Khloe Kardashian is officially out.

Mario Lopez is officially still in.

Fox sent out a press release this morning that confirmed the departure of Kardashian as X Factor host, while welcoming the former Saved by the Bell star back for his second stint at the helm of this struggling singing competition.

“I’m thrilled Mario is back for Season Three of The X Factor,” said producer Simon Cowell. “Hosting a live show and keeping the judges – especially Demi – in line, is not an easy job, but Mario is a pro and we are glad he’s coming back.”

Cowell, of course, will remain a Season 3 judge, while Demi Lovato will also return this fall. The series will soon announce replacements for panelists Britney Spears and L.A. Reid.
