Grey's Anatomy Round Table: "The Face of Change"

by at . Comments

Welcome back to TV Fanatic's Grey's Anatomy Round Table!

Our Grey's Anatomy review broke down "The Face of Change" in great detail. Now, TVF's Sean McKenna, Christina Tran and Courtney Morrison are back for a Q&A discussion of many of the episode's events.

Read their answers below and weigh in with yours!

----------------------------------------

1. What was your favorite scene from the episode?

Courtney: Alex had a really standout episode, so pretty much every scene he was in was great. Gotta also love everyone busting on Jo and Alex that someone is going on between them.

Sean: It was so minor for the episode, but when the elevator doors closed to reveal Derek's face I had to laugh. It seems so silly seeing as we watch these doctors every week, but that close up was like right in the face. Obviously a shock to Richard too.

Christina: Well, it

2. Were the doctors crazy bringing in that trauma patient or was it the right thing to do?

Courtney: Both! Definitely crazy... and I'm pretty sure illegal. But they are doctors who took oaths to save lives. If the kid wouldn't make it to the next trauma center than they did the right thing. My only question was, did anyone ever contact the kids parents? They performed surgery on him and there was no mention of consent.

Sean: Crazy. I get that they are there to save lives, but imagine the lawsuits for what they did. And while I'm glad they saved the kid, because he would have died if he went to the other hospital, they were lucky they managed to get away with it.

Christina: Definitely both! On one hand, I wish they'd start learn a few lessons and break the rules less often, but then again... it would borderline boring and we're here to watch captivating television.

3. Who is your pick for brand ambassador?

Courtney: Personally, I think they should put all of the guys on the posters! Who wouldn't want to be in a hospital where you have that to look at?

Sean: Cristina. I don't know why, but maybe it would be funny especially because she didn't want to be. Although, it was humorous Alex and Jackson battling it out and kind of made me miss Jackson and Mark doing similar things together.

Christina: Meredith! She just rocks.

4. Should April go for it with the cute paramedic or should the relationships stay inside the hospital?

Courtney: Cute paramedic! The little we know about him seems really sweet and Jackson is having no problem hanging out with Stephanie. Time to move on April!

Sean: Pick the paramedic. Let Jackson go (although, we all know that drama will come right on back) and try and survive a relationship. I just have a feeling April will ruin it for herself though.

Christina: Paramedic FTW. Someone ought to date outside the hospital.

5. Alex and Jo look like they are on the road to a relationship. We’ve discussed it a few times now. Should they go for it or are they better as friends?

Courtney: Go for it! Like yesterday! Alex deserves a chance at love and Jo seems to really get him. I couldn't think of someone who is a better fit for him. Plus, have you seen him smile lately? I can't remember the last time he did that before Jo.

Sean: I think it would be more fun to leave them in the friendship zone. The show is really pushing them together and it looks to be headed that way, but it would be major unpredictable if they didn't go there (at least for a while.) I kind of what to see more of them together before they jump right in the sack.

Christina: I've been rooting for these two since day one, but like their chemistry as friends just as much. What's the rush to see them as a couple?!

Was it not the best when Derek came into the ER and had the codes for the narcoctic cabinet. Hello does anybody read this

-Grey's fray house of frolicking. I love how they still have coed moments like trying to avoid hearing or walking in on people doing the dirty. Also Callie and Webber at the other hospital. Golden.
-Both. Fortunately it worked out in their favor.
-Both the guys. Yummy.
-Go for it. Personally I think April needs to figure herself out before she ends up with anyone but I like the idea of someone dating outside of the hospital for a change.
-Friends! What happen to platonic relationships? They do exist!

