Steve Aoki to Perform on Arrow, Meet The Huntress

at .

Arrow will feature a pair of returns tonight:

  1. The Huntress.
  2. Oliver's revived nightclub.

And Steve Aoki will play a prominent role in each.

The DJ makes his first television cameo in "The Huntress Returns," although he joked with me over the phone that it felt like he made an appearance when Jesse Pinkman rocked his T-shirt on an old Breaking Bad episode.

How does performing on a television set compare to an arena of fans? It's similar, Aoki said.

"I was able to talk to the audience and get them to understand that you can't be holding cocktail glasses during the show," the DJ said. "Especially in the first row. You've gotta let loose. The music was also loud and no one was talking or anything. There's no dialogue. It felt pretty real."

Aoki plays himself and is the featured attraction in Oliver's nightclub re-opening. But his performance gets interrupted by a certain "bad ass," as the musician describes The Huntress.

Simply put, she comes in and "f-cks sh-t up," said Aoki, who will perform two tracks off his new EP tonight, "Transcend" and "Singularity."

And while he couldn't reveal any major plot points from the Arrow episode, he could relay what would happy if he and star Stephen Amell ever arm wrestled.

"He would kill me."

Arrow returns TONIGHT at 9/8c on The CW.
