Before The Vampire Diaries takes a mini break until mid-March, Dr. Meredith Fell will make her return on the February 21 installment, "Stand By Me."

The CW has released four new stills from it, depicting the presence of Caroline again (thank goodness!); a showdown between Damon and Stefan; Bonnie plotting something with her friends (the official synopsis teases her reveal of Shane's plan, along with a new scheme from Elena); and a bonding moment between Elena and Matt.