1. I loved when all the doctors came together to save the little boy, and stood by each other's side. 2. Both. But they had to do the right thing, and saving the little boy was the right thing to do. 3. Out of Alex and Jackson. I want Alex. 4. I love Paramedic Matt, but overall Jackson and April belong together. Even if she is crazy, and Jackson is sleeping with the stupid intern. 5. Don't really care if they get together or not. But they are most likely are, and that's fine.

fav scene-- OWEN'S one liner at the end-- 'you guys are killing me' ..one simple sentence shows that as a surgeon he would have prbly done the exact same thing..but his responsibilities as chief to keep the hospital floating restricts him. it brings out the constant battle of the heart of a trauma surgeon and the brain of a chief. the trauma patient- 5 kinds of illegal, a lil far fetched, but still the right call. face of change- why one! im sure they put up plenty of hoardings! avery alex hunt derek! all are welcome to pose away! ;) cute peramedic for april..but we all know she and avery are gonna end up together without a doubt! alex and jo should start dating..but instead of the overly mushy crap..make their relationship more fun and jovial.. leg pulling..smart one-liners..that kind of stuff!

Alex and Jo should stay friends. It would be hilarious if Jo starts dating someone and Alex does not think that guy is good enough for her. Then she tries to match Alex with someone and that does not work out for him. In my mind I see many very interesting ways for this story arc too go and I really hope it is creative and interesting, not predictable.

1. Really liked the E.R case and all scenes with Callie/Richard (so funny !) 2. They were crazy (but it's classic Grey's) and it was the right thing to do, they are doctors after all. 3. Alex !!! Actually I can picture Bailey as well ha ha. 4. Paramedic of course ! April can't treat Jackson right and Matthew seems right for her ! 5. They should go for it, Jo doens't seem crazy even though she's had a tough childhood, she will be able to understand him and I think they have a very sane and cute relationship, Alex deserves love, can they go there already ?

1.Where Alex had the sense to stop Mer trying to open the locked ER doors. What a gentleman looking out for pregnant Mer.
2.How did they sneak the secret op boy into being admitted into the post op ward etc? IF Kepner hadn't been there the paramedics would have had no option but to go to the other hospital.
3.Why wasn't the pregnant lady in the running?

Part II - 3 - I am with reviewer Sean - I miss Mark alot & this episode would have been a great one with the one liners he would have coughed up if he went up against Jackson. I LOVE Alex but he gets too snarky with things like this. Alex is always in a much better place when he is with "his kids." 4 - My vote is for Matthew, the cute paramedic - while I love Jackson, he exhibited zero self-control & hopped into the back seat with Stephanie - now as far as I am concerned, he can stay there. 5 - And I STILL do not see ANY chemistry between Alex & Jo - now if the character of Lucy Fields was still on, we'd still be seeing fireworks fly!

1- Favorite scene - when Meredith tried reaching Cristina w/Cristina ignoring her beeper when she was with Owen - a far cry from when she reamed him a new one a couple of seasons back - where Owen talked her into ignoring Teddy's page when they were in an on-call room. Or did anyone take that as she didn't hear her pager go off? Either way, the page certainly was not a life or death situation as we already had that with the boy's emergency surgery. 2 - Yes, it was crazy, but crazy is where Shonda takes this show & these doctors. The best quote of the night because of what they did was Owen telling Cristina "you guys are killing me." That quote just might become true in some way - not killing Owen - maybe him being fired or stepping down even though we see Derek saying that to Owen this coming week. 3 - Instead of one doctors being the ambassador - how about a good group shot of them all - the original group of doctor's, w/Bailey, Richard & Owen -not the interns. I am with reviewer Sean - I miss Mark alot & this episode would have been a "Mark's dream" of an episode with the one liners he would have coughed up going up against Jackson. I LOVE Alex but he gets too snarky with things like this. Alex is always in a much better place when he is with "his kids." 4 - My vote is for Matthew, the cute paramedic - while I love Jackson, he exhibited zero self-control & hopped into the back seat with Stephanie - now as far as I am concerned, he can stay there - but I still really like him. 5 - And I STILL do not see ANY chemistry between Alex & Jo - now if the character of Lucy Fields was still on, we'd still be seeing fireworks fly!
