NCIS: Renewed For Season 11!

at . Comments

NCIS just keeps rolling on, and shows no signs of slowing in quality or popularity.

As such, it's officially been renewed for an 11th season by CBS, which agreed to terms on a contract extension with star and executive producer Mark Harmon, the network announced Friday.

"In a world gone niche, NCIS keeps getting bigger, and Mark Harmon continues to define the role of leading man on the #1 show on television," CBS President and CEO Leslie Moonves said.

NCIS Cast on Walk of Fame

"NCIS is the type of franchise every company wants in today's global content ecosystem - high-quality storytelling that generates passionate viewers and drives revenue on every conceivable platform."

True, true and true.

A rarity in today's environment, NCIS' ratings have only grown since its 2003 premiere. NCIS Season 10 is has been the top-rated drama on television, averaging 21.48 million viewers.

Just last month, it delivered its second-largest audience ever with 22.86 million. The terms of Harmon's deal were not disclosed, but at this rate, Season 11 may not be the team's last.

How long can it keep this up? Time will tell, but congratulations to the cast, producers, writers and crew members for continually delivering such a quality product and for being recognized for it.

When will it start?

NCIS is the ONE show i always follow.
And this is the best show i have seen sp far.
I would be heartbroken if the team falls apart now

NCIS is the best show on tv! All of the actors are fantastic, but Mark Harmon is the glue that holds them together. He is the BEST!! I never miss an episode and I would be devastated if it went off the air. CBS has a winner and they better keep it!

NCIS is my favorite show of all time. the character have a great chemistry together. They complement one another. I think it is the best written show on TV. Please keep NCIS on as long as possible. Love Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Ziva, Tony , McGee, Abby, Ducky and Palmer.

I thank that NCIS is the best show I ever sean.

NCIS characters and their development are like family. We all know people and relationships like this cast. Would like to see Jamie Lee Curtis and her character become a regular. Smart, beautiful ladies with platinum colored hair are a large percentage of your audience. Gibbs knows redheads are the first to go gray and he deserves the best, someone his age, with life experiences and wisdom. Come on CBS ...we want spark and challenge in every phase of life, including do you...that is why you and NCSI are #1. Let' s reflect all stages of life....we like seeing the best, worst, flaws, and all, which means growth in us all, reflected in this outstanding drama.

I now own seasons 1 thru 9 and I plan on more. This show is so special for me because it got me through a long bout of leukemia. After I spent 6 weeks in a coma, I was left with no useage of my legs or arms. I spent many evenings alone and this show, NCIS, got me through. I was able to place myself with them and in fact that feeling drew me in; they became like my family. I know that sounds weird, but the way they bonded it felt like real. I was able to relax and still feel some kind of closness. Thank you NCIS keep it going!

NCIS is one of the BEST long term shows on TV...this series should be winning awards often, and I continually watch regular show, and the repeats! Every show, for me, has been great! Loved Tony coming through with tenderness and concern for Ziva at her Dad's shiva/service, and it was touching scene. Love, love Harmon/Gibbs and all the cast...this show is well written and hope it continues on, and on, and on...

I am so happy that it's still going to be on !! I never miss a show and have been a huge fan of Mark and David's for years..Glad to see Leon is back too.

NCIS Quotes

Tony: One other question, I know you're an expert in English history. And I was just wondering, have you ever heard of Archibald Drummond, the 17th Earl of Trent?
Ducky: The Earl of Trent. No, I can't say I have. Why?
Tony: I was just wondering. Thanks.

McGee: All right. Well you should probably know that Abby and I used to date?
Bishop: Ew. Like, each other?
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: Wait - isn't that a violation of rule 12, never date a....
McGee: It was a long time ago. After we'd broken up, one night I went to her lab. Found a scribbled piece paper; a list. Potential boyfriends had to fulfill certain conditions by a pre-arranged date or else, goodbye.
Bishop: Such as.
McGee: Things started off relatively normal: opening the door for her, flowers, putting the seat down. Then around number 8, it gets uh...
Bishop: What?
McGee: Does she know you have these?
Bishop: Does she know you have these?
McGee: Yeah she wasn't happy when she found out.
Bishop: These are all very specific.
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: These ideas apply to you?
McGee: No those rules weren't in place when we were together. At least I don't think so.
Bishop: What's with the two month cutoff? Abby's sabotaging herself. I've seen stuff like this before. We have to talk to her.
