I was SOOOOO disappointed at the ending of the finale. I was like, really, are you serious. To be honest I felt like I had just wasted several weeks, just to be let down in the end. Yes, I will be back to watch next season, but I sincerely hope it won't build up like this year just to end on a downer!
We'll I gave it a full season. I kept hoping it would get better as the premise was terrific. Too bad they could never pull it together storywise. Won't be tuning in for season 2.
Yes to watch good shows like this, one would have to turn the channel and watch it on cable, network TV never will get a story like this right. The show had serious potential. The first episode was the best and then it turned into a unrealistic romp. But i am enjoying Hannibal, thats for damn sure!!!!
I liked the finale but i was not surprised that the girl from next door stabbed Ryan and Clarie. As soon as Ryan said I will take her back too my place, I knew what would happen. I don't think Joe is dead either. Good show.
Hmm..my comment was held for moderation...LOL why? Meanwhile, all the dish idiots' posts still seem to get through :(
I Loved the show from the minute it Aired, but with every ep since Joe leaving jail the Quality fall but the final redeemed it pretty much.
-Agent Parker: they handled it pretty awesome. the cell, her speech, them torturing the cult member. Agent Parker played out great hope she will torment Ryan some eps in season2.
-Joe and Clair : The way he showed his devotion to his illness was tremendous. And her emotions of being guilty it must really be awful to find out your partner is a serial killer and that U love someone like that.
-Joe and Ryan. I didn't watch many Kevin Bacon stuff, but his performance throughout was perfection. The way Ryan destroys his opponents is just pure perfection. and U have to love him and come on that grandpa is sexy as hell.
For SEASON 2 I see Joe coming back, he probably has a cult member in the forensic. Ryan and Clair are alive for sure. And let's see where and what they will do in S2. Hopefully they will back down a bit, relax and don't make the Followers to powerful.
I loved this show and can't wait for it to start again. Hey why can't Joe still be alive, it happens in soap operas all the time.
No way Joe s dead. But I hope the show is. Nice premise, but too violent. I'm also glad mike made it through the show. And poor Annie Parisse, she met a premature violent end on L&O as well. And it has been bugging me all season where I had seen the actor who plays Mike before--just found out last night that it was his twin I was recognizing from Warehouse 13. Glad I figured that one out!
Perhaps this series relied on the gap between each episode. After watching the first 7 episodes when they were aired, I decided not to make that date every week because it started to feel like I was wasting my time. I watched the last 8 all at once. I found THE FOLLOWING to be nothing more than a grand ridiculous romp through gratuitous violence and improbable actions and reactions. Mostly on the part of the FBI and other law enforcement. I have to agree with wizarddrummer. These actors deserve better writing and that time slot deserves a better show. Oy, I've got to start reading more.
I'm a fan of Kevin Bacon, but I can't watch this show. I tried it twice and it's just too graphic. You can convey horror, etc. without showing it. They lost me early on.
