The CW has released a second sneak peek at this Thursday's special episode of The Vampire Diaries.

In our first look at "The Originals," we see Elijah talking to Rebekah about their brother's trip to New Orleans and why Klaus is on a mission to "silence and slaughter."

In this quick clip, meanwhile, we learn that Elijah has touched down in The Big Easy himself and may have the answer for which his sibling has been searching. Check it out now and prepare for an installment meant to serve as a backdoor pilot for a brand new series this fall:
