done that, too! SO human and tender and sweet - in an episode that was a Fillion-Fan's delight - it's episodes like this that make my hubby and I agree that "Castle" is just the BEST hour of the week on TV - ANYWHERE!!!
