@huisclothes While it pains me greatly, I agree that, if not before, at least at the point, how can I say this without that bus revving its motors, where Patrick's body remembered that familiar destination, there would be some natural enthusiasm. I think he also really enjoyed waking up to the view of a woman clothed only in his shirt and making him breakfast. He scanned completely up her bare legs.

@watcher and estatica true, he might not have acquitted himself like the swordsman we hope he is, but there's still plenty of info to be gathered for rj. and, i guess i don't agree that he was so passive. he started out slowly, finding his way to her. but with most guys, once they turn a certain corner, things get enthusiastic. i think it all came back to him like riding a bike. and sex with a new woman is always exciting. i don't think he just laid there. don't think a man looks that perky and pleased with himself the next morning if he did.

Lisbon's uncharacteristic anger as a plot device could also have been an expression of abandonment issues coming to the fore and triggering the associated rage. Rather than explode, she went cold. Just babbling.

As fun as it is to speculate and joke about it, I tend to think Estatica is right. I doubt Jane really revealed much about his true sexual preferences with Lorelei. He was clearly depressed and, as Estatica said, barely responsive. I suspect it was a pretty plain vanilla encounter in every way. Unless Lorlei took the lead, which I think is very likely since Jane seemed rather passive and she was clearly directing everything up to that point, in which case I suspect Jane just did as she wanted and the encounter revealed much more about her preferences than Jane's

Estatica

@huisclothes I agree with you. Perhaps Lisbon had to say those lines so Lorelei could have a reason to drop by.

Still, don't forget how he handled jail the previous times he's been there. It seems the place doesn't affect him as it does other people. The first time he was doing great and even managed to escape. The second time, he didn't even dispute the million dollar bail.

I think she was mostly confused on what to do, unsure of what was rock bottom to Jane and if bailing him out at that time was the best thing she could do as a friend.
