Elizabeth Banks is back and Gloria's showing off her rack! Sorry. I couldn't resist the rhyme. Yes, it's true, Banks returned this week as wild Sal on Modern Family.

Also in "Best Men," Jay wasn't pleased with how much Gloria is exposing of herself when breastfeeding Joe.

It's not so much a breastfeeding issue as it is the fact that Sofia Vergara is HOT and her breasts cause a bit of a commotion. As Jay said, Phil almost ate a candle when she whipped them out at dinner. While breastfeeding is a natural and healthy thing to do, I think Gloria might just be causing a lot of extra stares because, well...she's Gloria.

When Manny's art teacher calls Jay and Gloria into school to discuss Manny's latest fascination with drawing the female anatomy, it's brought to their attention that it might be time for Gloria to cover up. While I, too, would be convinced it was Gloria to blame - especially when Jay hilariously held up the bust next to her to do a side by side comparison - wouldn't that be just a little too Oedipal? Most teenage boys would be like "ugh, Mom, put those things away!" 

Granted, Gloria and Manny are a little weird - she still runs his baths at 14-years-old - but it still didn't make sense. Then we find out that it's the nanny Manny for whom was jonesing. Not uncommon. Just ask my brothers, that's all I'm sayin. Hey, at least Jay got some tiramisu out of it!

Elsewhere, Claire had me cracking up over asking Haley to dinner. She seriously should have just had Phil pass her a note like they were in study hall. She was acting all cool jock about it. The important and sweet thing is that Claire is getting Haley back in her life! And it's perfect timing because she might be losing Alex.

Raising a kid is like sending a rocket ship to the moon. You spend the early years in constant contact and then one day, around the teenage years, they go around the dark side and they're gone. All you can do is wait for that faint signal that says they're coming back. | permalink

I don't think Phil and Luke will ever have this problem. They are two peas in a pod. Although Phil just might suffocate from the amount of what I presume to be Axe body spray that Luke was layering on.

One kid who has a lot of sass is Miss Lily. Loved that ending scene on the couch with her and Sal. They've been competing for attention since Elizabeth Banks first premiered on Modern Family. 

It was great to see Banks and dare I say that her vows stole the show? When she talked about how marriage terrified her and she thought Cam and Mitchell were so boring until she realized that nothing (even putting in shelf paper) is boring when you're with the right person... I totally choked up. Leave it to me to cry from a sitcom!
