James Van Der Beek to Play Gynecologist on CBS Sitcom

Following the cancellation of Don't Trust the B in Apt. 23, James Van Der Beek has recovered nicely: the actor has signed on for a CBS pilot sitcom title Friends with Better Lives.

James Van Der Beek on Franklin & Bash

Van Der Beek will portray Will Stokes on the series, which centers on a "group of thirty-something friends who each think the other has it better," according to the network synopsis.

Stokes is one of two physicians in a gynecology practice and is considered intelligent, sarcastic and desperate to recover from his fiancee's infidelity.
