I'm STILL not convinced that joe is dead that was TOO QUICK to determined the dental records that it was joe in the cabin. All of his stupid MINOINS are on the loose including EMMA?............that girl has to go SHE CAN'T CARRY OUT WHAT JOE HAS DONE....JOE WAS THE 'FUEL' FOR THE FOLLOWERS. WITH HIM OUT *FOR NOW* SHE CAN'T LEAD THEM. JAMES PUREFOY DID ONE HELL OF A JOB PLAYING THIS PSYHCO I THINK HE'S BACK NEXT SEASON... BURNED AND SCARD UP AND LOOKING FOR SOME REVENGE!

Joe is not dead, he will be back. Yes they found teeth and matched dental records but he is not dead.
I knew Molly was going to kill and or try and kill Ryan and Claire. I actually think Mike will find them and get them to the hospital and they will both survive, but Claire will spend most of season 2 in a coma and then she will wake and not remember Ryan so he will lose her that way.
Not sure if I will watch season 2 but I will see.

This show is just too predictable. As soon as Ryan & Claire started to get busy you just knew that it would end like it did. That's he problem I have with the whole series.. we already know the outcome. I wouldn't of killed Joe off, he's a great actor. Now you have Ryan and a bunch of mindless groupies.

really, any parents writing the show, any mother's watching the show. you're telling me Claire wouldn't want to see her son the first thing she does.

(Continued)
5. By the start of the final segment, it was obvious that Molly would drop by, but I expected her just to go after Claire. She evidently did not know that Claire would still be alive, which means she is not in contact with Joe.
6. Why isn't Ryan in jail? He murdered that guy in the woods.
7. I agree with all of Sean's criticisms, but almost none of his words of praise for the show.
8. It's a bad show, and it really doesn't deserve to come back for another season. It might not have stretched a single story arc out over two seasons like The Killing, but I was just as anxious for The Following to wrap things up, and my misgivings about the shows are nearly equal. That said, I look forward to season 3 of The Killing a lot more than I do to season 2 of The Following.

1. Very disappointing wrap-up to a disappointing season. Unlikely that I'll be "following" the show next season.
2. After Parker's death, why would Ryan have thought that playing Joe's game would be a good idea. Why not take the obvious hint and at least involve Mike if not the whole team in resolving things? And once Ryan met up with Emma, why didn't he shoot her (to disable) and force her at gunpoint to tell him where to go?
3. Did anybody else laugh out loud when Joe attacked Ryan for mocking Poe and belittling his novel? Joe's obsession with his novel was pretty lame, but this was worse.
4. Joe isn't dead. According to the TV news, he had written a fiery death into his novel, making it 100% certain that he staged the event. In this context, Joe losing it over some petty insults makes more sense. That is, he was acting.
5. By the start of the final segment, it was obvious that Molly would drop by, but I expected her just to go after Claire. She evidently did not know that Claire would still be alive, which means she is not in contact with Joe.
6. Why isn't Ryan in jail? He murdered that guy in the woods.

Hard to believe that this show continued to get worse and worse...even the season finale, which suffered from some of the poorest and amateurish writing I've seen in a while. Wow. So many gigantic holes, such poor dialog, so much rampant non-realism, and a totally unrewarding, poorly thought out death scene for Joe. I was hoping to see Emma -- who I despise more than anyone on TV that I can remember -- die, but now if actually watch any of next season I have to experience her despicable character even more!? I wIll watch the premiere of the 2nd season, and if it sucks as bad as so much of the 1st season did, bye bye to The Following.

awful awful ending....it's like we were made to ride along (much too long) for the endless chase; and then, boom. Someone got tired of attempting a good script, and we end up with two stabbings that are supposed to leave us wanting a 2nd season? Forget it. I'm done.
