@jrwt, I also miss the dark and creepy stories that used to be a feature of Supernatural. I hope they return. This show needs more, you know, SUPERNATURAL.
Having said that, however, I enjoyed this episode (as I did last week's.) Love the bat cave and I hope the writers make the Men of Letters an interesting arc compelling enough that will link Seasons 9 and 10.
I loved The Golem again - now, THERE'S a character I'd like to see again!

loved where the story went.Thought it was great that Dean was caught off guard and totally out of his element, while being hit on in the bar. This ep. is hopefully going to lead in to some future of the Golum in the future. It would seem that Sam and Dean finally have help that they don't have to worry about, when things get down and dirty. I actually would like to see another ep. where GOD makes another appearance. Maybe even let something slip as to who he is,where the boys just look at each other and say"ya think"? "Na can't be" and just go on. Or for that mater, maybe even some interaction between GOD and Cas. Glad to see they have a fortress of solitude now. I don't care who you are,you can't be on 24/7 your whole life. Sam is in his element for the first time.

Terrific episode. I've already watched it twice. I think the "batcave" will allow for opportunities to see another side of these characters and perhaps be even a tad more "brotherly" than they have for awhile. I am excited for the rest of the Season.

I really enjoyed John DeSantis (Golem) a lot - there is not much out there about him online except his height. Thought he was menacing but awesome!
There were a couple times during the episode where I was thinking "How much more can they possibly introduce to us this season?" but I'm guessing they'll wrap it all up like they always do. :-)
Love my Dean and Sam!

Not likely this episode that much. Nice to see the 'Batcave' but the Golem story was, once again, weak. The show seems to be losing it's primary focus of scaring people with what could be out there. Sure I like mythology as much as the next guy but I tune into this show for the monsters and the real drama of lives being on the line and that seems to be slowly getting lost with each new episode. And I don't know about anyone else but I really miss the dark and creepy; turn off the stupif lights; there too bright. Don't the writers know that in the light people can see how lame these stories early are but add a little dark and we see more of the undertones and the possiblities of real terror.

Fun and weird episode. Where is SPN going with this. I hope it's related to the tablets.
Okay ep. Hilarious to see dean flustered from getting hit on by a gut. Sam looked good with the books. More natural. The ending scene with sam into the books and dean propped with his feet crossed is a really good example of who the brothers are at their core. Sam is constamtly on the hunt for info, studious, book worm. Dean would rather fight and kill, then hang back with a beer.

Decent good episode. I would like this show to crossover with "The Vampire Diaries" and/or its spinoff show sometime maybe next season or probably the next season after that. That way it'll be more interesting and fun.

I really enjoyed the show though I did expect more magical battles from the Nazi's. I also enjoyed Aaron and his Gollum and hope we see more of them in a future episode.

Good ep! I'm wondering what made the Men of Letters leave their invincible fortress in a panic, too. Maybe one of them turned traitor and allowed something in? But if they did, why didn't that something destroy all the books in there? And if thats the case, that something might still be out there and Sam and Dean may not be as safe in their fortress as they think they are. Another mystery! Can't wait for the next ep. Kevin's deciphered the tablets and now knows how to close the Gates of Hell.

Now this was a good episode compared to last weeks episode. I'm really hoping for this season to pick-up, as it's beginning to remind me much of 7 - no direction and constant scrambling of storylines.

I wonder if we'll ever find out what made the Men of Letters who operated the secret bunker/lair to flee so quickly? And why would they leave the place that's supposedly completely safe? Also, it's nice to know that the lair not only has mysteriously-sourced water and power, but WiFi as well! Handy, that.
